During vacation Professor Leonardo was extremely welcoming towards me as a drop-in. I attended the noon time class and was amazed at the level of experience within the room. There were 3 black belts, 2 brown belts, 4 purple belts and 3 blue belts on a Thursday. The students were awesome!!! They trained hard, but were safe which is very important as a 56 year old purple belt. I always judge a location by the number of upper belts and females that train there. You can not go wrong with training at LSBJJ Academy. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Thank you Professor Leonardo
The first time I trained at LSBJJ I knew this is where I needed to be. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and felt like family. Leo and Ana are amazing people with the biggest hearts. My kids and I are so proud to train in such an awesome place and I can’t wait to see what the future brings not only for us in the sport but for Leo and LSBJJ.
LSBJJ is an incredible gym that fosters an amazing community of competitive yet passionate and talented people. You are not immediately thrown into the fire, but you are also not coddled. No matter where you come from and who you are, everyone is treated equally on the mat. This is a gym where growth is encouraged, and the art of the sport is treated with respect and dignity. I can’t recommend this place enough to jiu jitsu practitioners and competitors of all levels.
Two months ago I started Jiu-Jitsu for the first time here, at this gym. I have never done any sort of martial arts before coming here. I distinctly remember the first time I walked in. I was really nervous, but I was welcomed with open arms, and before I knew it I had a new family. I really feel that going here was definitely one of the best decisions I made in my life. I could not have chosen a better gym. Leo is teaching me from the ground up, and is doing a phenomenal job at it. I could not have asked for a better teacher. They're all very kind and nice people, and everyone there really just wants to learn. Everyone's been extremely patient and really I'm just so happy to be able to roll with everyone and be part of the jungle family! And I look forward to learning more as time goes on!

Professor Léo (Cascão) is the best!!! He is super patience to teach and he makes sure you understand the moves. He does what he loves and he puts so much passion on it which is awesome. Plus the gym as a such family environment and people are so friendly. I take my 10m/o daughter with me and my husband while we’re training, everybody helps out with her. We’re super happy to be part of the jungle family team. 👊🏻🥋

Coach Leo is an active and accomplished competitor himself, who uses his decade of experience on the podium at all major tournaments to implement modern training techniques that are competition-tested against the best athletes in the sport. He rolls with all of us, from the newest students to the most experienced. Everyone is treated as an equal, with technical instruction and safety of the students as the highest priority. The environment is friendly, clean, and fun. You won't find training like this anywhere else.
We are extremely lucky to have LSBJJ in Brevard county. I have been training jiu~jitsu for a little over 9 years and have traveled to lots of gyms through out the US over that time. LSBJJ is amazing academy that is run by a husband and wife team ( Leo a multi time world champion and his wife Ana a nutritionist ) that gives the gym an amazing dynamic that you don’t get from a lot of the other gyms. The level of instruction and detail is second to none. The gym provides a clean safe and friendly environment for anyone at any level to train at. I can’t say enough good things about this place you owe to yourself to come check it out.

I have trained at many different gyms throughout my time practicing Jiu-Jitsu, this gym is the best I have found. Not only is the quality of instruction & curriculum excellent, the environment & people are also amazing. I feel comfortable and mesh with everyone at this gym, my son (12) feels the same way. Professor Leonardo is a talented instructor and is an exceptionally skilled competitor. He regularly rolls with everyone at the gym, and I always end up learning important details during class and during our rolls. Clean mats, awesome instruction, & great people.
