Very welcoming environment from the owners to the members! OGC offers a competition class every Saturday that is completely free and open to the public. Levi takes the time to get to know non-members and genuinely cares to see everyone do well and improve. Can’t say enough great things about this place.
I’ve been training at this gym for a few months now, and I can’t recommend it enough. The environment is super welcoming, whether you’re a total beginner or someone with experience. What really stands out is Levi, the head instructor. You can immediately tell that he wants to see everyone succeed, not just his competitors. This gym has found a great balance of pushing you to work hard while still keeping things fun and technical. Levi explains things in a way that make skill development almost intuitive. The team vibe here is also awesome. Everyone is friendly, and there’s zero ego present on the mats. I look forward to coming here to be around genuinely cool and interesting people. Levi and this gym get my highest recommendation.
What I really appreciate is how this academy supports the Jiujitsu community at large. I am not a member here, but have been coming often for classes that are open to all, and I genuinely love visiting here. The teaching is top notch and modern. I have improved my Jiujitsu skills while attending OGC, from the new techniques I’ve picked up, to the minor tweaks to better adjust the moves I already know. The sessions are fire and the lessons have been invaluable! The community here is open and friendly, inviting and helpful. It’s a chill place to just be with other like-minded Jiujitsu loving aficionados. To top it all off the place is quite beautiful with all the amenities that you could hope for! Showers with fresh towels and soaps, a mélange of recovery and repair equipment, plenty of health focus post-workout drinks and eats, and an expanding space to hangout and enjoy! The head coach and owner is attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly passionate about his club and Jiujitsu which he channels thru his compelling presence and magnetic vibe! Highly recommend!!
I had a great time here. I dropped in from out of town for a competition class. Very welcoming environment, super clean gym, nice and skillful training partners and very good instruction. I have dropped into several gyms across Canada and the US and this was the hardest class I’ve ever done. Can’t wait to come back again. Thanks again for the great experience!!

Dropped in a few weeks ago on a friday for the striking class and was met with a warm, welcoming environment. Owner was extremely friendly and striking coach was very knowledgeable and the light sparring was just what I needed that week. NOBODY let their egos get to them. Will definitely be back again once work calms down.

The location is very central to a lot of the gyms in the area. Inside is very clean and well maintained with attractive decor and thoughtful amenities. The staff is welcoming. Warmups cover part of the class time, so I didn't get to drill the moves as much as I would have liked, but I really enjoyed the degree of detail in instruction. When instruction is over-simplified, there are often specific details that aren't conveyed that make a big difference in successful application, especially for smaller practitioners. On the other end, excessive detail is like drinking from a fire hose- and what you retain isn't always what's useful in personal application. At OGC, you get a good balance of the fine details that contribute to technique success as well as alternative applications and the why behind them. I like that the coach at OGC is always learning new ways to teach to different different levels of comprehension. Update: they now have no gi and striking as well.
By far one of the coolest clubs I have ever participated in! I immediately felt welcome, and I felt like I was making friends almost immediately. Everyone is incredibly welcoming. I haven't had the opportunity to become a full.member yet because of personal circumstances, but once that changes joining OGC is the top of my priorities list! Thanks guys for an amazing experience! Can't wait to come back.
I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to practice Jiu Jitsu without any affiliation. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Showers are always clean. Healthy snacks are always available to members. The real kicker is the cold plunge tubs available at all times. Zen vibes. OGC is the future!
A hidden gem in the heart of orlando! Every Saturday these guys are open to the Orlando Jiu Jitsu community and I was fortunate enough to be able to get some rolls in a couple weeks ago. Everyone is super welcoming, friendly, and absolute savages - in the best way obviously :) The gym itself has an awesome vibe and is one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever seen. Levi is an absolute beast and was generous enough to share some techniques with me that I’ll be able to share with my team back home. Highly recommend swinging in and getting to see the skills this gym incorporates into its curriculum. Everyone is incredibly talented and it’s a great way to roll with different people with different games and approaches to the sport. I can’t wait to go back. Whether you’re a novice or tenured bjj practitioner, this place has it all. And I mean has it all. From the ultra clean mat space, to the cold plunge, to the showers and drink selection. Levi has done an exceptional job creating an atmosphere for all levels within the community. This isn’t my home gym, but, I feel privileged to be able to attend the open mats and meet folks from all walks of life. No one is trying to hurt you or be an alpha, it’s just great solid rolls!! Not to mention Levi’s philosophies off and on the mats are off the charts. He really knows his stuff!
Had followed this gym for a while on social media. Facilities always looked clean and always look like everyone has a good time. Took me a while to finally go to an open mat but finally went on Saturday and this place is better then you could even imagine. Super awesome facility, from the second I walked in I was welcomed by everyone and it just had an amazing atmosphere. The levels of rolling were definitely top notch. I have been training for a few years now and would certainly recommend a visit to this gym. Thanks everyone at OGC for being so welcoming! See you all again soon!
Dropped in on a quick trip to Orlando. Beautiful, almost tranquil, space (can you say tranquil about a BJJ gym?). Everything was very clean. Drink refrigerator on site. Excellent, hard rolls. Great people. The owner, Levi, was welcoming, and seems like a quality human! Looking forward to visiting next time I’m back in town.
OGC has been warm and welcoming as an introduction to the world of martial arts. A friend who attends regularly invited me for a session to get a feel for the environment and how it is run. As soon as I entered, I was greeted kindly and given all that was needed to begin practice readily and safely. In just a few sessions the club has exceeded my expectations and will be a place I will attend routinely.
I recently relocated to downtown Orlando and stopped in this fine establishment! Was looking around for a jiujitsu gym to train at full time. I have not left! Good people are very welcoming and chill. I have since decided to continue training here. Always clean, very flexible with all levels of Jiu-jitsu. Highly recommend if you are in town or visiting for a couple of days.
My husband and I recently moved to Orlando from out of state, and we're thrilled to have found OGC to continue our training. Levi and Jess do a great job fostering a relaxed and supportive environment while still pushing athletes to perform at a high level. The classes open with a warmup that incorporates highly relevant movement drills to start the learning process as soon as class begins. Levi has a deep understanding of jiu jitsu movement and is able to break down technique to make it consumable for beginners while also including enough detail to add value for more experienced grapplers. My husband, who got his black belt in 2010, has really enjoyed Levi's classes. As a 135lb female grappler, all the athletes at OGC do a great job of providing fun and technical rounds without making me feel like I'm at risk of injury from anyone using too much strength. The academy itself is clean and well maintained, and OGC offers lots of extra benefits from a cold plunge to stocking extra hair ties. We'll be happy to continue our training here, and we've greatly appreciated the warm welcome we've received thus far.
First impressions matter going into a martial arts gym can be a bit intimidating at first but OGC was so welcoming from the moment I walked in I never felt a moment of discomfort or questioning my being there. I felt at home very quickly. Having a group of people that dedicated and serious about jiu jitsu is absolutely infectious. I can not recommend this place enough. Levi Jess Matt and the whole community at OGC have changed my life for the better.

I have practiced bjj for over a decade, and during that time, have trained at and visited a number of schools. I recently visited OGC for a Saturday open mat and found several things that impressed me. First, the school has very nice aesthetics, which gives the space great energy. It was also extremely clean and offered great amenities (showers, changing room, ice bath, etc). I really liked the foot cleaning station before the mats, as I have never seen that before. Even though it was my first time there, I felt very welcome. Before knowing my rank, I was a given a very thorough and friendly run-down of the school, the expectations as a visitor, and the rundown of how open mat works. This is great, especially for newer students who can feel awkward visiting a new school for the first time. All of the people I met were welcoming, which resulted in a friendly and safe training environment. This is awesome because open mats can often attract all kinds of people (some not as desirable as others), and I felt like the group I met represented the caliber of people this school attracts. All good vibes! Everyone trained hard, had fun, and I didn't see any injuries (also a good sign that people are protecting their training partners). I had several great (and tough) rolls and left with an invitation to visit any time. Overall, it was a great training experience.
Lots of people will say the same things about a school/gym when they visit. That it's welcoming with good instruction, the other members were great rolls, facilities are clean etc etc. OGC is all of these things but it's also so much more. Levi has gone above and beyond to ensure that the instruction quality here is quality, and consistent. That the concepts are cumulative and connected. I have been training jiu jitsu for six years, and only at OGC for the past 5 months about 3-5 times a week. I can honestly say that I have yet to encounter any concept or technique taught here that I have seen somewhere else, or with the same level of detail. If you are new to jiu jitsu - you have to be training here. I see beginners (< 1 year of training) that have a fundamental understanding of movement and timing that put them far ahead of their peers at other schools. If you have some experience in jiu jitsu, you will find your game elevated past whatever rut you thought you were in. There are so many great techniques and concepts drilled here in a week that you have the luxury of keeping what works for you and leaving what doesn't. You will get more in a month of training here than you would get in 6 months at a big-name affiliate school The people that train here are down to earth, kind and the types of people you want to spar with day in and day out. If you are on the fence about switching schools, you shouldn't be.
If it weren’t for The OGC, I do not know where I would be at today. As a child, I struggled heavily with anxiety, confidence issues, and bullying. As I grew up, jiu jitsu gave me an avenue to reclaim my life and build it with confidence. As an adult, it’s shown me how to be a great person on and off the mat. After moving to the Orlando area and taking a hiatus from jiu jitsu, I searched high and low to find the right spot for me. It was important to find a place with similar moral pillars as myself. When I took my trial class at OGC… the rest was history. The OGC has one of, if not, the most welcoming environments I’ve ever seen. Coaches who CARE and a community of members who want to see you WIN. It’s a rare occurrence that you find a place that is unaffiliated to any brand or is so inclusive. What they are doing is unique, but also very important. The OGC shines a light on recovery, mental health, fitness, and jiu jitsu as a whole. As a fitness professional and mental health advocate, the OGC is now staple in my life. If you’re ever on the Orlando area, looking for a new place to call home, or want to get insanely good at jiu jitsu… The Orlando Grappling Club has your name written all over it.
Where to start, they took me and immediately treated me like family. The environment and curriculum is beyond compare to any school I’ve gone to. The pleasure of making friends there and being able to express myself through Jiu Jitsu with the guidances of all the instructors and masters there was beyond what I felt I was paying for. I’ve pay double just for that alone but I’m glad I don’t lol. They truly bring something that you’ll have to see for yourself to believe. So go out there and experience what OGC has to offer. I guarantee it’ll be worth it.
I had dropped in for morning session to see how the class was and I was really impressed. The way they approach the sport and how they teach it was fresh. If anyone comes into the Orlando area I definitely recommend this school.

I’ve been to a few classes at other gyms prior and I felt so out of place and awkward. Right when I walked into Jess & Levi’s gym their positive welcoming and kind spirits subdued that feeling instantly. I’ve never felt so committed to a gym or routine like I have with OGC and the awesome community they are building! Grateful we found them because now that my boyfriend and I are members, we not only have improved within the sport but have been able to take care of our bodies with all the modalities they offer within their membership! 🙌🔥
I came to visit Orlando and was looking for a session and stumbled upon OGC. The gym has a welcoming atmosphere and nobody was pressuring me to do anything other than encouraging me to learn and connect with others. I was in Orlando for vacation for a week and came across this gym. The gym was super clean and the instructor was very knowledgeable. I attended both a morning class and evening class. The morning class was more chill than the evening, but I thoroughly enjoyed both. I got my butt kicked by the evening warm-up and then again by some of their students, but it was definitely worth it and I had a lot of fun. I would recommend this gym to anyone. The instructor’s assistant was extremely helpful and even gave me ideas about places to visit while I was in the area. overall, good atmosphere, good people and good instruction.

I was in Orlando for 2 months and wanted a place to train. I found OGC right away and loved it. Levi and Jess were very kind and welcoming. If you’re thinking about it… do it! Also, check out the open mat on Saturdays. It’s a great atmosphere and lots of good rolls. There’s some real killers attending if that’s your thing. Or, if you’re old and weak (like me) you can still find great training partners. :)

Just moved to Orlando and haven’t been on a mat since wrestling in high school. OGC made me feel super welcome right from the start. Everyone is very friendly and the instruction is awesome. After one session I could barely walk I was so exhausted. 10/10 immediately signed up

I recently moved to Orlando and was looking for a gym to train at. I don’t know anything about BJJ but I know a lot about the vibes. This gym has become my second home and the people make it a home. I have been training here for 5 months and I haven’t met a single person with an ego. Everyone here wants you to succeed and learn. I have taken a few free classes at other gyms and I gotta say Levi explains things in ways I have never seen or experienced. When I just am not getting it or I’m stuck, he’s always there to help and guide me through the move to make sure I’m doing it properly and that I’m comprehending. The only complaint I have is that I wish I had more time on my hands to train. Trust me even if you only can make it 1-2 days a week, you’ll still learn so much. I’ve seen some of the people here train 3-5 days a week and they have grown exponentially! I love this gym and I love this community!

As a newcomer to Jiu Jitsu, I'm thrilled with my experience at The Orlando Grappling Club. The environment is both welcoming and professional! Their coaches and accredited Black Belts are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, making learning both effective and enjoyable. I appreciate the smaller class sizes, as they offer more personalized attention. The focus on technical movement has significantly improved my skills and fitness level. Additionally, their member-exclusive amenities and the access to the Scandinavian recovery center are fantastic perks. OGC's emphasis on hygiene and conduct creates a respectful and community-focused atmosphere. Most importantly, the people are AWESOME! I've trained at many big box franchises, like Top Team, Gracie-Barra and UFC gym. But there's something to be said about this Club. Nestled in one of the biggest cities in Central Florida. You'll find this boutique style BJJ club that focuses on bringing a style/ambiance that gears towards adults with schedules that revolve around those of us with a 9-5 job. The staff and students are all seen as equals and all egos are checked at the front door (regardless of rank and experience) The amenities include showers, ice plunge with plans for expansion of a 2nd mat room with more to come. I've never felt more at home. The membership tiers vary but none the less, the mat is always available all day long. With open mats extended to the community. If you're looking for a place to hone in on your skill and silence the everyday buzz (in your head) then this is the place for you.
I visited OGC for the first time to see what the classes, facilities and vibe was like. After talking with the staff and getting to know what they were all about, I definitely was impressed. The instruction was tremendous and they definitely are creating a unique atmosphere that I haven't experienced with other jiu jitsu gyms. If you are looking for a club-like experience while growing your jiu jitsu, this is the place to be.
I went there for a open mat and the gym is absolutely beautiful, i love the aesthetic the beautiful plants they have there!! And they do a great job keeping it clean and sanitized! Everyone was super friendly and caring for me. I would definitely recommend OGC for anyone looking for a good gym to train!

I travel frequently and always look for opportunities to train. Hands down, OGC was a standout in terms of facility, hospitality, instruction, and community of grapplers there. No detail is left unattended to and I am looking forward to returning soon. If you are anywhere near OGC, make it a point to come train. Additionally, Levi is an outstanding teacher and I came away from my short time their better than I arrived.
OGC is a nice and friendly atmosphere. Everyone was very welcoming. The gym is aesthetically pleasing and has a calming demeanour which is representative of the individuals whom fill the room. I really enjoyed myself there as a first time visitor and highly recommend it to anyone who is a beginner or experienced.
Cleanest and friendliest grappling community I’ve ever seen
I came to Orlando to renew my license and this was the closest gym to me so I decided to stop by. I haven't trained in a long, long time and I didn't come here to train, but when I arrived to inquire everyone was very welcoming, they were having a brunch event and it felt like a cool place. The training was strong and they gave me a heck of a workout. the space was very clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed the little time I was here to train and will definitely visit any time I'm in Florida. Thanks to this team/club for allowing me train and making me feel welcome.

Writing this as female blue belt, I cannot say enough great things about this place. From the aesthetics to the people, everyone is very welcoming and easy to get along with. The mats are spacious and clean. The coach (Levi) is great as well with a knowledgeable framework for teaching techniques in an easy to understand format. I’ve stopped by a couple of times at this point and I can say I’ll be continuing to drop by with the positive impressions I’ve gotten.

Dropped in the Orlando Grappling Club for an open mat while I was in town this past weekend The room had a ton of energy and a very welcoming vibe and feel very relaxing almost tranquil feel when you walk in I travel to Orlando often and am always looking to cross train and get some good rounds when I’m in town a few friends that I’ve made over the years. Have been going here ( that’s how I heard of the OGC ) active competitors, academy owners, to hobbyists so I knew I needed to check it out I reached out via instagram they were very easy to communicate with and always willing to answer questions / never leaving you on read strongly suggest reaching out and dropping in they have great classes on the schedule and the cold plunge right after training is next level and soon they will have a sauna ! Very clean bathrooms , very clean showers , VERY CLEAN MATS! Amenities on site if you need ,water, energy drinks, protein bars, towels well thought out with the comfort of everyone attending in mind Made some new friends got some great rounds in and was able to chill out in the cold plunge after while having good conversations. Over all experience 10/10 make sure you check it out ✊🏽👊🏽🙏🏽 RJ..
OGC is more than a gym it’s a community. I am new to Jiu-Jitsu and everyone one at the club has been welcoming, patient, and understanding. I have never been to a gym that has made me feel like part of the community so quickly. I've been training for about 3 years and didn't want to take time off during a work trip in Orlando. OGC allowed me to train as a drop-in 🙏. I have not come across a BJJ gym like OGC before. The attention to detail is beyond expectations; both off the matt and on. The owners love what they do, and it shows. Great people to train with, loved the music, the superb cleanliness, and vibe! 10/10 Planning to come back very soon!
I stopped by their open mat on Memorial Day (they had open mat + bbq!) and really enjoyed the vibes. Staff was very communicative and there were lots of blue belts willing to modify training for a recently injured rolling partner. But oh my gosh when you go you have to try the eucalyptus scrubby rug thingie - I have never seen this at any other gym and it was AWESOME! Clean feet make for happy rolls :)
Visited for the week. Always drop-in to gyms when traveling. OGC is just different....in a good way (great way actually). The vibe and facility is amazing. PS.... 200lb Brown Belt here and got absolutely handled by the head instructor. Picked up a few pointers. Legit. Can't wait to go back!

Very nice facility - one of the best I've seen in the Orlando area. Friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Clean showers and bathrooms. Would definitely recommend checking it out.

(Writing this review as a white Belt) This gym was amazing. I’ve never seen a grappling gym or really any gym have as beautiful of an interior design as OGC. When I walked in I was stunned by how immaculate the vibe was. The people were just as amazing. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I love how they took they’re time to explain how to use the stretching and recovery equipment. The cold plunge was wild experience but I can’t wait to try it again. The guys rolling they’re were beyond dope too. I got to roll with some high belt guys that showed me a lot. Everyone there was so willing to coach you up while you roll with them. I never felt overwhelmed. 10/10, five stars, 2 thumbs up, would definitely recommend to a friend.
Super cozy space. Smells really nice and the owners are very friendly. Also they had DnB playing during the session. Fire. Can’t wait to visit again!

I've had the good fortune of training in jiu-jitsu gyms around the world. This place stands out head and shoulders above the rest. The ambiance, teaching, and over all vibe are just legendary. When I am in the Orlando area this is my new jiu-jitsu home. Try it, you will be pleasantly pleased.
I am from CA and came by to visit this gym for a workshop and open mat while here for Pans. The facility is very clean, staff is welcoming, instructors are experienced and very technical and many great training partners. I had so much fun spending time here and will definitely be back next time I am in Orlando!
The Orlando Grappling Club has been an awesome experience since signing up earlier in the year. The facility is very clean and organized. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The members are super friendly and always great to practice with. The membership perks are amazing. Looking forward to many more sessions with the Club.
Love training and learning the techniques at OGC! As a new white belt girl I felt welcomed at the mat. Levi, Matt and Jess has helped me achieve so much since I've started. It feels good going in a place where I know I won't be judged on learning from my mistakes but being helped on learning the right technique for it. My girl Jess! Best partner I could've asked for, love drilling/rolling/ learning with her. As a Brazilian myself, they're helping me take this out from my roots. Very thankful for OGC.
The most professional BJJ gym I have ever been to. Instructors are extremely knowledgeable, kind and helpful. You can feel your grappling progress after each class. Social atmosphere is very friendly, outgoing and always open for great practice-NO EGOS! Gym is spotless and in excellent condition. Highly recommended for everyone who is serious about their BJJ journey as an athlete or as a hobby.
Very relaxed and friendly environment. I felt welcomed immediately and it was easy to feel at ease. Clean and visually pleasing. Chill music, attractive mats and decorations. We tend to overlook the aesthetics of gyms, but it's nice to walk into a place that's easy on the eyes. Great instruction. I got direct feedback on my technique and some very useful and more broadly applicable tips. Great place for beginners and more advanced practitioners. Unique training. Not your traditional bjj warm-ups. Fundamental movements that can apply on and off the mat. Also surprisingly affordable for the location and amenities included.

Coaches and members were all very welcoming. The facility is neat, clean, and offers any amenities needed for pre and post training. They have a great vision for expanding the club and I believe it will only get better.

From the minute you walk in they treat you like family! The facility is spotless and the atmosphere is electric. It’s the kind of place you can’t help but be drawn to. Best jiu jitsu gym I have been to. I became a member as a blue belt and every class I take it makes me feel like a white belt again with how detailed and technical professor Levi gets into the technique. Definitely recommend to anyone of any lvl in jiu jitsu.

Visited Orlando for work and dropped in here for roughly a week. The instruction here is excellent, the vibes here are great, and the people here went out of their way to make a visitor feel welcome and accepted. Highly recommend OGC for those near Downtown.
