Kaizen Martial Arts Academy came to deliver a self-defence workshop at our work staff development day. It was really useful to learn tips and techniques to keep yourself safe in different scenarios you may find yourself in. The workshop was delivered in a fun and physical way. I’d recommend for other staff development days!
My son has attended Kaizen since the age of 6 (he's now 14). He attends Karate sessions, squad training and has recently joined their self defence class.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for somewhere to start/resume their martial arts journey. The owners are former students of Kaizen themselves and are continuing to improve both the Dojo and the students they now have in their care.
Having previously trained, and returned to Kaizen after four years, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. The club has undergone continuous improvement for years, and after recently changing owners has been renewed with a fresh spirit. Lessons are energetic and light hearted, while being safe to delve into the deeper understanding of karate and work extremely hard honing skills and strength. The age group ranges from 7- 70 and is welcoming to people from all walks of life.
Kaizen has a focus on traditional karate, but has recently opened up more to sport based sparring, opening another avenue of learning for students of all ages and levels,
Kaizen has always been a huge part of my life and seeing the resilience and commitment from students and instructors never gets old.
Kaizen is a really great and support Martial Arts Club. My son has really enjoyed going for the last 4 years. He's made steady progress and is now a blue belt. The staff and whole club are supportive and helpful, the process is wonderful for young kids, and really helps them grow and mature whilst learning a real skill to help protect them.
Kaizen is a fantastic friendly place to train and meet new people, I've been doing karate here for a year and a half and self defence for a year and you won't find a friendlier group of martial artists than at Kaizen!
Everyone is so supportive and all of the instructors are experts at supporting you on your martial arts journey. Joining Kaizen completely changed my life, allowed me to take back control, do things I never thought I could and I've made lifelong friends here, I really can't recommend Kaizen enough, if you've ever thought about trying martial arts or improving your self defence skills, come along, you won't regret it!
