Not from Sioux Falls but Next Edge is my go-to gym from now on when I travel to Sioux Falls. It's a welcoming, clean, experienced gym that anybody of any skill level can learn and benefit from. I've traveled to a lot of gyms and will say this is the gym you want to train at, and I will travel back for.

I have been with Next Edge for the better part of a decade now. I can say a lot personally about the friendships that I have been blessed with being here but that would be a book of a review. The simple short of it; they are you. Moms, Dads, Sisters, Brothers, Nurses, Veterans, young, old, you name it. Respect, humility, laughter and amazing skill is what you'll find here. Be it grappling or striking, whether you want to have a new hobby or you want to be a top level competitor there is something for everyone. If you are curious, hesitant, or just plain nervous, I would say just take a breath, take that first step and give yourself a chance at something great. Every step through those doors has been someone's first.

Best martial arts gym around and probably the best value for any martial arts gym in the country. Bjj, Boxing, Muay Thai, and access to weights are included for the membership fee. Very clean. Meticulously clean as far as gyms go. They pressure test (roll live) in every bjj class. I have definitely improved in my skill since beginning lessons. I thought size was the most important factor in grappling, until at 200lbs a135lb blue belt tapped me 5 times in 2 minutes. If you're looking for a REAL WORLD martial art, THIS is the place.

Great instruction with skilled practitioners. The facility is always clean and ready to go. There is a solid variety of classes, though there is a strong focus on jiujitsu/mma. The Kendo and Kumdo classes are my focus, and they're absolutely top.

Stopped by for a brazilian jiu jitsu class on my travels expecting a routine warm up, technique, and then drilling....but then I had my mind blown! Thank you for letting me train and teaching me that there are superior methods to train Professor Hoyer! Awesome!

Top-level training! I travel a lot for work so I have trained Jiu-Jitsu at dozens of gyms and this is by far one of the best! Bruce Hoyer is an elite black belt who uses modern training tools unlike I have seen anywhere else. You can tell it works because of the high level of talent at Next Edge. If you have the opportunity to train here you should feel lucky. Highly recommend.

I've trained BJJ since 2012 in various cities in CA. The personal attention Bruce Hoyer gives his students is truly amazing. The online curriculum allows students to hone skills and focus on areas which they need more time. I was skeptical at first, because I was used to the "move of the week" way I trained at Ralph Gracie SF and Sac then at 5 Star Martial Arts in LA, but having the online stuff is not a cop out. It's more personal. This gym is golden and the coaching is top notch. My jiu jitsu and striking have improved immensely since I started here in November. Iwould be neglectful if I didn't mention the amazing coaching of Derek, Ian, Stephanie, and the higher ranking teammates who care about helping everyone progress on their journey.

The coaching staff are very friendly and the personal curriculum helps you develop your skills at your own pace. Not bunch of knuckleheads trying to rip eachother's face off. They have jiu-jitsu, boxing, & mma. One and most notable gyms in South Dakota

I was there for a month, and from what I've saw in my travels as it always has been the fight game like any sport is dirty and if reviewed correctly we can all name moments where outcome were bought not legitimate. For a hobbiest the gym is nice, but for serious competing it's less then a joke. Just another scam gym that's way overpriced, and the owner when brought undeniable facts is quite unprofessional and will demean you and yell in front of his class to punctuate how immature a gym owner can act, so no class. Also will say he has all the credentials and behaviorally acts as he knows it all, but I don't see his name on a ufc title or ever won a world title in thailand where fighting is a way of life and in a career most thai have 150 or more pro fights before they retire, so the competition is much tougher there. Thank you have a great day but please don't let this average con man overcharge for monotone training that at most should be NO MORE then 60 dollars a month with the lack of attention given on progress.
