We love it! It’s been our 2nd year with the school and our daughter absolutely loves it! Out of many activities this is the one class that she would be very sad to miss and mad at me if I mix up days and pick her up at a wrong time so she can’t make it to the class! Teachers are extremely knowledgeable and kind! Alicia had some nerves when leveled up and I brought up my concerns to teachers- Jeff, Cole and George did amazing work on supporting her without her even realizing the team effort from everyone👏🏻❤️ I also particularly enjoy bully-proof program and circle time portion of it, when kids are given opportunity to share their thoughts. So they are not only learning self-defense team quest but being taught the mental aspect of self-defense! I am happy we brought Alicia to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and always recommend it to other families with kids!
Posted 2 years agoMy son has been attending for the past five years. The program highlights for us are: 1. The teachers emphasizes at a very young age as to when Jiu Jitsu should be used, and that it is only a last resort tool 2. The program was structured to make the moves second nature 3. The school itself makes it a point to keep the student engaged and motivated I highly recommend the program, and the school!
Posted 2 years agoWe have been sending our daughters to the Edmonton Gracie Jiu Jitsu school for the past few years, and it has been such a great experience. I worked up the courage to join as well in the past couple of years by starting with Women Empowered, and then moving to the Combatives course once I felt more comfortable. George and Jeff really make everyone feel welcome and foster such a positive learning environment. The skills and techniques the kids and adults learn are top notch and the instructors are all fantastic. The Jiu Jitsu moves are taught in a way that breaks them down section by section, so they are easy to remember and there is zero tolerance for aggressive behaviour. The instructors are great at keeping the kids’ attention throughout the full lesson. I would highly recommend Edmonton Gracie Jiu Jitsu to anyone interested in trying a martial art, or looking for a new activity for their kids.

A family environment is promoted by all, which makes for a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Great instructors who put forth tremendous effort to ensure the students learn and develop. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Jiu Jitsu.
Posted 2 years agoA huge thank you to the Edmonton Gracie Jiu-Jitsu team. My daughters have been attending lessons here for 5 years now and have learned so much. From a self-defence perspective, the school is absolutely top notch. Practical lessons are taught, various aspects of fitness are encouraged and rolled out, and I'm secure knowing that my daughters know how to protect themselves and friends from bullies and dangers. The school is clean and well lit. The instructors are knowledgeable, passionate, and friendly. The programs for younger children also incorporates important life lessons that are cycled through every 2 months, which has helped my daughters as they grow into well rounded people. My wife has been taking lessons for over a year now and also really enjoys the program and lessons learned. I have nothing but gratitude and great things to say about this school. Thanks again to everyone at the school!
