Top-notch facility with amazing professors. Jeo and Tyler genuinely care about their students and are committed to helping everyone improve. The team culture is very welcoming—training partners were always supportive and especially helpful with beginners. At the same time, there’s a strong competition environment, making it the perfect place if you want to challenge yourself and grow. Price-wise, I’ve trained at several gyms (after moving states a few times), and this one is very affordable compared to others. Highly recommend!

Fantastic jiu jitsu gym, instruction is amazing, mats are clean, and the environment is phenomenal. Stayed for 3 months for a job and they welcomed me right in. My jiu jitsu has seriously improved while being there and I would highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to train or improve their game!

Dropping in from out of state. I own my own gym in Louisiana. These guys treated me like family the moment I walked in. Tough group of students and their Professors are top notch. Very clean facility, dressing rooms clean and plenty of space. I came a little early and was able to watch the end of the kids class. I was impressed by the coaching they received and how well the class was ran. Definitely will drop back by while in town.

Super thankful to be a part of the ONJJ family for the past 3 years. The professors put a lot of time and effort into the athletes and it shows. This is more than a gym- it’s a place for kids and adults to grow stronger both physically and mentally. From private lessons, to after school/summer programs, to competitions, to adult classes, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to train and mentor my family.

We signed up our son for the after-school classes back in September 2024 and he absolutely loves it! The attentiveness the professors take truly shows they care about teaching their students correctly. There have been times where I notice my son is struggling with certain maneuvers in class and I communicate that to Professor Tyler or Jeo, and they are quick to listen and provide the extra support when needed. It's a very open style of communication and we appreciate their approach to holding their students accountable to expectations during class. We would absolutely love it if their afterschool program reached our son's school, but maybe next year!

I started my oldest in One Nation's after school program after extensive research between multiple places around the area. Everytime I came across One Nation I was thrilled with all that I read and after running into an old co worker who has children in their gym and RAVED about it, I gave it a go. My son comes home and shows his little brother everything he learns in class almost everyday. Separation from me has always been an issue for him and this is the first time I do not have a single worry that he isn't being attended to. Each Professor at One Nation is incredibly knowledgeable and will tell you exactly what you need to know without hesitation. Someone is always on deck to answer an email/text/call and if it isn't immediate it is done within a very quick time frame. This is my first born and letting go has been extremely difficult but One Nation has gone above and beyond in making me feel comfortable in leaving my guy in their hands daily. I have noticed an increase in excitement from him to go to class after school everyday and it truly makes me feel so good to see his progress and drive! I can't rave enough about this wonderful place and the guys who run it.

My kids have been going to the Nation for 4 years (oldest) and 2 years (youngest) through their afterschool program. I have really come to appreciate both the level of training the coaches offer, and the discipline and respect that is not only taught but also demanded by the coaches. Kids now days need this type of interaction more than ever. Thank you to all of the staff at the Nation for helping to instill some respect, confidence, discipline, and skill (let's not forget the skills they learn) all while watching my kids when I have to work! I decided on One Nation after trying out a couple Jiu Jitsu places in Nashville. Previously I trained at an Ohio gym so I had a good idea of what I was looking for. Some things I love about the place -Main Instructor Jeo’s attentiveness to his students. My grandson has been going to One Nation Jiu Jitsu since the age of 5. He is now 13. One Nation was not just a place for him to go after school, but rather a place where he made good friends and became a member of the One Nation family. One Nation is more than a school for martial arts. The coaches teach the techniques in Jiu Jitsu, but also teach life skills and how to behave and treat others. They teach courtesy, respect, confidence building, leadership, self-discipline, self-reliance and help the students believe in themselves. I have been to the new facility on South Lowry Road in Smyrna and it is nothing short of top notch…large, clean, bright facility with everything you would expect in a top-notch gym. I cannot say enough good things about One Nation or the wonderful coaches that run it. You all are truly a blessing to this community, and I hope everyone who reads this takes a moment to check out this wonderful facility!

Please parents. This is very important. My son is all boy and full throttle. One Nation Ju Jitsu was the best thing for him. He learned to channel some of his energy and respect his peers. You could see the change at home and at school. We ended up moving to Rockvale. Got him into other programs that haven’t worked. Almost like just a daycare. One Nation Ju Jitsu is completely different. They are huge on respecting their coaches, parents, teachers, and other kids. That’s what you’re getting from this establishment. I’ve already called them to ask to open one in Murfreesboro. Give them a shot. You won’t be disappointed.

Find your Tribe, cause it takes a village. One Nation Jui Jitsu turned out to be the best after school solution for our ASD son ever. Irony: He never took one class, and has been attending for years. We needed an "After School" program to pick up our son, and keep him for a short window of time while my wife and I finish our work days during the week. Finding a place that works with kids with a variety of needs like Autism is daunting to say the least. Trusting anyone with your child is scary, but finding someone that will: Listen, care, learn their personality, and actually want to make a personal connection is PRICELESS. Everyone one at One Nation embodies these principals. As I said, our son never took a single class. We even purchased him a "Gee" or outfit in hopes he would participate in the Jui Jitsu classes after school. Not all of the students at Jui Jitsu Nation do the classes. The family (I do mean family) here are genuine people that establish respectful and caring boundaries. Everything you could ever hope for, and likely do not see at a conventional "Child Care" environment, is standard practice at One Nation Jui Jitsu like: Respect, Accountability, Compasion, and Leadership. You can also learn Jui Jitsu if interested. Bryce is growing up, and no longer needs the after school support, so sadly we will be parting ways. Special thanks to Tyler, Master (Owner) Cliff, "Professor Cheetos" (Bryce called him that...actual its Geo), and the entire One Nation Jiu Jitsu Family for making our son welcomed to be him self. Martial arts are not for everyone, but I highly recommend keeping an open mind. Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, and Judo were foundation built as a youth that still serve me to this day. It is MORE than self defense. It is Self Esteem, and life skills we all need. We joined One Nation a year ago after we moved to the area. My son (9yr old at the time) was hesitant because he loved his old gym. We were going to try out 3 gyms, but after 1 class at One Nation he was hooked. The coaching has been top notch, his Jiu Jitsu progressed rapidly, but more importantly his understanding of the art has increased. He was doing 2-3 days at the old gym, and quickly increased to 5 days a week because he loved his teammates and coaches. Since then, I have joined and started training. I am 36 years old and was worried I would get hurt rolling with the upper belts. Everyone has been very receptive, pushing me to get better during every roll but also rolling accordingly based on my skill level and goals. There will always be bumps and bruises, but the camaraderie with the coaches and other bobble heads is what I needed in a new part of town. The time spent on the mat with my son are going to be memories we both can reflect on as he gets older. Secretly, I started training so he wouldn’t be able to whoop my butt. Best gym out there. Shout out to Jeo, Cliff, Tyler, Madison, and Austin. They might kick your butt, but it’s well worth it. Wouldn’t trade this place for anything.

My only complaint about One Nation Jiu Jitsu is, they make it look so easy! You watch an instructor demonstrate a series of moves and you think, "Oh, I can do that!" But, no, you can't! At least, I can't. Not at first, but slowly you get the hang of it, and the payoff is outstanding. The sport provides a great workout, involving coordination, flexibility, cardiovascular work, and strength. One Nation provides a large, clean, comfortable space. Maybe the best thing about the place is the positive, encouraging energy there. It comes from the instructors and the students. People of all ages and skill levels seem welcome. Let me give an example. I came to the sport late in life. Sometimes, we'll gather in a circle after rolling, to recover, stretch, and chat. One day, in this circle, somebody came right out and asked my age. When I announced it (66 years) there seemed to me to be an uptick in the respect and consideration afforded me. Not that they didn't continue to kick my butt, but they were somehow more considerate about it! I've had to pause my training, due to lingering issues with a shoulder injury. I miss the physicality of the sport and the camaraderie at One Nation. I hope to return, soon.

We have been very pleased with One Nation! Our son started coming here when he started Kindergarten in their after school program. They have nice buses for transportation and will pick up your child safely after school. He has noticeably grown and developed new life skills through the training while making many new friends! Our daughter will be joining him next year when she starts kindergarten. She was apprehensive about it at first. So when we pick up her brother at times we will watch and talk to the girls in the class. They’ve inspired her to want to join and learn these skills too and of course, to keep up with her brother. Everyone that works there, coaches and professors, are great people. Happy to have a safe place our kiddos can to after school until we can pick them after work.

If you’re looking for a gym this is it. If you’re in law enforcement this is an absolute must. If your child needs a confidence boost or you simply want to set them up for future success then don’t hesitate. If you’re looking for a participation trophy and a choreographed dance to give everyone the illusion that you’re not just throwing money away then this is not the place for you. My son started the summer camp and training in June. He is now in the afterschool program and has competed in two competitions. I've never seen the young man look forward to anything more than he looks forward to his training and competitions (except maybe Christmas :) ). He has developed into a very muscular young man and his confidence in himself has been boosted exponentially. His coaches have been incredible. They are disciplined but also show patience and understanding while training very young children to do some quite complex maneuvers. They are also exceptionally respectful to parents and children both. I have needed to ask questions about his training on a weekly basis and they're always receptive and very detailed when describing things to me. When life slows down a bit and I have time in the evening to spare I'm going to sign up and begin training myself. I greatly appreciate the folks at One Nation and feel confident I've made the perfect choice in trusting them with the care and development of my son.

My son (9) has been attending JJN’s after school program for two years now. The level of discipline and skill provided far surpasses any other ASP he’s attended in the past. The staff is extremely professional and Tyler is always communicative when it comes to accommodations for school closures. I’m an active duty military single mom with varying business hours and Professor Cliff, Professor Geo and Coach Tyler are always so understanding of my situation. My son is well cared for and most importantly engaged in a skill that he enjoys and can apply to other areas of his life.

The staff are friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. Their facility is clean, and they offer a firm, but fun environment while teaching the kids self defense. My daughter comes home excited about what she’s learned. Sometimes, she even wants to pin me to the ground and make me tap out! (lol) 5 stars for Jiu Jitsu Nation!

If you’re reading this review you’ve come to the right place buckaroo, This school here is hands down one of the best gyms in the middle Tennessee area! The amount of knowledge that you learn about the art and yourself is never ending! The staff and students do a great job at making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We have been part of this team for almost 4 years and couldn't be happier with our experience. What started out as an after school program quickly became a critical part of my kids development. The team at One Nation is quick to post updates when there are changes to the school schedule, communicate well with what they are able to offer during planned and unplanned no school days, and have always been both flexible and gracious. We are impressed with the discipline and pride our young kids are learning. All of the professors and coaches are very professional, very polite, and very engaging.

It started as an after school program and now has become a huge part of my daughters life!! Before the Nation, my daughter would not stand up for herself, the Nation taught her respect, self discipline, and how to deal with peer pressure. Now my son also attends the Nation and he was a handful for sure, the Nation has helped in every aspect of both my children's behavior and character. We love the environment for the kids they create and I wouldn't have my children anywhere else, they both love it🤍🖤

Upon bringing our son Chandler to One Nation, we had no idea what he would be like. He was born premie and still has some things we are working through. That being said One Nation helped Chan man release the energy he had stored up at all times lol. But they also helped teach him about discipline, integrity and respect for others. We love ONJJ and what they have help do with Chandler. We would recommend them for anyone interested .

My son was kicked off the boys n girls club bus for not staying in his seat...in kindergarten 😡...I reached out to Tyler at jjnation to see if there was an opening at the club..he said we'll make sure there is. That was 4 years ago..need I say more?👍👍🤘

We have had our son in JuJitsu Nation for around 2 years now. We found JuJitsu Nation when we were looking for an afterschool program due to some issues at his then current after school program. I went out on a limb because a few years before we tried taekwondo without success. He just wasn't into it and it was a struggle to even complete the free week. However, once he started at JuJitsu Nation he blossomed. I can't say enough kind things about this organization. They have absolutely amazing coachesand professors who you can tell adore the kids. They play and have fun with the kids all while teaching them the art and teaching them to be respectful and responsible for themselves and their actions. Anytime I've had questions about the program or how he was doing both on and off the mat they've always taken the time to fully answer questions. Even responding to messages after hours. If your looking for a community atmosphere that will nourish and grow your child's development on and off the mat you must give them a try!!

I’ve always had an interest to start martial arts and the first one happened to be Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. When I started it was a very welcoming environment and I’m always eager to learn new techniques and always looking forward to the next class. I’d like to personally thank Reese and Professor Jeovany for coaching me and making me feel like I’m part of the Jiu Jitsu nation team. This place has been the best thing that has happened in 2020 and best thing to have started my new year in 2021. I’d recommend training here 100%!

If you are considering One Nation for your child sign them up immediately! My daughter joined their afterschool program and it has been life changing. When we started she was very shy and not confident in her strength. After the first week I noticed such a change in her. She now walks with so much confidence and has a real interest in staying active. Respect is a huge part of the culture and my daughter has also become so much more helpful at home and she rarely complains when I ask her to go something now. When we had a very tragic family event they where there for my daughter and gave her encouragement and all the love! They even made space for her in a full camp to keep her busy. I don't think she would have grieved as well without their support. On top of just being amazing human beings the facility is also very clean and covid conscious. The afterschool program is worth every penny and more. You won't regret it!

I can not speak more highly of Jiu Jitsu Nation, its services and the staff who make it all happen. My son began attending their after school program last year in the first grade. He was extremely shy, lacked confidence, and had tremendous difficulty adapting to new situations, new people, or changes to his schedule. Long story short, Jiu Jitsu changed our lives. My son flourished in the gym, and in turn began flourishing in all other aspects of his life. His confidence soared, his ability to adapt to new situations and people was like a whole new kid. The life lessons he has learned and continues to learn from this sport and the staff at JJN are too many to count and priceless. He attends their summer camps each year and LOVES them, wants to go even when he doesn't have to. The after school care programs/day cares he has attending in the past were just a place he went out of needing to be watched for a few hours. Here, he is gaining character traits, life skills, and physical abilities he never would have had otherwise. My husband also joined a few months later, and has lost 50 pounds, and he and my son have a stronger bond. The staff at JJN, every single one, is fantastic and a gift to all its members and the community as a whole. Their dedication to people, the sport, the kids is nothing short of phenomenal. My husband and son's experience here is truly something we are grateful for every day. The only regret is not joining sooner.

Jiu Jitsu Nation is a family friendly atmosphere. My experience here has been great. I can’t make it as often as I would like but they always make you feel welcome every time you arrive. The coaches and professors are very knowledgeable and do a great job relaying the techniques. I highly recommend.

I always passed by Jiu Jitsu places thinking to myself, "I'd love to do this." I have always been drawn to Jiu Jitsu Nation, and even though I had not been, this place always stuck out. Why? I am not even sure, just did. I live in Murfreesboro, TN and passed this place regularly going to Motlow at the time. My son had always been picked on at school. Coming home with black eyes and nothing I could do. He was scared and afraid. I came home from class one day and my son told us once again he had been beaten up. That was it, I had enough. I left without saying anything and drove straight to Jiu Jitsu Nation. I signed him up but with my military discount it was cheaper for both of us to join then for just him. At this time im 5'9" and 235 lbs (way overweight) and I smoked a pack of cigs a day. My health was very poor. So my son and I started, and we where both freaking scared. Let me tell you the warm welcoming and the friendliness of not only the professors and coaches, but everyone that attended including the owner was amazing. In just a short time i felt part of the family. After about a month my son came home and told me he had been sent to in school suspension. I asked what for and he said that kid was picking on me and i pulled him and took his back and used a rear naked choke until the teacher came. I smiled and said "boy get your shoes we going out for ice cream.) that boy dont get picked on any more and has even defended another boy from bullies. Needless to say, Jiu Jitsu Nation is amazing at ALL ages. On another note. I stated I started out at 235. One year in and I am 175 and in one of the best shapes of my life. I didnt change much of my diet except cutting back a little bit on sweets and soda. I stopped smoking. I just came to class and kept coming. Some days it was tough, but my team was ALWAYS there. NEVER ALONE!!!!!!!!! Here is a before and after if you need proof!!!!!!!!!! Jiu Jitsu Nation CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever since I joined this school and have felt welcomed. I had little to no experience when I started, two and a half years ago. Coaches are quick to help and answer any questions. Even if you have no experience you will get helped and feel welcome. The schedule also is a great advantage. They have several afternoon classes and morning classes. My 7 year old daughter is also in this school and she loves going to class. Definitely a place where they can learn discipline and also how to defend themselves.

We signed our son up for summer camp at Jiu Jitsu Nation. Our plan was to send him back to the after school program at his school after the summer was over. However, we found out very quickly that Jiu Jitsu Nation was much more than an after school program or summer camp. Everyone of their Coaches and Professors cares for the kids and really invests in making the kids better people. My son went from being shy and timid kid to a kid with tons of confidence. I saw so much change in him that I joined myself and have found a love for a sport that I knew nothing about 5 months ago. The feeling of family and friendship is so powerful. My only regret is we didn't join the Jiu Jitsu Nation family sooner.

My 6 year old has been going to the after school program since he started kindergarten. He has told me that he loves it...learning new things and making new friends. I love the discipline piece and the fact that he may use jiu jitsu one day to save someone else or save himself. I want him to know how to defend himself if the situation arises. He has grown a lot from attending Jiu Jitsu Nation these past two years and I would recommend it to any family thinking about the possibility of joining. The instructors and coaches are always very professional and committed to improving themselves and the children they teach. I plan to get my 4 year old involved next fall.

I signed up myself and my two children with Jiu Jitsu Nation just over 5 months ago and I can't even begin to explain how great this place is! The coaches are all amazing teachers and each and every member help to guide you along as well! I've been able to get back into my old high school shape at 36 years old and my children are excelling at every level as well, both physically and mentally! We've even been able to bring home a few competition gold medals, with more to come! This place truly feels like a second family for us!

I started here at Jiu-Jitsu nation just three short years ago. Instantly falling in love with this place and the environment that was upheld here. However, when I first started I was a bit shy, that soon changed because of the people at this place, along with many other things involving my personality, responsibilities, and character in general. I personally think this is one of the best schools that you will be able to train at with some great instructors as well.

I had shop around for a gym for a couple months. When I came into jiujitsu nation I immediately felt welcomed. My first class being fairly new was amazing. The instructor and my class mates took the time to show me the warm up drill. After that class I signed up for a membership. It’s like a family here. When you miss a class everyone makes sure your okay. Not only do I feel like I’m learning a valuable skill but I’m making friends!

A fantastic facility staffed by absolutely top notch instructors who keep themselves and the curriculum they teach from dialed in to the bleeding edge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. All too often instructors fall behind the times. Not here. Jiu Jitsu Nation has managed to create the perfect training environment. An academy with no clicks, no politics and instructors who make you feel welcome and care about not only your progress, but also about building a personal relationship with its clientele. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Since starting at Jiu-Jitsu Nation almost 1 year ago I have become part of an amazing family/community, seen my body composition drastically change, gained a place to check out of my stresses for a few hours a week, and found a group of people who I would be perfectly comfortable caring for my child. JJN is a clean, safe, welcoming, judgement free facility where egos are left at the door. Regardless of what you are looking for you can find it here.

I would whole heartedly recommend this school for anyone. I signed my son 13 and myself 40 about 3 moths ago. Our experience so far at this point has been that it’s a positive uplifting environment. Everyone from the staff to the student body wants you to succeed. The classes are very addictive and has that one big family kinda feel going on as corny as that sounds. If you come to class you can expect a few things. 1- You’re going to sweat (a lot) 2- You’re receiving top notch training 3- You’re going to build skills. 4- You’re going to have fun As an endorsement for self defense. I’m in law enforcement and there is no better discipline then BJJ to protect yourself. If your looking for a school for your child let me make an endorsement as a parent that this was a home run decision.

I can't say enough about jiujitsu nation!!! All the coaches are amazing and they go above and beyond for these kids! My son loves it so much he actually wakes up most days at 6am talking about he is ready to go.. He tells me every night "I wanna get to the nation early in the morning" my son isn't a morning person at all! They all are a blessing and we glad to have found this place!! If you are looking for an after school or summer program, I recommend the team at Jiu Jitsu Nation located on Old Nashville Highway. These kids are not afraid of contact and develop motor skills, instincts and discipline that will reside for a lifetime. I wished all my kids could have experienced a similar program. The coaches are great with the kids and deserve the utmost respect. If we were not moving to Washington my son would stay here and it would have been exciting to see him advance with the rest of his friends that he has made here. You guys will be missed!!!

My children LOVE Jiu Jitsu Nation. They attend the after school program and as well as the summer camp. In the morning they both wake up energized and excited to go. On the weekends they eagerly await for Monday. The staff is amazing, professional, and caring. The "Nation" is a community all on its own that has helped my family that is from out of state feel welcomed, included, and proud to be a part of it. I recommend Jiu Jitsu nation for anyone that wants to get active or get your children involved in a place that promotes leadership skills, self discipline and fun!
