I signed my 5-year-old son up for the karate program. We have been members now for 3 months. I have been thrilled with the experience at TEMA. Shihan is providing the youth in his class with valuable life lessons partnered with self-defense skills, discipline, and self-forgiveness. These are skills that are personally important to our family and instilling these values in our son's life. The reinforcement of these skill sets with other youth makes it more impactful to my child. We enrolled our daughter about 7 months ago, and we haven't looked back. Shihan Trevor possesses impressive technical skills and has a genuine passion for teaching. Our daughter is not only learning the traditional forms and techniques of karate, but she is also learning invaluable life lessons in discipline, respect, and perseverance. Shihan understands that karate is not just about physical prowess but also about mental fortitude, and he emphasizes this in every class. The classes are a balance between rigorous training and constructive feedback. Shihan would take the time to work individually with students, ensuring that everyone progresses at their own pace. Furthermore, the sense of camaraderie among students fosters a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether you are a seasoned martial artist or a complete novice, you will find immense value in the instruction, atmosphere, and sense of purpose fostered within these walls.

My daughter has been training with Shihan Trevor for about 8 months. This has been a positive change for her! She has more confidence to participate at school and determination to complete all tasks, either academic or athletic. She has learned to be self-disciplined and respect people and her surroundings. Shihan is fair and aware of his student’s individual needs and learning pace. He makes learning fun, but serious when needed, especially during self defense class. We value Shihan Trevor relationship with our daughter and are very thankful for his commitment to her, his other students and his knowledgeable teachings.

My son took part in training here. Trevor and his family are awesome, encourages team morale and ensures everyone is comfortable with the content of the class. The facility itself is clean, welcoming and drives discipline and engagement. Also always makes sure the kids have a bit of fun during some of the holiday seasons like laser tag for halloween! Highly recommend for your training needs, great spot for the whole family.

I have been taking my son to shihan for 2 months. In that time shihan has boosted his confidence substantially. He has taught him alot and is constantly teaching great lesson through karate and self defense. I will be putting my other son in his program when he comes of age
