  As a single mom that works full time, I was just looking for a jiu jitsu studio that was convenient. HONU BJJ seemed like the obvious choice as it's on the way home from my son's daycare and it's only 4 minutes from our house. Little did I know that HONU BJJ is where we belong ❤️ My son and I visited days before his 3rd birthday and he was so excited, he wanted to join the class right then and there! We felt an immediate warm welcome from instructors, parents and students alike. The professors are friendly, dedicated and patient (a necessity when you have 3 year old students). I am appreciative that my son is getting the positive male role model experience that he wants and needs. The vibe is so positive; it's a wonderful place to train! My son loves his class; he beams with joy and pride afterwards. I'm grateful that HONU BJJ is becoming a valuable part of my son's childhood. It is the ideal place for him to learn and grow into jiu jitsu ❤️

  Honu is a great place to train. They have tons of classes and many black belt instructors. Everyone here is helpful and they really instill a learning culture here. Great place to train jiu jitsu.

  This is a great family-oriented Jiu-Jitsu academy. Top-notch instructors with a variety of classes to fit different schedules. I recommend this academy if you live in the central San Diego area.

  Amazing instruction and very nice people . I’ve visited several gyms in multiple states and my experience there was very positive . Also very tough team with great fundamentals! Thanks professors Brad and Shawn !

  This is a great place to train BJJ or start the process of learning it. My girlfriend + myself both are students. People are friendly, the place is always clean, + the coaches are talented / supportive. That's exactly what you want in a BJJ gym. Highly recommended!

  Not inviting, lack of customer service. Rude and arrogant demeanor. There's plenty of welcoming well trained gyms around here to waste money where you feel unwelcome Customer service is key. I'd give it 0 stars if I could
