I’ve been coached by Josh and Hardy since white belt, and I feel incredibly lucky to have trained with and learned from them over the past 6 years. Whether you’re a total beginner or an active competitor, I promise there’s nobody better to have in your corner than these two. Their approach to coaching feels really modern. They understand that no two people move the exact same and actively encourage you to build your own game based on what feels right for you. The way they break down key concepts, offer ideas, then let us explore them freely through constraints before discussing them as a group has made a massive difference to both my game and my mindset towards BJJ in general. I enjoy the sport so much more now, my confidence has soared and I have had better success in competition too. All because, thanks to them, I no longer overthink it or worry about collecting techniques/having all the answers and this makes training a really fun creative outlet to progress in. It’s been amazing to see them open a space of their own and start building a team that reflects their values. The quality of the kit also matches the quality of the coaching: a sprung floor with Fuji mats, separate male and female changing rooms, a lifting area—all clean, tidy, and clearly thought through to make the space feel safe and welcoming for everyone. You can just tell they’ve poured their heart and soul into it and no stone has been left unturned. A lovely gym filled with lovely people. Can’t recommend TGS enough.

The coaches really care about community. When they're not at the gym, they're always learning and finding ways to create a better enviroment for their members to flourish. If you train here, you will become better at Jiu-Jitsu, but you will also build new relationships and become part of something special. It's the kind of gym where you find yourself still sitting on the mats with your mates an hour after the class has finished. I couldn't recommend it more.

Josh and Hardy are incredible coaches—super knowledgeable, welcoming, and great at pushing you to improve. The atmosphere at TGS is friendly and focused, perfect for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. The mats are top quality too—clean, well-maintained, and provide excellent support during training. Highly recommend checking TGS out!

Me (46) and my lad (14) have recently begun our Jujitsu journey here with no previous experience of the sport. It's a very welcoming place and any worries we had were soon forgotten about. The team are keen to teach and, as newcomers, it's a very humbling and exciting experience. We love it.

Such a fabulous place to train. Lovely new mats, strength training area, changing rooms and an inclusive environment. The team at The Grappling Society want you to get better at Jiu Jitsu and have a blast whilst doing it! The coaches have created an environment where anyone can thrive and improve their game - whether you’re a newbie or an experienced grappler.
