Stopped into Hybrid while I was in Roanoke during a work trip. Facility is awesome and there's plenty of space to train. Spoke to Tim, who's one of the owner's and he could not have been more accommodating. Everyone was friendly and fun to train with and I got along great with everyone I interacted with. Will definitely make another visit if I find myself in Roanoke again

Had a chance to drop in for a class while I was working in town and I had a great time. The instructors are very knowledgeable and detailed and have a great gym full of awesome people. The training here is top notch and I can’t wait to come back!

Stopped in while on vacation in the area. Professor was awesome enough to let my brother and I drop in on a class. Instruction was top notch! They don't throw you to the wolves like most other BJJ gyms I know. Anyone thinking of starting BJJ should for sure start here. You feel welcome and safe. They might exist here but none of the white belts i rolled with are considered "spazzy" white belts. Egos are tamed and in check.

Excellent group of people. Talented instructors that can give high-level instruction while maintaining a beginner-friendly environment. Great training partners and professionals that take it seriously, but understand we all have to go to work tomorrow. Highly recommend.

Trained here back in 2019 and again in 2023 when I was in Roanoke for work. This is a great gym. The instruction was excellent, the students and coaches were very welcoming, and the sparring was good. Will definitely return next time I go to Roanoke.

The culture here is excellent - I've been training here for two years now and I have never once had a significant issue with the staff or any people training at the gym. They focus on fundamentals and technique. There is no room for ego or pride-driven bullies and the teachers are clear and very skilled. The mats are clean and the people are nice... what more could you want?

I have been training at this location for close to 10 years. You will not find a better more diverse group of Jiu Jitsu practitioners that are all upstanding people. Where else will you find multiple black belts actively teaching, rolling and hanging out. Very lucky to train with such a great group.

I had to come to Roanoke because my mom was very sick. While I was here I found Hybrid, I had been out of training for a few months due to some injuries. This was a perfect opportunity to get back to movement and some classes. These folks are beautiful people. The best things about martial arts and training are alive and well here. I will never forget my experience I had with these great people. Hope to get back soon. Thanks so much!!!

This place is alright, the jui jitsu class looks really good. The muay thai class was okay. Not what I was looking for, i need more physical contact and competitive atmosphere.

My Boyfriend and I moved to Roanoke about 3 weeks ago. Bjj is his passion and he literally needed to find a gym. Dennis and everyone in the gym have been nothing but great. We had some of the hardest times for two young people but I've never seen him happier. Seeing him so happy makes me want to give it a try now.
