great culture and coaches with bjj, wrestling, No-Gi and judo
NEO is so much more than a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy; it’s a family. From the moment my daughter walked through the doors, she was welcomed with open arms and treated as one of their own. As a parent, there is nothing more special than seeing your child surrounded by people who genuinely care about them, believe in them, and want to see them succeed. The coaches have taught my daughter so much, both on and off the mats. From discipline, respect, confidence, and perseverance to handling the ups and downs of competitions, every experience has helped her grow not only as an athlete but also as a person. The encouragement during training, the support at competitions, and the lessons learned through both wins and losses have been invaluable. What truly sets NEO apart is the incredible sense of community. The coaches, teammates, and families make you feel like you belong, and the support extends far beyond the mats. You can feel the passion, dedication, and genuine care that go into helping every athlete grow. We are beyond grateful for everything NEO has done for my daughter. She has gained so much more than Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills; she has gained confidence, friendships, unforgettable memories, and a family that will always hold a special place in our hearts. If you’re looking for an outstanding Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy that builds not only skilled athletes but also confidence, character, and a true sense of belonging, NEO is something truly special. We couldn’t be more thankful to be part of this amazing family.
My son is loving it. Its a full body workout and the skills are phenomenal.
I can’t stop talking about NEO and there are too many good things to say about it to fit in one review. Coach P and Coach Solana have created something really special here from the wide variety of programming to the friendly and approachable teaching styles to the class schedule that allows for flexibility. I’ve been training six months and initially came for the ladies program, which is a safe and fun place to learn BJJ with Coach Solana. Yet very quickly I was drawn towards all the other classes, and I’ve found myself coming back again and again. Every space in this gym feels safe and welcoming. I always leave feeling like I got top-notch training from coaches who take the time to understand my goals, and I’ve seen lots of growth already. What really makes Neo stand out, though, is the sense of community you will find here. There’s a culture of genuine caring, where people welcome you with kind words and encouragement. This is a place where ego gets left at the door, where the Neo community will meet you where you are on the mats, whether you’re new or experienced, and help you get better. This community delights in training together. Come check it out—you’ll see what I mean! :)
I’ve had an amazing experience training at this gym. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping everyone improve, whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced in jiu-jitsu. The atmosphere is welcoming, respectful, and motivating, which makes it easy to stay consistent and keep learning.
Great atmosphere and an awesome place to train. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely care about helping everyone improve regardless of experience level. The team is welcoming, classes are well structured, and the environment is both competitive and supportive. You can tell there’s a strong focus on good technique, discipline, and building confidence. Highly recommend for anyone looking to start or continue their martial arts journey in Brampton
Coach Patrick is amazing; he is very approachable and has a great sense of humour while teaching. His team of coaches are also top notch. This gym is a must for anyone interested in grappling/mma in the area.
Posted 9 months agoAn absolute gem of a gym. If there’s any doubt of where to train, this is the place. The community and atmosphere are the best I’ve ever experienced in any gym. Many of the members are high-level and decorated competitors yet are so kind and willing to help hobbyists improve in their own training. There are several black belt instructors who each bring their own touch to each class they teach. There are many class options available, several times a day, and for a range of age groups, not to mention different kinds of martial arts to cross-train and help you become well-rounded. I cannot speak highly enough of this gym!
Posted 11 months agoNeo Martial Arts Brampton is hands down one of the best martial arts academies you can find. The quality of instruction, variety of programs, and supportive community set it apart from anywhere else. With the recent renovations and collaborations with Red Dawn Martial Arts, the facility has taken things to the next level—more mat space, upgraded washrooms, and a clean, professional training environment. On top of that, they now offer an even wider range of classes: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (arguably the best BJJ program in the region), Freestyle Judo, MMA, Muay Thai, and strength & conditioning with personal training options. What really makes Neo stand out is the BJJ program—it’s excellent for all ages and all levels. From kids and juveniles to adults, whether you’re a competitor, a first responder looking for practical skills, someone interested in self-defense, or just wanting to learn a new discipline, the program adapts to your goals. The coaches truly know how to build both skill and confidence while keeping classes engaging. I’ve been a member from 2022. It’s been almost three years training at this academy and it’s like my second home Neo Martial Arts is more than just a gym—it’s a community where people of all backgrounds can train, grow, and push themselves. The renovations and expanded classes make it an unbeatable choice for martial arts in Brampton. I highly recommend for anyone to try it out since they offer a week trial to see if it’s a fit for you ! 👊🏾
An incredible place for all ages and all levels! I train here regularly at 42, and both my kids — ages 13 and 10 — are part of the community too. From day one, we’ve all felt completely welcomed, supported, and inspired. The positive energy in this place is something special. The coaches are highly skilled, passionate, and genuinely invested in helping everyone grow — whether you’re just getting started or pushing your limits. The training is top-level, and yet it’s always delivered with encouragement and care. What really stands out is the sense of community. It’s uplifting, respectful, and motivating — a place where people of all ages thrive together. My kids have built confidence, discipline, and friendships, and I’ve never felt stronger or more motivated myself. Huge thanks to the entire team for creating such a positive and empowering environment. We’re proud to be part of it! Shout out to all the coaches but especially Coach P who leads from the front and embodies everything great about this place.
Posted 1 year agoThe team at NEO are nothing short of excellent. The facilities are super clean with lots of mat space. Patrick is a high level active competitor, an excellent teacher and just a great guy to have as your coach. If you’re serious about jiu jitsu and want to compete, this is 100% the team to partner with. Patrick and Solana are dedicated to helping you achieve your specific goals; whether it's competition, weight loss, or overall improvement in your game, they've got you. The vibe is great, tons of awesome people train here which keeps things fun. I’ve also seen the women’s program grow a ton in such a short time which is great! Come check it out, it’s an excellent place to spend your time and build new skills!
I'd like to start off by saying that Coach Patrick & Solana are amazing coaches on the mats from what I’ve observed. However, a recent observation l've noticed following their page for the past few weeks is that the head coach Patrick has been constantly arguing with their competitor online. I hadn't thought much of it first but now it's become a daily occurrence where I see their social media page constantly arguing or being petty towards their competition. I’ve considered taking my children out of Neo because this sort of behavior wasn't what I expected from Neo at all until I started seeing their socials and other parents bringing it up to me as well. We love the community here however it’s not how I want my kids to be towards their opponents because the kids are seeing this as well.
