Decided to do one class to see what it's like i got turned away. I'm told that there's no drop in, if you ask me it's cultish behaviour.

Been a member for about 15 months now, the team and coaches are fantastic for all levels beginners to advanced. Would highly recommend anybody starting their journey or trying out bjj for the first time to give this place a try, they give fantastic seminars from guest athletes in the field, a great atmosphere rolling with people of all different lessons. Each session you will learn something new.

Best place to train around area. Very clean and spacious mat space, changing rooms and restrooms. Great and welcoming training environment with top level coaching and high level training partners.

Fantastic place to learn Brazilian jiujitsu! Most welcoming gym I've ever trained at and very family friendly. It's not in any way intimidating - egos do get left at the door. Lee is an amazing coach that really cares about his students. Top bloke too!

Joining GB Southend is one of the best things I’ve ever done. The instructors are masterful at what they do - combining a friendly, family like atmosphere with expert tuition and guidance.
There’s a great variety of classes from gi, no gi, competition and all sorts. You can train early morning, lunch time and/or evening.
If you are considering Brazilian jiu jitsu this is the place to do it. You will get a warm welcome from the instructors and members alike and learn not just techniques but skills and abilities that are helpful in all aspects of life.
