  Great club with great people. Everyone is really friendly and there is an emphasis on safety. All ages and abilities welcome. Started for fitness and mobility at 40 years old and have greatly improved and learned some self defence skills along the way. I find training martial arts also benefits my mental health. My son now also trains at the club and thoroughly enjoys it.

  Leigh Ju Jitsu at the Self Defence Studio is perfect for kids and adults alike. The instruction from the sensei's is the best around and the techniques taught are realistic and effective for self defence purposes, from throws, locks and takedowns, to ground grappling and submissions. I love it all! The classes are varied, with martial arts striking, technique, cardio and strength/conditioning segments, all of which keep you extremely fit. The students and teachers are a great bunch of people, and the gym has a real friendly atmosphere. There's lots to learn and everyone is willing to help. Highly recommended club and affordable too.

  Great place for children to boost their confidence, make new friends and have fun learning to defend themselves. Relaxed environment and not solely focused on belts like other places. Lots of girls in the kids class too. Fantastic
