I can't say enough about how good this gym is. First, the atmosphere is friendly, fun and welcoming so it's perfect for beginners and hobbyists, and if you're looking for competitive training then look no further. Honestly, teaching BJJ is not easy but the coaches here have such an excellent approach. Can't recommend it enough.

I have trained at quite a few different BJJ clubs in the last 5 years. Libertas is without a doubt the most welcoming and enjoyable. The coaches have a wealth of knowledge to share and do so in a way that keeps training varied and fun. There’s competitors here so you can train hard, people who just want to keep fit and long term hobbyists like myself. It’s where I’ve chosen to settle and would highly recommend!

For someone in their 40’s and completely new to the sport, my time here with Libertas has been extremely positive, fun and rewarding. The school has fantastic coaches who are able to get the best out of each individuals preferred way to learn, whilst maintaining a fun but professional environment. A very welcoming and supportive team to be part of, with the most amazing team mates to learn alongside of.

I had seen advertisements for Libertas when attending my local gym and was interested to know more but had put it off due to confidence. After a couple of difficult periods in my personal life I thought I’d give BJJ a try and it’s changed me for the better. I’ve got so much more confidence in myself, physically and mentally stronger, and have made some great friends through the club. The Libertas team is like a family and we all turn up wanting to better ourselves as well as help others with their training! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Thank you also to Professor Steve for your support and guidance :) If anyone is unsure about joining I’d say take the plunge because it might be the best decision you ever make!
