Went there for a “bachelor party” for one of the regular gym members. The space was really clean, it had a welcoming atmosphere and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience! The staff was very accommodating for our large group and they made sure that everyone was having a good time. Shout out to Coach Sam for being a solid instructor, it’s clear that he is very knowledgeable in his craft and was good at teaching us tips and tricks depending on our skill level.

I'm so thankful for the knowledgeable and genuinely kind coaches at District Martial Arts. However, I'm especially moved by the quality of the students. My training partners are consistently fantastic. Even with the occasional exception inherent in any gym, the overwhelming majority are dedicated, adaptable, and genuinely invested in helping each other improve. This supportive environment has been invaluable to my growth. I highly recommend District Martial Arts for anyone looking to elevate their abilities and create meaningful memories.

My experience at this location recently was my very first exposure to martial arts first hand. Coach Sam was absolutely wonderful to learn the basics from. He ensured safety was first priority and broke down techniques in a way a novice could understand them with ease. I felt welcomed the moment I stepped inside. I intend on returning without question.

Instructors, owner, and all of the staff are well trained and knowledgeable in any sort of martial art they teach. DMA, from what I’ve experienced, values customers and their experience at DMA even after they have left. There was a miscommunication between me and the company, yet they made it their utmost priority to compensate and retain my business! Instructors such as Carter, Scott, and Andrea have significant impacts on the productivity of every BJJ class I attended with them. Their owner, takes time out of his day to make sure all of his customers are taken care of. Regardless of the miscommunication, the owner still has made me feel valuable as a customer and as member of the community he has built. So I want to thank him and his diligence. Overall after training at 4 different gyms, I think that District Martial Arts offers the most quality classes, especially for grappling, out of any in the Arlington/DC area. If you’re looking to improve or even sharpen some techniques, their all levels or Comp level classes are immaculate. Thank you for your treatment and attention, wish you guys the best!

District MMA has been a great MMA gym, I’ve been going a little over 6 months, and will say all the coaches have been awesome, very knowledgeable, and really want to help you learn the discipline they’re teaching, as well as giving cross-disciplinary advice, which I really like such as how BJJ can affect wrestling take-downs, or how traditional Muay Thai stance differs between MMA stance and why. Training partners have all been great as well. It’s a great culture, and great training as well.
