If you're just getting started or looking for somewhere to train whilst away from your usual gym. This place should be first on your list, amazing community of people whose sole purpose is to help and improve each other every day. Amazing gym, great family atmosphere and a wealth of experience. This is RGA Preston!
Posted 2 years agoRGA Preston is outstanding! The facility is incredibly spacious, providing ample room for everyone to train comfortably. The community is welcoming and vibrant, making every session enjoyable. The coaches are exceptionally knowledgeable and supportive, guiding each student to improve their skills. My son has been attending the kids' classes since he was 4, for 2 years now, and he absolutely loves it. I started this year and have been thoroughly enjoying it. The atmosphere is filled with great banter and camaraderie, making it a fun and engaging place to train. This gym truly feels like a second family. Highly recommend it!

Posted 2 years agoBeen training here for just over a year now and currently train at the gym between 4-6 times a week and couldn’t imagine my week without it these days. There is a wide variety of classes available, between gi and no-gi formats, ranging from 6am to the middle of the day through to the evenings. With something for everyone 7 days a week. Work commitments mean scheduling can be tight for me but the wide variety of classes and times mean I can train at times that suit my day or week without compromising my time on the mats. Not only is the quality of the training exceptional from a technical perspective, but the culture is exceptional. The gym is a safe environment; truly welcoming to all, regardless of age, prior experience, gender and ability. The culture created by Professor Pan, the other Professors and coaches is nothing short of phenomenal; everyone has a vested interest in your progression and, as such, will willingly give of their time to pass down their expertise. There’s also a large number black, brown and purple belts (apparently not the norm) giving so much experience on the mats and variation in style and approach, every session becomes a new learning experience. Also, if you have kids- the kids coaching is a really well developed program producing some unbelievable talent in the younger members of the club, some of whom compete (and win) regularly. Finally, the best part of the gym is the people who are awesome as is the community. As someone said to me, all you need to do is to give it one hour and you’ll be hooked. For me they were right. Give it a go- 100%.
Posted 2 years agoStarted here as a white belt 5 months ago, so glad I did. Instructors are super competent and put inclusivity, hygiene, and safety high on the priority list. Met loads of new friends and have enjoyed a full calendar of beginner/fundamental friendly classes. If you're thinking about trying Jiu Jitsu, or any self defence, I 100% recommend taking this gym's first free class 😁
