  My son went to this dojo for a decade. Greatest waste of money in history. They learn very little if anything at all, it’s 2000 dollars a year and you have to beg them to grade your child if they even bother. Self defence is the same crap for over a decade. My advice … save your money. If I invested that money that I spent on karate my kid would have a down payment for their home. Instead I wasted years of his precious life and my money. I took the time to write this so this doesn’t happen to you.

  I recently joined my son at AMA Main St., and I can confidently say it has been an incredible experience for both of us. My son was in need of a sport that catered to his individual needs, and this academy exceeded all expectations! He absolutely loves it and gives it a big thumbs up. The instructors and staff are genuinely kind, warm, and friendly, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. I've witnessed significant growth in my son, as karate has not only enhanced his social skills but also improved his motor skills, coordination, and boosted his self-esteem and confidence. Inspired by my son's progress, I decided to enroll in the Women's Self-Defense class, led by the remarkable Carrie and Kim. Their expertise and supportive teaching style make every session enjoyable. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time at the academy and feel grateful to be part of such a positive community. Overall, I would rate this experience a perfect 10/10!

  Honbu Dojo AMA has been a great start for my kids into the karate world. The small classes have been great for my shy son. The Autism class has been great for my daughter. Highly recommend AMA!

  Amazing class! My son loves attending AMA classes! Always action packed, constantly learning and improving! Focussed on physical and mental abilities! Hands down a fantastic dojo! and awesome atmosphere!
