My family and I love Martial ZEN. They are family-oriented. They focus on not just kung-fu but also education and important leadership skills. My boys are now bursting with confidence to stand up for themselves and participate in their classes at school. We have seen such growth and positive change in our everyday lives.

Our family of four loves Martial Zen! Our initial goal was for our oldest kiddo (6 years old) to jump in and learn but our entire family decided to take the leap and join the martial zen family! We look forward to going to class each week alongside people of all age ranges and skill levels. It’s inspiring to watch my 6 year old practice her kicks and punches with a black belt. I think it’s a unique experience that I am not sure you can find anywhere else in Tulsa. Truly, one of the best investments for our family!

Best teachers in town! As a teaching duo, Mr. Wofford and Ms. Reyes are welcoming and genuinely invested in their students. I feel safe physically and emotionally within the community of students, both on and off the mat. I am thankful for the supportive environment they create and thankful I get to be a part of it! I went into Martial Zen with a set of goals and Mr. Wofford and Ms. Reyes are helping me discover my potential beyond what I thought I was physically possible.

Hello Everyone, recently I experienced Bradycardia. It didn’t take long to realize what was happening . There isn’t a recommendation for what to do when you’re in Bradycardia (at home alone). Fortunately for me, because I am a student of Tai Chi, it crossed my mind to do a practice called, “Shaking of the 9 Gates, so I did. I did this three times to the count of 60. I immediately recognized after the first count that this could possibly bring me some relief. By the end of the third count, I was completely out of Bradycardia. Thank you Ms. Reyes and Mr. Wofford at Martial Zen for teaching me this practice I do believe that the Shaking of the 9 Gates may have saved my life. 😊

Loving our experience at MartialZen. I have fought structural issues in my core resulting in neck and back pain most of my life. My hip natural pulls in and to the left. After only a few months of training I have noticed a significant improvement in my overall structural health. I don’t need the chiropractor as much and feel straight and strong as I leave each class. The strengthening has helped my overall lifestyle. It has been a lot of fun watching the character development in my children and experiencing better health as a family. Highly recommend!

Mr. Wofford & Ms. Reyes are the best. They walk you through a whole mind-and-body practice and meet you where you are. It’s not about rote memorization; it’s about being a better YOU. But that’s enough that it still fixed my constant back pain! 10/10 highly recommend.

We have been attending Martial Zen Tulsa for a year and a half and have noticeably grown in areas of core strength, balance, flexibility, and mindful focus. We started our Tai Chi journey with the goal of establishing a restorative practice and learning a new art. At MZT, we have found exactly what we were looking for—a true zen practice with teachers who instruct with compassion, skill, and meditative intention. We often feel “in flow” during our training sessions and we look forward to every class with anticipation. Thank you Martial Zen!

My wife and I started at Martial Zen to learn about the healing energy of Qi Gong and Tai Chi. We quickly learned that this is a SAFE place for your family to open up and learn together. Now my whole family is learning Kung Fu and it is amazing. Tulsa is very fortunate to have this school with these teachers. Thank You 🙏

I just wrote a review on their official Facebook page but I figured I'd chime in here about this amazing place This was the first place that welcomed me in the world of Eastern Martial Arts Sensei Kevin is the one who took me under his wing with great care His precision allowed me to further grow in mind Body And more He is the teacher who will take you to the other side He will provide you with all the tools and knowledge It will boil down to you as a student in how far you wish to conquer and reach newer heights Make it real today and step into the better version of yourself He's already mocking you and made the decision to take that first step Do not have the fear of missing out because there are far and in between hidden gems that you won't find You will find the hidden gem here 💎 Such is the way

My family and I have been attending Martial Zen for almost five years now, and have never looked back. Their Kung Fu / Tai Chi / Fitness programs are outstanding, led by truly exceptional teachers! This is the kind of program I wish I had back when I was in high school. If you choose to attend, you will improve your fitness levels, balance, and endurance - as a baseline - plus you will increase your knowledge of anatomy, Chinese martial arts traditions and philosophy, and of course self-defense. The instructors do a great job demonstrating the practical applications of every move you learn. All of this, in an environment of happy, friendly, supportive people of all ages and from all walks of life. The classes are challenging but also fun, and the instructors always treat everyone with respect, paying very close attention to each and every participant's individual fitness journey. They offer special classes for more advanced levels, as well as extra seminars focusing on particular sets of techniques. You might read this and think I'm exaggerating, but seriously the program is THAT good. Very much worth the investment!

I love practicing martial arts here! The instructors are very understanding and also clearly know what they're talking about. I'm motivated to go because it's a great community. I can tell I've gotten better in the time since I've started.

I began Tai Chi in April 2022, never having taken martial arts of any kind. I was so nervous! The instructors at Martial Zen have made me feel very comfortable and provide a judgment free zone to move and learn. Although my main goal is to move more, what I love is how we also learn things to carry into every day life. I work a high stress job with long hours and I look forward to my classes every week where I leave all that behind and focus on nothing but myself. I find I have more energy and Want to practice at home. Honestly I can't say enough good things about Martial Zen and instructors Mr. Wofford and Ms. Reyes. I wish I'd known about this sooner in life! Highly recommend!

If you are interested in studying Tai Chi or Kung Fu, Martial Zen Tulsa is the place to be. This academy is the real deal! The instructors are excellent, knowledgeable teachers, and they make the process fun!! Their instructions are not limited to forms or moves, but rather encompass all aspects of a healthy life, from eating right to mental health. I have been studying Tai Chi for over 3 years, and I feel very lucky to have found Martial Zen Tulsa! P.S. Tai Chi is not a slow-moving exercise class as some would believe. It's a martial arts defense class.

I have no shortage of great things to say about Martial Zen Tulsa. Mr. Wofford and Ms. Reyes have created a space that is both nurturing and energizing. They are supportive and have helped me empower myself to overcome many setbacks from chronic health issues, and develop/cultivate the tools to take control of my body. Martial Zen is a great academy where there is no ego, no “failure” other than the failure to give your best effort.

I have been training here for nearly 2 years. The instructors are top notch, very knowledgeable and humble. I love this place! I started my journey about 1.5 years ago hesitant to go at first because I didn't really know much about Martial Arts and was a little intimidated but I am so glad that I took that first step and went. I started with their Tai Chi program and then moved into their Kung Fu and Kickboxing class. Not only am I getting a physical workout but I also get a mental one. I learn something new every time I go; from the way our bodies work to different ways to deal with the stress of the world and etc. The instructors are amazing and very supportive. I love how they explain and show why we are learning what we do; we aren't just in there moving without a purpose. They also have something for everyone of all ages. I would highly recommend Martial Zen to anyone who is looking to better themselves in a positive way.
