One of the funnest and most technical BJJ school I have ever visited. Instructors are so good, the students are all very welcoming. I dropped in during my stay in town and I’ve learned more in two days than I could have imagined. Absolutely recommend you give it a try, you will not regret it. Thank you coach Andrew!

I visited Edmonton recently and had the chance to stop by Method BJJ. I've trained at a number of gyms when travelling and this is everything you want. Great atmosphere and good vibes alongside high quality grappling training and instruction. I would recommend this gym for anyone at any level of grappling experience.

I trained at Method for almost 2.5 years before moving out of the province. The quality of teaching and level of detail is higher than any other gym I've been to. I trained in the women and adult classes and both were challenging but super fun and supportive. The vibe at this school is amazing- friendly, safe, but competitive and dedicated to improving everyone's BJJ. This is definitely the place to start or continue your martial arts journey!

I've been training at Method BJJ for nine months or so. I like the people, they're nice. I also like how Andrew (owner) explains stuff. Other places I've trained will teach new techniques every class and I retained very little of it. Andrew will teach a couple positions and a couple of techniques from each position (either attacking or defending) and we practice those for a month. By the end of the month we're doing the techniques with our partners resisting at near-sparring levels. Also, in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, it seems most of the emphasis is on the "ground game", basically rolling around on the ground. How you get to the ground is often glossed over. At Method BJJ one of the positions/set of techniques (in the month) is usually a standing technique. Andrew incorporates wrestling and judo (both of which I also enjoy) takedowns and throws. Seriously, it is super fun to throw someone, very satisfying. I especially like it when I can throw someone and remain in control of my balance enough to make my partner/opponent's landing gentle. It's hard to do. It can be fun to BE thrown too, especially if you weren't expecting it. It's like: "WHEEEE! THUD". The THUD isn't AS fun, but it's not bad, that's why you train on mats. All the sparring we do starts standing. I remember at previous gyms standing was once in a blue moon, we typically started on our knees. I feel spoiled.

Andrew at Method BJJ is an amazing and positive instructor. Highly recommend for someone looking into getting into Jiu Jitsu, or someone with experience looking for a new gym. They have it all. Very encouraging and helpful instruction and such welcoming atmosphere. :)
