This was a great find for my 12 year old that was into star wars light sabre battles in the living room. So he tried the free trial weapons training and was hooked. Straight into doing the regular martial arts too 3 times a week. Everyone’s welcoming and friendly. Very proud watching him.
I Never thought this would be my sort of thing but having watched my son take part for several months I decided that maybe I should give it a go. I am pleased I have, the teaching is great, done with a good degree of humour and takes each individuals abilities into account according to levels of fitness, flexibility and age. There is a great sense of community and respect for all. I would thoroughly recommend giving this a try.
I've practiced various martial arts over the past 25 years. After 6 years of training with Brenden and his team I can say there are few martial arts with greater scope, nor from my point of view a better learning experience. This is an ever evolving style which, while rooted in historical Korean ideology, has embraced and included all forms of modern combat to make it a rounded and potentially useable re-world style not just a great or fancy homage to the past.
I go here every week and it is always great. The instructors explain this martial arts form in a fun and interesting way. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to get into martial arts.
Truly great teachers - all kind, friendly and approachable, in a welcoming and supportive environment which very much focuses on learning at your own pace. While my son has only been a member for a couple of months he had grown enormously in confidence in that time, and it has been wonderful to see him develop new skills - all thanks to being a part of this truly great club.
I've been attending for a few months now. I can say with confidence that this is a very effective system of fighting. Also it's lots of fun. It incorporates striking, kicking, techniques, grapling, wrestling, throws conditioning and form. The master seems to have a great understanding of your particular level and will challenge you accordingly. Most of all, the school is very friendly and welcoming. If you live in the local area, you are very lucky to have a school that teaches han guk mu sool and I highly recommend you utilise it. :)
My son really enjoys martial arts. In the short period since he has joined the classes he developed a passion for healthy eating, buddy building and he's more disciplined. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. It feels like a big family.

I have been a member of this martial arts club for over a year now and since joining I’ve gained invaluable skills and knowledge. All of the instructors and members are all so welcoming and great fun to be around. It has also made a great impact on my physical/mental health allowing me to feel and preform better than ever. I highly recommend coming along and giving it a go.

My 5 year old daughter started Kuk Sool Won about 7 months ago and will be testing for her Yellow belt in a few weeks. She absolutely loves Brendon and all the highly trained instructors. The lessons are tailored to be fun too so, my daughter learns without even realising she's training 😂. All classes and instructors are extremely professional. I highly recommend Martial Arts Hastings to people of all ages 😊

My son has been a member for just over 2,5 years and I've joined him 10 months ago. Very active and friendly environment. The family classes are very well designed for both kids and adults. Would definitely recommend this club.

My 7 year old son has been attending this martial arts class since the age of 4 and he loves it! The new family sessions are great allowing me to join in with my son. The instructors are friendly and make the sessions good fun whilst also teaching the children and adults new skills. i highly recommend these classes!
