Let me tell you about a place where the mats hummed with technique and camaraderie. As a self proclaimed roll junkie, I was in Denver and set out to drop into a no-gi and gi class. The instruction and the rolls were excellent. Lōgōs Jiu Jitsu is one of those places that captures what Jiu Jitsu is all about. 🤙
Posted 1 year agoToday I visited Logos BJJ for an open mat. Visiting from Canada, I did not know what to expect, however, the team welcomed me with open arms. The facility was great and the rolls were even better. I highly recommended Logos BJJ to anyone within the Denver area, or those visiting from abroad.
Joined for a beginners class and absolutely loved it! The space is super clean and well laid out, and the instructors were extremely helpful with guiding us through every move. Loved the challenge and will 100% be back!
Great Jiu Jitsu gym. Would highly recommend.
Very high level instruction. Amazing competition team. Beautiful & clean facility. Friendly & welcoming environment.
Took my first ever jiu jitsu class here a couple weeks back! Walked in feeling pretty intimidated but everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Ended up staying for all the classes that evening and left feeling really empowered! Stoked to go back
Best gym in Denver! Liera is a world class competitor and instructor. Everyone at the gym is welcoming and friendly!
The facility was gorgeous, very friendly people and the instruction from Professor Beth was very sophisticated - her teaching style really built understanding. Grateful to have been able to drop in while visiting Denver.
I visited Logos about 9 months ago so this review is coming pretty late. I can’t say enough nice things about the gym and environment. I’m a competitor myself so it was amazing from a competition perspective however I can see this environment being a great one for all skill levels. Michael is one of the best in the game. If I lived in Denver this is without a doubt where I’d train in the city. Looking forward to visiting again!
Clean, Professional facility, with word class instruction Excellent for serious enthusiasts and Pros, or hobbyists
Had my first experience with BJJ here. Everyone was welcoming and supportive. You can tell the staff are passionate about their jobs. The facility is clean and professional. Great place to attend!
Extremely hospitable and talented team. Very welcoming upon arrival and world class instruction. Looking forward to more training.
Great class! I’ve never done BJJ so had no real base knowledge but everyone was super accommodating and helpful. Recommend!
First time going to a BJJ class, lots of fun, good exercise and learned a lot, excellent teachers and friendly peers giving lots of advice when I had questions or didn’t exactly know what I was going for.
Good rolls and good vibes! Very welcoming ! For people who want some good juijitsu go check out logos
Hands down the best BJJ gym in Colorado and potentially in the US and I’ve trained all over the country. Come by and train
I wouldn't train anywhere else in Denver. Great gym culture, very clean, very consistent. Obviously we have world class instruction and it's the base that it's all built on. I feel lucky to have stumbled on this place!
I visited Logos while on a trip to Denver and dropped in for the Sunday morning no gi class. I can’t recommend visiting Logos highly enough. Great class, great people and amazing environment. I really mean it. Michael needs no introduction as an athlete. Personally, best person I have ever rolled with (and thanks again for the roll!). On top of that, he is a great teacher and a nice, genuine and polite person. Amazing experience! I am considering going back to Denver just to visit Logos again! 😁
I loved my class at this gym! I took a free class and it met my expectations and beyond! The instructor was super encouraging and explained techniques very well! I highly recommend!!
Signed up for the beginning free trial, definitely a well run business and an awesome studio. Won't be regretful if you actually commit to coming to the studio and taking a class
I Dropped in on Normans Nogi bjj fundamentals class and had a blast. The entire gym was friendly and welcoming. This was my first experience bjj and I’m looking forward to taking some more classes!
Visiting town and dropped into class at Logos. Great jiu jitsu, tons of knowledge, and good people. I always look forward to coming to Denver to drop in at Logos. I would 100% join if I lived anywhere near. Look forward to the next time.
This is a terrific gym! I was in town for a few days in early August and did two drop-ins. The facility is great, the community is welcoming and friendly, and the level of instruction is amazing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Very friendly and very welcoming. Had a great first day and plan to stay here for a year. Place rocks.
We dropped in for a Sunday morning nogi class and Logos does not disappoint. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. So glad we stopped by while on vacation. Thanks for the great hospitality!
Visited there as a drop in from Germany. Very welcoming and friendly place and people. I will definitely be there next time when I am in Denver! Thank you Logos BJJ!
Training here was awesome! The atmosphere is great and the students were welcoming. The technique taught by professor Liera was very practical, relevant, and useful. The gym is also beautiful and well kept and clean. Would highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by and train!
Dropped in coming from California, was immediately greeted and welcome as soon as I walked in. Very nice and clean environment. Got in some good technique and rolls. Really enjoyed the training and vibes. Looking forward to coming back next time I’m around.
Great facility, great people. It's definitely worth giving a try. Not only did I learn a few techniques, but I also felt a genuine sense of comradery. Keep it up guys!
Free class was great! Norman was extremely nice and understanding the whole time. Everyone should at least try the free class because I never thought I would enjoy it and I loved it
I was visiting from out of town and dropped in here. It’s a great facility, amazing instruction, and everyone was really welcoming. I would definitely come back. Thanks for welcoming me.
I’m a former fighter and as I travel, I like to find places to contain my craft. I found this place while I was visiting Denver and let me tell you it felt like I’ve been there before. The mats were very comfortable, with good space and the instructors were top-notch. Very professional place. I will be back every time I visit Denver.
Logos is awesome! Norman is a great teacher. I feel I learned a lot in just one session and got an amazing workout!
The place is clean with a cool aesthetic, the community is welcoming and skilled, and the instruction is thorough and beyond helpful. Very reasonable prices for drop-ins and memberships. Highly recommend aspiring and experienced grapplers to check Logos out!
This place is top notch. Not that I've seen the bottom of the barrel but from what I gained, these people like to have good fun. All I needed was good sportsmanship to be in this building.
I took an intro class at Logos, the staff was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. I would definitely recommend stopping in and checking it out if you’re interested in bjj.
Amazing environment & coaches!!! 100% recommend!
A great place to train. Vigorous training, fantastic detailed instruction, and nice people.
I went in for my free class and was hooked immediately. There is a culture here that is special. You will not regret going for yoursel!!
WORTH THE FREE CLASS My wife and I saw a sponsored ad on IG for a single free class and went just for fun (not having any knowledge or training) and left with basic knowledge of the sport, culture, and fundamental technique. We jumped right in with the class, learning exactly what the class was working on. Our instructor Norman was great at making the technique digestible for us. I should also mention the people we trained with were very helpful and supportive of us being in their class. Not sure how long they offer the free-classes, but would I would recommend this gym to anyone wanting to try something new and wanting to get out of their comfort zone. I’m looking into going back to “earn” myself some of their cool merch.
Great gym with some of the best and most experienced coaches in the game. Competitive and supportive atmosphere.
I really appreciate the intro class I attended at BJJ, it was so refreshing, the class students did a very good job of explaining some steps of BJJ, thanks to Mike, Mike, and Mike, Ethan, Norman, and all the rest that welcome you in with open arms. Thanks you guy's.
First class was a success. The Dojo is for the brave… I’ll be back !
Very fun and a hellova work out
This is legit the best JuJitsu experience I’ve had so far! Norman and the staff were so kind professional and informative. The folks in the class were friendly, it felt safe, and accepting, with just the right amount of competitive edge! I highly recommend!
Signed up after the first class. Was a very welcoming and fun experience. Jeff taught me the basics so I was able to keep up with warm ups even though I was exhausted, haha. Everyone is very patient and I am glad I took this opportunity.
Absolutely amazing instruction. Prof Liera is top notch and best instruction in Denver by far!
Great gym! I really like the community. super friendly and i’ve felt comfortable in all the different level classes.
High-level stuff. Maybe the best place to learn in the gi.
When traveling through Denver i always try to make a stop at logos. Super good vibes and top level teaching and training…. A must stop for the traveling practitioner!
As someone who just started their Jiu Jitsu journey, this was a great place to start. Everyone is extremely welcoming and could not recommend Logos enough.
I stopped in this morning to try class and was incredibly impressed with the instruction, cleanliness, and training partners. I have trained at multiple gyms over the years and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had. I immediately signed up and am stoked to continue my journey here.
I came in for a drop-in and really enjoyed the gym. I really like how the evening classes are structured. I learn a lot better when I am able to drill and then positional spar in the position we were drilling. The facility is very clean and there is plenty of space. Everyone I was able to drill with or spar has been welcoming, calm, and nice. Would highly recommend to anyone at any level of Jujitsu
I did two drop in sessions while in Denver and it was an amazing experience, everyone was some helpful and welcoming, and the instructors were top noch.
As a beginner I couldn’t have gone with a better gym, the fundamentals classes are great for beginners and the faster paced classes are challenging but great as well! Everyone is also so welcoming, love this place!
Absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had. I just moved to the area and an ad came across my instagram or Facebook offering a free first experience to Jiu Jitsu. I was looking to meet new people but I’m not the most physical person. The practice moved at the perfect speed for someone just trying something out, but also challenged me enough to not get boring. I encourage you to give the intro course a try!
Great gym. Spacious, good quality clean mats. Great instruction. Welcoming of visitors.
I recently had my first day at Logos and it was incredible. Everyone was super friendly and willing to roll with a new person. The energy and vibe is sweet and unique to any other place I have seen.
Amazing place to drop in, level is extremely high and everyone is very nice
I’ve dropped in a few times while visiting Denver and my experience has been great. The instruction is top notch, facilities are clean, and I have always felt welcome. I look forward to my next visit to Logos.
Good people, awesome art, great training
Great gym with great instruction
There are many jiu jitsu gyms out there but none like Logos Jiu Jitsu in Denver. Here you will find excellent coaching for all levels, a clean, welcoming atmosphere and the best training Colorado has to offer. Highly recommend this gym!
Logos is one of the best gyms that I have visited. Michael Liera is a very high level instructor and the gym has tons of active competitors. I stopped in on a Monday night and was very impressed with the amount of upper belts at class. Great rolls and a very welcoming community to both experienced and brand new practitioners. $35 drop in fee and accessible showers.
Being from Colorado, but living in San Diego for 10+ years, it's so cool to see world class jiujitsu in Denver. Logos is the place to be hands down, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Liera Jr. is as good as they come and leads by example. Go train!
Top notch gym with world class instruction from a world champion grappler in Michael Liera Jr. You won't find a better in academy Colorado. The best part about the gym is the positive vibe. Everyone is super friendly and focused strictly on Gi and NoGi Jiu Jitsu.
A welcoming atmosphere with top tier instructors.
"There is more philosophy on Jiu Jitsu mats than any Ivy League school in America"
Amazing experience with logos free trial. Easy sign up for the trial with great teachers and awesome people to learn with. 10/10 would recommend
The best BJJ gym in Colorado
Incredible environment to grow and learn from a world class instructor. Classes are well thought out and built off each other allowing concepts to stick. Coming in as a new white belt it has been amazing!
Dropped in this morning for a 1030am class while I’m traveling to Denver for work from West Virginia. Super inviting atmosphere; between the aesthetic of the building, the music & rolls/training I got in today, I couldn’t have had a better experience. Looking forward to dropping in again in the future. If you’re local or just traveling in, I couldn’t recommend Logos enough. Thank you for a great class!
Came in for my first ever bjj class with 0 experience - everyone was so welcoming and down to help me learn. Norm was super informative at the front and welcomed me with open arms. Definitely excited to keep coming back!
I have wanted to join BJJ for a while now. I read the reviews at Logos and figured since it was close and had amazing reviews, I would give it a try. When I arrived on the first day, I was greeted by Professor Liera (the owner). Incredibly welcoming and extremely down to earth. He is one of the best BJJ athletes in the entire world, yet friendly and approachable. Over the course of my brief training, I have interacted with Norman and Michelle two of the employees. Both are extremely friendly and take a genuine interest in getting to know you. My favorite part so far has been the community and progress I have been making. I have trained with Norman a few times now, and he great about giving pointers and going out of his way to help you develop your skills/technique. This was exactly what I was looking for in a gym. Overall, the culture at Logos is phenomenal. If you are a competitive athlete trying to find the best gym in Colorado or a working adult trying to find ways to boost your confidence and get in better shape, I definitely recommend Logos.
I dropped into a Logos class while on vacation in Denver. I am a white belt who has been practicing for about 8 months. This academy was awesome. The guy running the front office was super kind and welcoming. The facility is super nice and spacious and their equipment is good quality. The instruction was very clear which was much appreciated as the class covered topics I had not yet been taught. There were people of varying levels of experience but all were kind and collaborative in helping each other advance in their skill. I would recommend logos to anyone, whether you are brand new to BJJ or if you are a tenured high level belt.
Incredible coaching, great environment if you are looking for a lot of female training partners. Womens class on Sunday is amazing
This is the academy you want to be at for world class instruction. Great vibes, great classes, and very welcoming as well.
Hear me out, you tried playing pickle ball but it just never satisfied your desire to learn how to choke people out. So you want to learn jiu jitsu and learn from the best, right? Go to Logos.
After 2.5 years of training at Lōgōs, I can say with full confidence that this academy offers the finest instruction I've received the world over. I've trained BJJ in several locations around the globe: Africa, Europe, Pakistan, Asia, and of course, the U.S. To this day, no one has shared the guidance and level of structured details the way Prof. Liera Jr. does for his students on a daily basis. Everyone is kind, welcoming, and brings their best efforts to the mat. Come by and train!
I’ve tried a lot of MMA/jiu jitsu gyms in the area before landing on Logos. They don’t restrict white belts and newcomers to live drilling/sparring and incorporate both into classes. This gives a real representation of jiu jitsu and allows you to learn from your mistakes as opposed to other gyms in the area. With that said the level of jiu jitsu here and the details Liera provide are top notch. The music is good and the people(and dogs) are super friendly. Would definitely recommend this gym
Best Jiu-Jitsu gym in Denver and surrounding area! The gym offers a spacious and clean training environment, along with a tight-knit and supportive community that is happy to help you improve. Led by world-class instructors, Professor Liera and his team provide exceptional, in-depth instruction, and are readily available to help you understand various positions, techniques and styles. Whether you're a passionate hobbyist or aspiring competitor, Logos is ideal for both. Come by and train.
The best JJ in Denver, easy. Great instruction, hard training, awesome people
Basics first; everyone is super friendly and ownership is meticulously clean. This is a school first and foremost and professor Leira is an observant and reflective teacher. Classes seem to follow a pattern and “syllabus” of sorts. These classes emphasize learning the technique in increasing difficulty. A grueling full-body workout, especially for the brain muscle.
Great gym! The gym is full of high level competitors and very welcoming people! You will end up calling this place home!!
Amazing atmosphere and instruction. It can be intimidating entering a new world, but Logos is a welcoming place, and it feels good to be there.
At Lōgōs, I was able to reshape my BJJ/Grappling game. I wish, I joined this academy earlier. So far it has been a great learning experience. Thanks to Professor Liera Jr for creating this opportunity to train and enjoy the lifelong journey.
Wonderful instruction and great culture! You'll be missing out if you don't at least stop by. Also, a great women's group!
Logos is by far the best place for high level & hobbyist jiu jitsu practitioners, with a range of the best jiu jitsu minds Denver has to offer. Professor Liera jr. is world class in his approach to teaching concepts & tactics, with the knowledge and best of all the MEDALS to prove it works. Logos also has just recently opened a youth jiu jitsu academy for the kiddos to learn the same skills and lessons that will stick with them throughout their lives. Come by and train 🤙🏽
When I was looking at apartments in the Denver area, I dropped in and everyone was super welcoming and offering their insight on places to live in Denver. It was at this point that I knew I was going to join Logos as soon as I moved to Denver. I’ve now been a member for just over a year now and have thoroughly enjoyed the instruction and training there. Professor Lierra teaches most of the classes and is always willing to answer questions and help. He explains things very clearly and his attention to detail is impeccable. There’s also a great group of ladies who train here and they recently added a women’s class, taught by Elizabeth Lierra, who is a fantastic instructor as well. The rolls at Logos are very technical and I have always felt safe and feel like my partners are considerate of my limitations, size, etc. Overall, very pleased with the Jiu Jitsu instruction and very pleased with how friendly and kind members are.
Michael Liera Jr is an excellent teacher that gives a crystal clear explanation of techniques to a complete novice like myself. Everyone I have met at the gym has been very inclusive and great to be around. Only a couple months in but I highly recommend stopping in if you’re looking for a place to train.
If you’re looking for high level instruction with a friendly training environment, logos is the place. This gym has something to offer for everyone from first class white belt to world class black belt. Michael has created the highest level gi and no gi training available in Denver.
Great community. Great technique.
This tops my list of best academies I've been to. I've been a member at roughly 6 different gyms over the years and dropped in at even more ranging from casual clubs to homes of multiple world champions. Michael and team bring all of the best traits from the highest quality academies. Instruction is structured logically with specific learning goals in mind. Sparring blends elements of open training with specific controlled scenarios to force students to learn how to apply the techniques shown in class. Students are here to learn and improve their weaknesses rather than mindlessly trying to win in the gym, and it shows. There is also a constant flow of high level visitors from well known competition schools throughout the US. The facility has a massive mat space which is cleaned regularly throughout the day. Additionally, the bathrooms are always clean, which unfortunately isn't true for all gyms. It's the small things that count, and the attention to detail here is noticeable. I'd highly recommend Logos to anyone interested in learning jiu jitsu, getting in shape, or just searching for somewhere to visit while traveling to Denver.
I was in town for work and I wanted a place to train. Finding the right gym to drop in sometimes could be tough, because you don't know the environment / culture of the gym. I enjoyed my time and didn't mind paying a drop in fee. The members are nice and welcoming. And the technique learned was great! If i'm in Denver again - I know exactly where I need to go to train.
Excellent instructors and a great environment for people of all skill levels!
This is a great school. Michael and the other professors are skilled teachers and provide a varied perspective of the game. The room is HUGE and there are plenty of people to learn from - a very welcoming space. Beyond the superb experience, the school runs many classes and you can train for hours most days - super helpful if you want to see progress fast.
This gym has an awesome growing and supportive group of practitioners of all levels of BJJ. From beginner to world champions. There is something for everyone at this gym. I leave each class I attend feeling like I have learned something new.
To be honest, I don’t have anything to compare this place to since I’ve only been doing jiu jitsu for about 6-months, but I love this place and BJJ has become my favorite hobby. The members are friendly and helpful, the instructors are super knowledgeable, AND there are two geriatric dogs.
An amazing atmosphere to practice and share in the art of BJJ. Professor Liera Jr. has a very in depth teaching style that is still able to be consumed by anyone no matter the experience level. The community atmosphere is the best. At Lōgōs Jiu Jitsu you get to be yourself and get some of the highest level training there is! Come join us!
I would recommend this gym to anybody looking to start training bjj. The experience/competition in this gym is unbelievable and the instructors are very knowledgeable. Had to take time off due to injury but will be back asap.
For me this is the best bjj gym in Colorado. The facility is great, world class training, great mats and high quality practitioners . I travel everywhere and I haven’t seen this quality across the board. Michael and his staff are amazing people. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Logos is definitely the best!!!!
Posted 3 years agoThe gym is very nice and clean with a great mat. The instruction was good and the people were very skilled. I was excited to join and get back into BJJ. In my first class I suffered an injury that would keep me out for an extended period of time which was pretty devastating. When I asked if I could be charged a drop in fee instead of the full $229 for the month I was told no and when I asked why I was provided no explanation, they didn't even respond. I just wouldn't treat someone like that.
