Dropped in for a class while traveling for work. It’s always expected you pay for a drop-in class. Only asked me to consider buying some merch Which I love doing anyway (cool rash guard). I highly recommend Rio! One they allow a free week, so why not?! On my sons first day, they were so warm and kind and introduced him to the class. It really made him feel welcome and it was nice to see as a parent as well. The Halloween party there was really fun and it was a blast for the kids.

I came to town with the Jiujitsuinsurance.com crew and had to stop by this GFTeam gym in Minnesota while visiting. First thing I want to say is that it is very family focused and friendly! Definitely a place for the entire family to train BJJ in Apple Valley! Also the Level of instruction is very high , and the talent of the adults I rolled with was impressive. Great group of people on mats , I would definitely check this place out if you love bjj
Came here to visit while on a work trip and I was in awe with what i saw. Joao fosters an environment that's inclusive to all. The facility is is spacious, they have great instructors, training partners, and gym overall. I would definitely visit again next time im around!

Very welcoming atmosphere to any beginner! The trainers and the students both took time to personally encourage and coach me. There’s a good mixture of very advanced students here as well as newbies. The perfect place to begin or continue training!
Best jujitsu school in Minnesota, Instructors are very knowledgeable. Everyone is very friendly and willing to Help you hone your Grappling skills.
Rio is owned and operated by people with lots of experience in BJJ. Incredibly welcoming space, especially for women. Everyone is treated as equals and everyone helps each other get better. The best gym filled with even better people.

This is the best Jiu Jitsu I have ever been to. It seems like egos don't exist here. They are a tough team of grapplers, but show respect to all skill levels. Show up ready to learn!
Great place to learn, super patient coaches, relaxed atmosphere. Above and beyond that, they were great with my kids who wanted to start learning (2.5 yo, 4 yo). Joao, Ze, and Vanessa are awesome!

Two black belt instructors directly from the source Rio De Janeiro Brazil. Both of which are fantastic at breaking complex moves into simple and easy to understand incremental steps. And maybe just as important two of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
