Before joining RGa Leigh i was struggling to find a sport and club that i felt wrlcomed and commected to. I was unhealthy and desperate to work on myself. Since joining RGa Leigh I am connected to the club, alot fitter and healthier, stronher physically and mentally, sore alot but in a good way like ive really pushed myself and got stuck in. I would recommend RGa Leigh because the coach Dave and the members of tje club are great and welcoming and the BJJ is taught and shared at such a great level. Really looking forward to earning my stripes and sreing where this path leads me. Thanks to Dave and all the team. Karl

Flitted between a few gyms since I've moved here and haven't found one I've felt at home at like RGA Leigh. Dave is a top coach, knows his stuff and teaches in a really accessible way. The crowd that trains here are all sound, really friendly with no egos and a great mix of levels from competitive to recreational, experienced to beginner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been training at RGA Leigh/Spinners for nearly 12 months and it’s the best decision I’ve made. I was looking for something to keep active after putting on more than a few pounds in lockdown and up to now I’m almost 2 stone down. Crazy to think when I couldn’t get through a full session when I started! The atmosphere at the gym is top notch and everybody is extremely welcoming. It can be quite overwhelming on your first day but Dave always ensures that you are comfortable and pairs you up with a higher belt. The level of instruction is top level which is evident from the success that the lads get in competitions. There’s a range of classes to suit everyone’s needs whether it’s lunch time/nights or weekends with dedicated beginners classes too. The gym is always clean and hygiene is a massive part of the club - there’s even a soap dealer😂 I would recommend RGA Leigh/Spinners to anyone wanting to start jiu jitsu or move gym as Dave genuinely cares about his members and wants everyone to succeed not only on the mats but off the mats too with his nuggets of wisdom (emails)

I would massively recommend RGA Leigh for anyone looking to start Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. There is a huge range of classes from beginner through to intermediate and also both gi and nogi. The team spirit amongst the members is second to none. Whilst it’s a solo sport, the encouragement, banter and willingness to help each other get better is brilliant. Not just the adult classes but the kids classes are also great. As a father to an autistic child I struggled to find a suitable sport for my child to attend prior to being introduced to RGA Leigh by a former member. Ever since I walked through the door with my son, the head coach Dave has been understanding, patient and encouraging to my son. He’s taken time to assist him when he’s needed further help and coaching and built an environment where he can thrive.

I looked into BJJ as a recommendation from friends and came across RGA Leigh as being my nearest gym with the best reviews. I have been away from exercise for a while and I can admit I’m definitely not in the best shape. I was rather anxious about attending classes due to my size and general low level of fitness. It was made clear to me right away by Dave, the coach, that it DOES NOT MATTER. What matters is that you turn up, and that you give it 100% when you do. I have a busy personal life at the moment and my schedule is unpredictable so I employ this every time I get on the mats and I feel fantastic every time I leave. It is hard work, there is a lot to learn and it requires a lot of patience, but through the guidance of not only the coach but other members of the gym, things do stick and it is extremely rewarding when your sessions pay off! I couldn’t have found a better gym or a better group of people to train with. I look forward to every thing that is to come and highly recommend RGA Leigh to anyone that is considering BJJ!
