My cousin and I trained here a few years ago while I was visiting Toronto. Nick and co. kindly welcomed us and the training was definitely worth the drive from south Etobicoke.
Visited the gym for their Women’s Day open mat and it was so much fun! The mat space is really big, clean, had plenty of sunlight and ventilation, clean bathrooms, everything was well organized! They also have a store at the entrance so you can do some shopping before you get your rolls in 😁
Easy to locate, they have shower facilities, great location and most importantly, lots of parking! Will definitely be back to attend their classes!
The owner of the gym has built an incredible community of humble, hardworking, wide variety of skills and weight sizes that anyone can come away with knowledge and a sweat. Also offer a wide variety of classes for gi, no gi and encourage competitions if you so choose. Highly recommend and nothing but great times with great people!
Of the many gyms I've trained at around the world, this gym is, hands down, among the best all around. The community and the jiu jitsu here are incredible and I would recommend it to anyone at any level looking for good training with wonderful people.
Amazing atmosphere and even better people, all within a beautiful and incredibly safe training environment. I’ve been dropping in for open mats over the past year, and the people are always really welcoming I love that you can train with both casual hobbyists like myself and high-level competitors who also call this gym home. They’re highly engaged in Toronto’s jiu-jitsu scene which how I found out about them on instagram, regularly hosting seminars and events. An all-around fantastic gym with an amazing community!
Started out during COVID to stay active, and quickly transitioned into a key part of my workout routine. Nich and the instructors are very precise with their skill and deliverance of class instruction. I found that being consistent had noticable health benefits and it also enhances my work performance in a very active and volitile environment. I'm proud to be apart of the JT6 family and hope anyone reading this will consider this as their primary training environment.
This is one of those jiu-jitsu studios that lives up to the social media. When you enter through the store front, you are welcomed in and directed to the gym. The gym itself is clean, vibrant, and spacious, with available change rooms, showers, and seating. The staff and students are friendly and helpful with any questions you have, and when rolling, give you some competitive rounds on the mats. Can't wait to go back and drop in on some classes.
JT6 Studio is hands down one of the best BJJ gym I've ever trained at! The high-level instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, always providing top-notch instruction and personalized feedback. The class scheduling is convenient, offering plenty of options to fit into any busy lifestyle.
The facility itself is beautiful and meticulously clean, creating a perfect environment for training. What really sets JT6 Studio apart is the strong, welcoming community. The camaraderie and support here are unmatched, making every session not just a great workout, but a truly enjoyable experience.
If you're looking for a top-tier BJJ gym with exceptional instructors and an amazing community, JT6 Studio is the place to be. Highly recommended!
JT6 BJJ Academy in Leaside is hands down one of the best places I’ve trained at. What initially was supposed to be a month membership turned into 5 months!! That’s says a lot. I train at another academy and I just wanted extra training in morning and I’m very picky with where I train.
The place is super clean and has such great vibes. It’s always chill and a lot of fun to be there, which makes a huge difference.
Nick, the instructor, is awesome. He’s really friendly, positive, and always patient & encouraging. Whether you’re new or experienced, he makes everyone feel welcome and pushes you to improve without any pressure
If you’re into BJJ or thinking about starting, you should definitely check out JT6. It’s a fantastic spot with a great community. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much Nick! Keep doing what you’re doing for the BJJ community, can’t wait to drop by again soon 👊

Amazing vibes, relaxed environment, extremely clean, and always focusing on your personal jiu jitsu journey and growth. Private Lessons, Group Seminars and regular day to day classes (Gi and No Gi)
All the people that go there as well are very friendly and helpful along your journey
