The instructors were really friendly and approachable, and the people training there were genuinely nice — easy to talk to and welcoming. The level was solid, with plenty of good rolls and technical details. I was only able to spend one day there but I had a really good time, I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in Singapore again. Thank you a lot!!

Amazing BJJ gym. New, spotlessly clean, great facilities. And best of all, teaching is amazing. Coaches Robyn and Steve are passionate, patient, methodical and highly skilled. Techniques are taught in great detail but in a way that becomes easily understandable and applicable.

The coaches are amazing with the kids , patient, encouraging, and skilled at teaching both discipline and fun. Our child has grown so much in confidence, strength, and focus since starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu here.
It’s a safe, supportive environment where kids learn not just self-defense, but also respect and teamwork. Highly recommend for any parent looking to build character and confidence in their child!

Worth the move! We followed the coaches & professor from their former BJJ academy to MatLife as they bought out the best in my girl. They’re not only skilled coaches but they truly care about each students growth and my daughter has benefited on and off the mats. Highly recommend for kids jiu jitsu, best in Singapore.

Visiting from out of town, the Matlife guys were amazingly hospitable, really knowledgeable, safe challenging rolls, and imo represented the spirit of BJJ.
I’m a judo black belt and BJJ purple. Been all around the world training at different gyms. If you’re in town or a local, I highly suggest training here!!
