  Dropped in for a Tuesday BJJ session. Coach Karl and the members were very welcoming. Really big mat space so students aren't crammed together when training. Coach is very knowledgeable with lots of good guys on the mats. Would recommend to anyone in the local area

  The guys were kind enough to let me drop in for a nogi session a few weeks back and were extremely welcoming - I was treated like another member of the gym. Good structured training and approachable coach. Thanks and I’ll be back when I’m next in Leicester!

  Leicester Shootfighters is a really friendly and welcoming gym, especially so for beginners. The coaches take their time to explain techniques clearly and make sure you understand what you’re doing before moving on. The atmosphere is supportive, not intimidating, and everyone from coaches to members make you feel comfortable straight away. Great place to start if you’re new and want solid guidance without feeling rushed.

  I’ve been training at Leicester Shootfighters for about 7 months now as a white belt, and it’s honestly the best place I could have started. The coaches are great at breaking things down and making the classes super beginner friendly, which really helped me feel comfortable straight away. The advanced classes are just as good too – the coaching is always clear and you can tell they really care about helping everyone improve, no matter what level you’re at. The atmosphere in the gym is welcoming and supportive, so it’s easy to enjoy training while still being pushed to get better. I’ve made way more progress in these 7 months than I thought I would, and that’s all down to the coaches and training partners here. Can’t recommend Leicester Shootfighters enough if you’re thinking about starting or looking for somewhere to train.

  Visited here for a bjj session whilst working in the area. A welcoming place and great atmosphere. I can honestly say I learnt something from just one class that’ll stick with me on my journey. Would recommend to anyone from beginner to expert.

  I've been staying in Leicester for a couple of weeks for business, where I also had the chance to step into Leicester Shootfighters and meet the coaches and the team. I never felt I'd missed my team and my home as the team and the coaches at Leicester Shootfighters have been super welcoming and friendly to me. Also, I had really good training sessions with them. I know for sure where to go for bjj training and wrestling next time. Highly recommended 🫶🤼‍♂️🤼‍♂️🔥🙌

  I first stepped into Leicester Shootfighters back in 2016 and trained there for about a year before relocating to a different city forced me to switch gyms. I loved training at the gym, and appreciated the solid foundation I gained in martial arts. Over the years, I've kept up training, including a year spent abroad at some top gyms in Southeast Asia. In 2024 I returned to LSF for about six weeks, and found the gym has gone from strength to strength. Coaches Nathan, Karl, and Luke each ran sessions that rival some of the best I've experienced anywhere. If you're serious about martial arts, LSF is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended.

  I’d 100% recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area, I had some great rounds with everybody at the open mat and learned some cool techniques in the class. The mats are kept very clean and everyone was very technical, overall I had a really good time. This is a great gym!

  I’ve had an amazing experiencing training here. Coaches are great at teaching, engaging and getting the best out of their students. I would recommend this gym for anyone who wants to begin their journey in martial arts as well to people who have experience under their belt because every lesson has its own gems to take away with you.
