We are a Roger Gracie Academy. We use Gracie family’s system of Jiu-Jitsu provided and supervised by Roger Gracie himself to deliver the highest standards of Jiu-Jitsu instruction classes for adults and kids.
I’ve had an amazing experience training at RGA WGC under Raphael. Even though I only come in for drop-ins, I always feel welcomed and part of the team. Raphael has created a friendly, inclusive atmosphere while maintaining high-level instruction, making every session both enjoyable and valuable. What sets him apart is that he’s not just a great coach—he’s also an active competitor, constantly refining his skills and leading by example. His passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is evident, and he genuinely cares about helping everyone improve, whether you’re a regular student or just stopping by for a session. This is a fantastic place to train with a really friendly vibe, I joined as a newbie and was made to feel very welcome from the first minute, it really does has a great vibe. Raf is a great professor and the lessons are really well structured. I have existing shoulder and knee injuries and we worked around these and made technical adaptions. I would highly recommend if you are either new to BJJ or seasoned practitioner.

My daughter attends Jiu Jitsu classes and during that time her confidence and discipline has greatly improved, the teachers are all friendly and very professional, who knows how to manage a class of 5 yo kids with great fun as the kids learn new techniques through play and the results definitely show. My daughter attends classes 3 times a week and will continue for sure . Great club with amazing teachers. I fully recommend 🤗

really great club to take the kids to learn, not to be violent but give them confidence that if they find themselves in a bad situation they have options to be able to make a safe decision to handle it, you wont be disappointed great club!!

Awesome club! Been at RGA for around 6 months now. Raphael is a brilliant coach, always on the mats, always competing and always has time to help you with your ju jitsu. Best coach I've come across so far on my Bjj journey. Some places are like cult and all about the money, Raf cares about your ju jitsu. The rest of the guys at the club are welcoming and really want to help. I feel very settled here now. RGA Welwyn Garden city is the best club and team about.
