Would highly recommend Pro-Core if you’re considering getting into martial arts. Markus is a fantastic coach with high level knowledge! And Joanne is great with having my son in the mma and bjj classes.
Posted 3 months agoVisited this gym when in Peterhead for work and wanted to get some Jiu Jitsu training in. I booked online and paid cash on the night. I would really recommend it. Everyone at the gym was extremely welcoming and friendly. It was a really good training environment with a broad range of ages and abilities. The coach was great and I managed to pick up a decent bit of leg lock technique on the night 🦵🔒😄 Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone in the area looking to train!
Posted 4 months agoI’ve been at Pro Core for about two years now and honestly it’s one of the most inclusive places ever. When I first started I was so shy and anxious, I didn’t think I’d last one session. Now I’m still here and absolutely loving it. Everyone in that gym is basically a big gentle giant. You look around and think “nah I’m gonna die here” but they are the nicest people ever ! Everyone is so friendly and chatty everyone is checking in on you, making sure you’re safe, going lighter with beginners, and actually taking time to help you. The coaches are unreal they have this mad mad talent that’s honestly hard to explain. They’re so laid back and funny, always having a laugh, but somehow still in full control of a room full of massive, rowdy guys. They push everyone hard, but they’re aware of absolutely everything who’s going too far, who’s getting a bit risky, who needs steadied, and who needs encouraged I always feel so comfortable and safe. The coaches are incredible, but the members honestly make the place just as special. Everyone is so friendly and goes out of their way to introduce themselves, cheer you on, and make you feel like you belong. It’s this wild mix of people from totally different backgrounds, jobs, and cultures, and somehow it just works. People I’d never cross paths with in normal life, I end up chatting to like we’ve known each other for ages. The support and encouragement you get doesn’t stop when you walk out the door. People are genuinely buzzing for you when you achieve something outside the gym too. What blows me away is how many people are in there, yet the coaches still take the time to get to know everyone. They connect with you properly, and they get everyone connecting with each other too. It’s honestly so nice to find a place where you feel that seen and that supported. Training here has given me so much confidence. I’ve pushed myself into situations I never thought I could do, talked to people I’d never normally meet, and actually learned to switch off from school and work stress. It’s honestly one of the best parts of my week. If you’re nervous about starting, this place will prove you wrong. Best atmosphere, best people, biggest gentle giants.
Posted 4 months agoMarkus is an excellent coach—highly knowledgeable, patient, and great at breaking things down for beginners. The gym has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and everyone makes you feel included from day one. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to get started in MMA or take their skills to the next level.
Posted 1 year agoBeen training here for nearly 2 years now, great learning environment with even better coaches who are willing to help with anything I’m questionable about; couldn’t ask for a better gym and group of people to train with!
