I had a great experience at OBJJ, the team there especially coach Anthony Rivera for Muay Thai is very supportive and understanding of each and every muay thai fighter. The environment he creates during and outside the class is motivating and positive. I would recommend OBJJ and Anthony Rivera as a coach without a doubt.

I’ve been training with Coach Anthony for a year, and my form and technique have improved drastically. When we first moved to Orlando, Coach Anthony gave us a warm welcome, and this gym quickly became a second home for me. Over the past year, the gym has continually improved, even adding new equipment to help us train and become better fighters. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out the Muay Thai program.

COACH ANTHONY MMA, STRENGTH & FITNESS

From the moment we walked into this gym, it was clear that we had stumbled upon something special. The owner is an absolute gem; our lively chats with him made us feel right at home, and my daughter had a blast during her first class. We were so blown away by the experience that we can't help but shout from the rooftops: if you're in the area, this gym is a must-visit! Since that exhilarating first day, our excitement has only skyrocketed. My daughter has been on an impressive journey, recently earning her second stripe on her gray/black belt in BJJ. Both my wife and I are over the moon with pride. After diving into all the classes myself, I can vouch for the top-notch training provided by the coaches. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), the owner—a remarkable 4th-degree black belt—anchors the gym with his unmatched expertise. Alongside Professors Luis and Gary, every class is a masterclass in technique and professionalism. These champions not only lead with skill but also offer personalized guidance to ensure everyone truly nails the techniques. When it comes to Judo, Lakea is nothing short of phenomenal. His skills are in a league of their own, with black belts in both Judo and BJJ to back it up. And let’s not forget Coach Von, who takes boxing to a whole new level. His classes are a perfect blend of high-level knowledge and fun, creating an environment where learning is as enjoyable as it is effective. My 12-year-old daughter is head over heels for both the kids’ and adults’ boxing programs. She feels supported and respected by Coach Von, which gives me peace of mind even when I'm not around. The gym itself is a gem, featuring an MMA cage and a professional boxing ring. It’s always pristine and inviting, bringing together a vibrant mix of people. The staff—Tyson, Juan, Ila, Pianky, and Chris—are the friendly faces that make every visit a pleasure, greeting everyone with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. In a nutshell, this gym exceeds every expectation. Whether you're hunting for world-class training or a fantastic community vibe, make sure you check it out if you’re in the area. It’s a total game-changer!

I have been attending Muay Thai classes for the last nine months at OBJJ and was recently gifted two private lessons with Coach Anthony -- 10/10 experience. During both lessons, we worked on staying in stance when attacked, answering attacks with my own, and the fluidity of my combos. Coach Anthony was incredibly helpful and instructive. These two hours of work leveled up my game SIGNIFICANTLY. In the past, I was nervous sparring some of the more advanced/competitive fighters. Now, I find myself able to hold my own and keep calm under pressure. The private lessons and regular classes have made me a more confident and capable striker. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in the Art of 8 Limbs.

I've been training Jiu-Jitsu (gi & no gi) and Muay Thai at this gym for the past 2.5 years and have nothing but amazing things to say! I've trained with numerous Jiu-Jitsu coaches and they all work to create a positive environment for students of all skill levels to learn, grow, and experiment with their skills. They are very personable and are always willing to help their students. The class format allows students the flexibility to work both new skills and also practice their current skills to help them grow in their own way. Each coach keeps a watchful eye to ensure students are both learning correct technique and staying safe while on the mat. Coach Anthony leads an exciting Muay Thai program that has been growing since its inception. He leads the class with admirable consistency and is always willing to go the extra mile for his students. He provides various teaching styles and methods that provide students the opportunity to grow in whatever way(s) work best for them. The numerous options of training styles grant students the ability to learn in a setting they feel comfortable with and their own pace, all while being encouraged to push themselves to achieve their goals. The owner, Brad Thompson, and his staff work diligently to provide the students with a positive atmosphere that promotes camaraderie, accountability, and encouragement, to each and every student that steps on the mat. The gym is kept very clean and the equipment is well maintained, which meets a safe standard that students can always rely on. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone, regardless of their experience with martial arts. This is an incredible spot to learn skills, get in shape, and cultivate positive relationships with your coaches, peers, and staff. - Cory Hughes

Really like training here everyone is welcoming and supportive. Muay Thai with coach ant is challenging but also taliored to all experience levels. Coach von’s boxing class is the same, he does this huddle with a message to share with his boxers at the end of every single class that’s very motivating and encouraging, makes you want to be a better fighter yes but also a better person. Coach Rick’s fitness class is great if you want to get and stay and shape. To be honest all the coaches are great very motivating and willing to help you reach your goals whether you’re just trying to get in shape or compete at the next level. I just started training here and it’s already starting to feel like my second home. So, yes give this gym a try if you’re looking for a place to train.

I have to be honest and say I absolutely love this dojo. I visited a few places before OBJJ and this was by far the best dojo for many reasons. They offer a variety of classes you don’t see anywhere else, the hours are amazing, staff are friendly, the facility is clean including the bathrooms but most of all your getting a lot for your money. Muay Thai Coach Anthony is amazing to work with. His classes offers just the right intensity to keep you going and music is always on point. I love how he takes his time and works with each of us (new or already a member). Coach Gary from the no ghee BJJ class was patient with me through all of it! Coach Von from boxing is definitely gonna teach you a few things from the boxing class. He’s super sweet along with all the other coaches. At the very least check out their fitness classes.

I can't fit all of the good things I have to say about OBJJ in this review. Brad is an amazing gym owner who always greets me, and he's been training for decades. The staff are all great people who keep the place extremely clean at all times. OBJJ has the HIGHEST quality classes and instructors for a multitude of different martial arts, and I consider it a second home at this point. P.S. After many years away from martial arts, I've returned today for a tryout Muay Thai class with coach Anthony - I could not be any happier with the drills, instructions, etc. Coach Anthony keeps an eye on the whole class and always gives feedback on your strikes and stance helping you to build confidence and absorb the most during the class. OBJJ is a great gym with amazing staff and a wonderful facility. I trained there for about a year doing mainly wrestling and I recieved top notch training from very knowledgeable instructors. My wrestling team at UCF would make it a point to train at OBJJ weekly in order to sharpen our technique. Other members of the gym are also very friendly people who are always willing to help a teammate on the mat and off the mat, just wonderful people. Another point I consider very important for any gym is mat hygiene. From my experience at other gyms infections were a concern but not here at OBJJ. OBJJ has clean mats that are disinfected everyday and clean locker rooms. I am 100% pleased and grateful for my opportunity to train with OBJJ. They will always be a second home:)

Gary’s morning classes are perfect for this - high quality instruction and competition every day of the week. There are always people willing to roll a little longer after class as well or work on a specific technique. The locker rooms and showers are also kept very clean which makes it easy to go right to work afterwards. Would recommend for any locals looking for a gym or visitors of any skill level looking for a drop in class.

This is by far one of the best martial arts academies I've ever been to. Between the quantity of styles to teach and the quality of instructors, this dojo is a rare gym to find. The Judo program here in particular is top notch. Lakea, Von, Brolio, and Jeff are all phenomenal instructors and world class Judokas. They all teach Judo at a high level with an impressive resume to back it up. The front desk has always been kind and friendly, willing to help out their members in anyway. Logan, Juan and Nichole are some of the finest staff within this Academy and Brad is a phenomenal gym owner who is always looking forward on expanding the program and looking for new ways for the students here to succeed! I'd give this place EASILY a 5/5 star review. It's one of the best here in the state!

The absolute best way to spend an hour of your day! I was nervous coming to my first class as a 35 year old with no martial arts experience, but everyone was so nice and welcoming that my nerves soon passed. I’ve been going for almost 4 months now and I can easily say that it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made and I look forward to continuing my journey there for years to come. Below are some areas I wanted to highlight about my experience there. Facility: Excellent. OBJJ has a facility that is always clean and very spacious. Staff: Outstanding. The instructors at OBJJ are very friendly and the instruction they provide is phenomenal. I have learned so much already and look forward to continuing doing so. Culture: Brad, the owner, and his team of instructors have cultivated a wonderful culture that emphasizes safety and respect at OBJJ. My fellow classmates are always very friendly and welcoming too and I really like that everyone shakes each other’s hand and says hello/goodbye before and after every class. I highly recommend Orlando Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to anyone interested in the martial arts world!

5 Stars no doubt. The instructors are Olympic-caliber or at the very least state and national level, breaking details down for moves on some days and also have more roll/randori heavy classes for those that want it. I was only there for a week and I did the unlimited training, the schedule was incredible, I was able to train almost all times everyday, the people there were welcoming. I've trained in several states throughout the years (MMA, Judo, BJJ, Muay Thai) and can confidently say OBJJ, with the class sizes, facility and instructors is top-of-the-line. One of the few places that has dedicated wrestling for adults for those that want to perfect that part of their game for MMA or BJJ.

I’ve been attending this gym for just under 2 years and it is not like any gym I’ve been to before. Gary runs the 630 am BJJ class and grew it from maybe 5 students to now over 20 plus students on a consistent basis. He undoubtedly knows how to create an environment that not only challenges you but breeds teamwork and proficiency. Would highly recommend Orlando BJJ to anyone looking for a good gym in the central Florida area.

Visited Orlando for a couple days, stumbled across Orlando BJJ on the web. I decided to attend a class because of the state-of-the-art facility they had, but the experience was much more than that! I was greeted by smiling faces all around. Each day that I attended I ended up having a conversation with a student/instructor that kept me there for plenty of time after class ended. The fighters there are respectful, but greatly skilled, and will surely give you great practice. Price was also very fair for whatever you are looking for.

Best school for grappling I have ever been to in my life. I drive 45 minutes to get to this school instead of going to a BJJ school near me. Wrestling, BJJ, and judo for grappling and they have the best instructors I have ever seen! Also made me feel very welcome my first day and I couldn’t believe how low the rate was compared to other schools that don’t offer a quarter of the classes this place does. Highly recommend this place!!!

I joined this school 3 months ago and I must say that this place is amazing. I am so happy I found a school with awesome professors and students. The energy here is like no other. This is not an owner operated school which says alot about the investment that is put into making sure students get top notch training. If you are looking to begin BJJ, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, Boxing or Group Fitness, this is the place!! World Champion Professors/Coaches and very competitive students are here in the heart of Orlando. They offer over 55 classes per week and are open 7 days. Just walk in anytime for a tour. I promise you will leave convinced that this is the place for you and most important, you will feel welcomed. OSSS!!!!

Join3d the Team after getting to know Coach Paul Antonelli is extremely passionate about health and wellness. A lifelong martial artist, He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science and is currently earning his Masters degree at UCF. Paul has extensive training and education in weight loss and sport specific conditioning as well as multiple martial arts including Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, Filipino Kali and Jeet Kune Do. Coach Paul is dedicated to the success of his students and is constantly going above and beyond... However, the multiple disciplines that you can train for at OBJJ is the cherry on the top, huge facility, and even a MMA cage, an open area for weight lifting and even cross fit, oh, and did I mention the gigantic size of their main mat!!!! Super location. Highly recommended.

It's ridiculous what you can do here - not just BJJ (gi & no gi), but also judo, wrestling, muay thai, and even regular boxing. The instruction is professional and it all takes place in an atmosphere that is friendly and fun. Always wanted to try a martial art? Come on down and meet new friends. :)

I am appalled and furious with the lack of professionalism and safety at this gym. My 12-year-old son was taking boxing lessons and, during a shadow boxing session with an approximately 18 year old girl, he accidentally hit her harder than expected. A week later, instead of handling the situation appropriately, an instructor at the gym *encouraged* another older boxer (18+ years) to violently attack my son during a session. The older boxer beat my child to the point of leaving him bloody and bruised. Even more disturbing, the instructor *admitted* to us, the parents, that this assault was in retaliation for the earlier incident with the girl. How can a place meant to teach discipline and safety in boxing allow such dangerous and irresponsible behavior to take place? It is beyond belief that an instructor would condone, let alone encourage, this type of bullying and violence against a minor. Parents, I strongly urge you to reconsider enrolling your children here. My son was traumatized and physically harmed because this gym allowed, and even supported, an act of retribution. I will be taking legal action to ensure that this never happens to another child again.
