Had a fantastic experience at ISI BJJ when I was visiting Winchester. As a woman and being fairly new to bjj it could have been intimidating visiting a new gym, but I was made to feel extremely welcome and safe straight away. Coach Omar and Coach Orlando were very generous with their time and knowledge and I learned so much in one session. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Winchester and would recommend ISI to anybody. Thank you for having me!

I was thinking of starting BJJ for a long time before I finally got the courage up to give Iron Sharpens Iron a try. Best thing I have done for myself in years!! It s it a great workout, mental challenge and nice to be learning a new skill again. Omar and the team are so welcoming and expert instructors, offering a place to truly escape the stresses of everyday life.
Great local gym. Friendly environment and has been recently refurbished. The team is small but is always happy to help with any queries regarding technique, memberships etc. I have been training for a few years now and still learn lots, as well as having challenging rolls so this is a good gym whether you’re just starting out or have more jiu-Jitsu experience.
I joined "Iron Sharpens Iron" mid-summer last year after recommendations from a few people when looking to get back into martial arts after a short spell at traditional JJ 10 years ago. I was put in contact with Coach Omar, who passionately explained about his club and welcomed me straight into the group, and he has now become a friend. It was a relief to find a nice local club with a good bunch of guys to learn and train in BJJ, in a friendly, no-ego environment. Omar is extremely passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced, and really cares which clearly translates into his students, to whom he is greatly respected. He also has a background in USA wrestling, which adds more wealth of grappling knowledge from other styles that he translates into our standard BJJ training, as well as being an avid follower of many martial arts in general. I also have to give props to Orlando, who is our second coach and does a great job of holding the fort when needed. In 6 months, I have gained much knowledge and confidence in my training and look forward to what the future brings. I am fortunate to have found this precious jewel in Winchester, and I recommend anyone to come and give it a go!
Great teen class. Omar is an amazing coach. Good instruction and every session they work hard on technique and sparring.

Lit up my love for the sport, the coaches of Omar and Orlando don’t just teach great BJJ but are also incredibly kind and talented people who genuinely care for your progress. Not to mention that everyone whom I had the pleasure of meeting and sparring with were some of the kindest people ever, with those who have years more experience than the beginners often helping them learn new techniques and defences, it was truly more than just a club to me and all others who have passed through. Would recommend to all who wish to learn BJJ as this club is the gold standard ideal of teachers and partners one can have in the sport.

Great experience, felt like my game improved a lot in my few months of having the pleasure training with the team. A great group of people always looking to help you get better! Would recommend to anyone in and around Winchester looking to get into BJJ.

Incredibly welcoming and an extremely friendly atmosphere. The head coach, Omar, is an incredible teacher. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get into martial arts for the first time!

Great group at ISI. I joined as a complete novice and was welcomed along with guidance and patience from the whole academy, always making sure I had someone to roll with and always provided with tips on how to improve. Coach Omar is a very knowledgeable instructor who outlines technique in a clear way. Will be returning when I can!
