  This is an amazing club for any age! When we were looking around for a sport for our daughter we wanted something that was going to teach her self defense without hitting and kicking. Our daughter was 4 when she started judo and has grown so much over the short 2 years she’s been going. They instill confidence, strength and reiterate how important school and learning is. She was a very timid girl when she started and has grown with skill and confidence every time she comes to the club. We’ve recently put our 4 year old son into judo in hopes he gets the great side by side work that our daughter got. Everyone treats everyone like family and it is a great experience to be apart of a club so dedicated to one another. We LOVE SFHapkido&JudoClub!

  My son joined Judo a year ago and has learned a ton. A few months in my son talked me in to joining as well at 37. I feel healthier and love coming to class to learn more. Scooby and the other black belts are great instructors and have helped guide my son and my unathletic self to medal at competitions. We're both looking forward to the next tournament. Over 1 1/2 years in Judo class and loving it. Highly recommend. *update* Just past 2 years in Judo with my son. Going great and looking forward to competing more this summer.

  We had an hour long self defense class for a bachelorette party. Let me tell you, Ryan exceeded our expectations. He went above and beyond anything I could have possibly imagined. There were four women in attendance. He taught us how to escape 4 or 5 different holds, as well as let us practice flipping him over our shoulders. This was a first time class for each of us and he patiently taught and instructed us until we each got the moves right. I would highly recommend SF Hapkido and Judo. Whether its for weekly classes or just a fun, one time event, Ryan will not disappoint!!

  My 14 yr old daughter trains here. She's trying for the Olympics in judo. This school offers top notch training in judo. This school offers competition Judo as well as No Gi Jiu-Jitsu (10th Planet system), and Hapkido (a system designed to defend against other martial arts). The instructors are amazing and absolutely want you to succeed and they will do everything they can to make sure you do. It truly is a family environment here. If you really want to learn how to defend yourself or compete or just get in shape give this place a try!
