I can't speak highly enough of Orangeville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy! From the moment my family and I stepped through the doors, we were warmly welcomed into a supportive community. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and dedicated to helping each student grow. What sets this academy apart is its emphasis on family values - it truly feels like a second home. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a complete beginner, there's something here for everyone. The classes are well-structured and cater to all skill levels, making it easy for families to train together. I highly recommend this academy to anyone looking for a positive, inclusive, and empowering martial arts experience for the whole family!

OH. MY. WORD. where do i even start with this dojo. i walked in not knowing a thing about BJJ and after my trial class i was instantly addicted. the whole community at this club is absolutely amazing and so welcoming that you'll feel like its family even if its your first day. the coaches are very well knowledgable and always up for a few laughs. 10/10. 365 days of the year i would recommend this club with every ounce of my being.

I can't say enough good things about OBJJ. My son started 6 months ago. He had a rough JK year at school, he was pretty badly bullied over his speech difficulties. We ended up switching schools as his permanent nickname became "The baby". Because of this I saw my happy, social boy suddenly struggle socially and eventually, it got to a point where he was scared to interact with anyone. As someone who's been navigating anxiety my whole life, it broke my heart to see my son going through the same struggles. OBJJ changed him. His confidence is through the roof. He takes risks, he approaches and initiates play with other kids everywhere we go. Even his reading has improved and his teachers have noticed positive changes. He tries new things without fear. My heart is full. I'm so grateful for this beautiful place. Truly.

I've been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu on and off for about 11 years. As I traveled and lived in different places across North America, I was fortunate to train at a lot of different Dojos, including Gracie Barra and Alliance to name a few. Being exposed to different dojos and styles of coaching I was able to develop a sense of what is important to me and my family to be part of a dojo. From what I learned, the feel of family friendly and safe atmosphere is the most important in sustaining long term training. Since coming back to Canada I was fortunate to find Professor Andrew and Professor Jake from Brampton BJJ, which is part of the Jiu-Jitsu for Life team, and for the past 2 years I have been training with them. Recently Professor Jake has moved up to Orangeville and opened the Masters Grappling Academy. The club is still affiliated with Jiu-Jitsu for Life team and the Brampton BJJ, and we still enjoy the comradery and cross training. The bigger the family the better :). Professor Jake has been instrumental with developing my stand-up Judo game as he is not only an accomplished Jiu-Jitsu black belt and competitor, but also an accomplished Judoka with a black belt in Judo. I wanted to continue to expand my knowledge of Judo as it applies to Jiu-Jitsu, so I followed Professor Jake to Orangeville. When it comes to the atmosphere at Masters Grappling Academy, Professor Jake is one of the most down to earth, relaxed and family focused coaches I have every met. Myself, being a father of four young kids that I encourage to train, it is very important that Professor Jake is a family man himself. It is important, as the coach's ability to relate to parents and family dynamics is what ensures a long-term cooperation and development. Professor Jake's kids train at the dojo as well and he goes through the same challenges as other families that are part of the BJJ journey. Professor Jake and the rest of the practitioners at Masters Grappling Academy make the Orangeville Master Grappling Academy a family friendly and focused environment. In fact, quite a few members bring their whole families to train. It is also great to see whole families compete. Everyone welcomes beginners with great enthusiasm as that is the future or our dojo and we love to meet new people that are looking to get hooked :). If you are in the area or even a bit further away, I would definitely recommend Masters Grappling Academy as a place to start or continue your life long journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. You won't find a more friendly and supportive group of friends.
