  This is such an amazing dojo. The quality training is just one huge plus of coming here, the other plus are the vibes! I've met so many great training partners and friends. It always feels great walking into class. The instructors are friendly, attentive and like farmers insurance they know a thing or two!

  Beautiful gym with excellent coaches. There are so many options for training in San Diego, and finding a place with quality instruction can be tough. After my first class with coach Andres I felt relieved knowing that I had finally found a gym where could settle down. All of the coaches teach quality, modern technique with meticulous attention to detail. Most importantly, the owners foster an unrivaled sense of community. All are welcome here. I’m lucky to call this gym home and highly recommend it to anybody looking for a place to train.

  My experience at OB Jiu Jitsu Collective has been awesome. The instructors are incredibly dedicated and highly technical. They challenge you in all the right ways while providing the kind of support that helps everyone level up together. The community here is diverse, welcoming, and filled with people at all experience levels who are genuinely invested in helping each other grow. Everyone trains hard, and there’s an unmistakably positive energy throughout the gym. Also the facility itself is outstanding—a brand new dojo with great creative energy that makes you want to show up and train.

  The team at The Collective have really perfected giving high level instruction in a way that is comprehensible regardless of how much experience you have in jiu jitsu. I stopped by for an open mat 4 months ago and have not looked back since. The gym is beautiful and clean. They provide a large and clean mat space. I have gone for morning classes, evening classes, and weekend classes; the good vibes from the instructors and members are unmatched. Andrès, the head instructor/co-owner, is well-rounded and super knowledgable in jiu jitsu. If you are weary about finding an instructor that matches your style of learning, The Collective is the way to go. The instructors here are so wonderful and each offer their own unique pieces of technique to share, as well as different instructional styles. They also regularly have high level/world class guest instructors at no extra cost to members, which is a HUGE perk. The Collective also now offers Muay Thai classes. To top it all off? They are right by the beach 😎☀️ I would tell you to come sign up, but instead I will tell you to come try a class. I am so certain you will want to sign up! 🤙🏽 Alina at the front desk is amazing and always so informative and helpful.

  OB Jiu Jitsu has been an incredible environment to train. The staff is friendly and welcoming to all experience levels. Not only is the instructors and instruction world class, but you train in a large/clean space. I highly recommend joining this Jiu jitsu gym.
