I was incredibly nervous to start kickboxing, but I’m so glad I tried out my first class.
The members and coaches are super welcoming, knowledgeable, and they meet you where you are. They teach you enough that you feel like you're always learning without being overwhelmed.
Awesome gym, everyone is super friendly.
Training again after a 20 year break from martial arts. Really happy with the instructors and the community 5/5
I came in to train here when I was working a short term contract in the area. Right away I was amazed at all the cool hand-painted murals there are outside and inside the gym. Everyone here was so kind and welcoming, I felt right at home here from the beginning. I learned some awesome techniques and then had some really fun rolls with the team afterwards. I will definitely make a point to come back here. It’s worth a couple hours of commuting to come to this incredible gym. The teaching here is second to none.
trained here once. i tried the no-gi bjj class. we started with stand up wrestling techniques then started doing bottom guard work. i really liked it. competitve environment full with young guys looking to improve. coaches were really cool, welcoming and helpful, too.
parking is a little tough to figure out, but the gym has a nice classic feel and great training. id definitely reccomend this gym to anyone looking to start training or for a change.
Fantastic studio, fantastic coaching. It has been over a year training with Jeff and the other phenomenal instructors and it has made a lasting and meaningful impact on both my physical and mental wellbeing as well as building valuable tools for self defense should the situation arise. Overall if you are debating joining an MMA gym, I highly recommend this one. Everything from the environment to the people you get to work with day in and day out are exceptional and I truly love that Martial Arts have become such a large part of my everyday life since I began training here.
Thank you to the whole Joslins team for their kindness and commitment to MMA.

Always wanted to train at Joslins since I moved to Hamilton 6 years ago. Just over a month in I wish i started sooner. The diverse class schedule really helps pick and choose what you want to work on whether it be kick boxing or bjj.
The instruction is always top notch and the sense of community when you get there is very warm and welcoming. I still look forward to training and learning something new every class.

I can’t say enough good things about Joslins! I’ve trained bjj, boxing and kickboxing there, the workout is amazing and always has me coming back for more! It’s a very welcoming environment, suited for people of all experience levels. Do yourself a favour and try it out, you won’t be disappointed!!
Jeff is the best instructor you will find. With his background and knowledge, he is the most humbling person you will meet. Not only are Jeff and the other instructors amazing, the people who take the classes are welcoming and inviting. They dont care if its your first class or 1000th class, you are welcomed by everyone. I cant recommend this gym enough. I train here, as well as my son. if you want world class training, an insane cardio workout, and a safe, non judgemental environment, then youve come to the right place!
This gym is great for those looking to get into kickboxing, boxing, or BJJ (or all 3 if you wish). The place is kept clean, and has a welcoming environment for newbies! I loved that I got to try out a class for free before I signed up long-term. Jeff Joslin (the owner) is ever-present at the gym, and has a wealth of experience in coaching and fighting himself as a former UFC athlete. Each time I train at Joslin's I feel like I'm getting work and knowledge from one of the best sensei's out there.
I dropped in for a beginner Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class last month, and it was a great introduction. The facility is spacious with large matted areas that feel clean and well-maintained, plus plenty of bags and equipment around. The instructor was patient and detailed, making sure everyone understood the techniques without pushing too hard. Everyone on the mat was respectful and helpful, creating a supportive vibe even for newcomers. Parking is easy right on Concession Street, and the location up on the mountain is straightforward to reach. Solid place to train consistently.
