I got my kids started here (when they were 6 & 4) for the child development aspects. The eldest was very nervous and tried to dodge harder aspects like wrestling or got upset at a loss. The coaches are incredible in helping and teaching them so now both kids are so confident, the eldest even putting his hand up first and choosing to wrestle the most experienced opponents knowing he will likely lose and smiling throughout. All learning is done through play and challenge and has been a game-changer. I nervously started training at 40, having no martial arts experience. I was welcomed warmly by an amazing community. What started out really confusing soon started making sense and learning happens every time I'm on the mats. Not only is it great exercise, but much needed therapy from grown-up life! Everyone there is so humble and ready to help and the experience levels are second to none. My only regret is that I didn't start 5 years ago! Thank you Steve and all!

Started training here a month ago after a 3 - 3.5 year break from the mats, was difficult to return after such a break and I'm not from the norwich area.. however Steve and everyone else at the gym is very cool and welcoming, amazing gym for all levels 💪👌

Excellent place - would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn BJJ. I started as a beginner and found the structure really useful and easy to follow. The coaches and other members are all very friendly and always happy to help. I have recently moved up to the intermediate classes and am enjoying the time spent on the mats. Steve is friendly and welcoming - I would encourage anyone interested to give it a go with Icon Ju Jitsu Team.

What a great place, I wish I joined sooner! Coach Steve and the team are always very welcoming, friendly, very knowledgeable and teach with passion and pride. Since joining Icon, I've learned so much more about myself and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, growing bored of going to the regular gym, learning a never ending set of new skills combined with fitness is exactly what I wanted and l look forward to a long future with Icon. Thanks to Steve and the team!

I've been. attending classes at Icon for roughly 18 months. I started off on the tailored beginners program which gave me a good understanding of the fundamentals of BJJ. Steve and his coaches were always patient and took the time to break down the moves when I didn't quite understand them. I have recently moved up to intermediate level and all the higher belts and fellow white belts have been happy to help when I've asked for guidance. This is a friendly welcoming club where egos are left behind and we are all there to better ourselves and each other. I highly recommend Icon BJJ Norwich as a club and Steve as a coach.

Such a great club, the coaches are friendly and most importantly patient, the members are more than happy to help you progress with whatever questions you have. A very diverse set of people of all ages , from every walk of life who are all there to better themselves with like minded people. If you’re reading these reviews then take the next step and pop into see Steve, your only regret will be not doing it sooner.

The team and instructors at Icon are amazing. The classes for beginners are perfect, as you get the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu with a methodical approach that is easy to follow, so that when you progress to sparing, you have a system that allows you to survive and make progress. Now that I've been training with the team for 3 months, I've just started to try a little bit of light sparring for the first few times (not that you have to rush into it - you can take your time if doing so works better for you), and every single person I have partnered with has made a real effort to teach me and help me get a firmer handle on what I've been learning. There are people of all different shapes, sizes, ability and experience levels, with different goals or whatever, but consistently the feeling everyone here emits is "we're all one team". If you're thinking of joining, you definitely should come down and give it a go.

The best place for Martial Arts training in Norfolk with competent coaches with first hand experience. Very friendly and supportive even if, like me, you're a bit shy or quiet. You won't find better Jiu-Jitsu anywhere else in East Anglia

Great teaching, very expensive, however my membership bounced once as I didn't allocate money to it from my bank and got charged double (£147). I won't be returning.
