Pride has offered my son so much over the past 5 months. They teach more than just martial art but great values. Our son has diabetes which has always been accommodated and nothing is too much trouble. The sessions are fun and varied to keep the class focused, which is great as Archie can get easily distracted! Mr Joel/Mr Hill/Ellie are amazing with all the children and build a very special rapport, so friendly and welcoming.
Posted 9 years agoMy son aged 11 started martial arts aged 8, he has already gained one black belt and is working towards his second but more importantly he has gained new friendships and new life skills. Pride really is a family, everyone helps everyone from the instructor to the parents to the children. The instructors are fabulous they offer more than fighting skills, they have helped my son socially and always help him with any issues and problems he may face! Come along and see what they have to offer you won't regret it!
Posted 9 years agoOne of best boxing gyms iv been too. Brilliant atmosphere. I was a little scared but made me feel at ease instantly. Learnt so much in a short space of time. Can’t wait to go back!
Posted 1 year agoAs a mum of 2 young boys I was a little apprehensive about them doing martial arts but really i didn't need to be. When I went and actually began to understand it wasn't just about fighting but a way of life. It's about reinforcing the behaviours we all want to see in our children. It's extra guidance, support and stability for the kids. It acceptance that everyone is different but everyone is welcomed into the Pride family. The friendships we have developed at Pride are numerous. The instructors are inspirational. They will drive you to reach your potential no matter your age. They will motivate you. It's so much better than a gym because every time you go the instructors will always welcome you not to mention the new people you will meet. The kids the adults they help each other out. We all learn together. We laugh together. It's like a big family. There's no judgement. All that as well as learning new skills and progressing to black belt, self defense and getting super fit. The timetable of classes allows plenty of opportunity to fit martial arts into your life. I cannot recommend Pride Martial Arts highly enough. It has changed me as a person at the age of 37. It has also improved my fitness immensly and given me body confidence. It has helped my kids to get on the right road to focus their energies, form new friendships, improved their confidence and improve their behaviour. Pride Martial Arts is the reason I want do martial arts and keep coming back.
Posted 9 years agoGreat place. My son attends classes here to boost his confidence and build self-esteem as well as to learn self defence. All the instructors are patient and knowledgeable. Classes for all ages and abilities. Well run and affordable too. Would highly recommend.
