I trained with Dalla off and on from 2003 to 2011. Amazing instructor and a great guy! Highly recommend 👌
I have trained with Master Leo Dalla since 2019. My experience has been very positive. The practices are not very crowded; the teammates are supportive; you can find practitioners at various levels; it is not strictly structured as many other oriental martial arts are, meaning we are treated with respect and we pass this respect on the mats without being forced to maintain certain made-up rules and traditions. I definitely recommend this place, but be aware, it is very addictive 😜😁
I’ve trained at both the Woodbridge and Ballston location for nearly five years and love training under Dalla. Family-like atmosphere with lots of freedom to explore different techniques all while learning from a legend. I love training here.
Best gym in the area and master Dalla and other instructors are top notch.
The best gym in NOVA.I got to train at Leo Dalla’s for over 2 years. Very knowledgeable and friendly people. Give it a shot if you wanna learn pure Brazilian jiu jitsu and get in shape.
One of the best levels of instruction on the East cost without a doubt. Master Dalla is a phenomenal practicioner and individual who provides the perfect environment for learning for all individuals regardless of skill sets age or rank.
Love this place. Leo Dalla is one of the few pioneers for bjj in america, specifically the east coast. He provides great instruction as well as a friendly and down to earth atmosphere.
This the best thing ever
I dropped in on this gym as a white belt and was paired up with a heavier blue belt who was struggling to open my closed guard. He immediately tried to can opener me as hard as he could (in gi too). In top half this spaz kept grinding his head into my face lol. Everyone else I rolled with was ok but didn't seem very technical. Not a good sign if you have a blue belt who struggles to open a closed guard legally.
