I wanted to try out Jiu Jitsu for years but never made the time to try it because of work and raising kids. I finally gave it a try after being invited out to the school by Kelly and Adam. I am hooked! It’s great community of people from all walks of life that genuinely care about the art of Jiu Jitsu and want you to learn it and practice it with them. The coaches are patient and want you to understand the moves and how to counter the attack. To be honest it’s been quite the journey so far. It’s certainly eye opening learning things physically and mentally in Jiu Jitsu and applying the ideas in my everyday life. There ability to teach kids is hands down the best I’ve seen in martial arts. The one -on- one interactions with kids and getting to them work together and practice is amazing! Two of my kids come here as well and love the art itself, and the community. It’s truly been a great experience learning Jiu Jitsu and Great Lakes with my kids!

If you are looking for an awesome place to learn Jiu Jitsu, look no further! Kelly is wonderful with my daughter, carefully explaining moves. As a matter of fact, so is Adam and all the other instructors there, each one is great at helping! Additionally, my daughter is enjoying the kick boxing as well. Super friendly and family oriented, you just can't choose a better place to learn and practice!

10/10 I absolutely love everything about this gym. The instructors are kind, informative, and very welcoming. I never felt out of place or like I don’t belong even though I am very very new to the sport. My favorite classes are combat conditioning, beginners kickboxing, and beginners jiu jitsu. I also love that this gym has very affordable all inclusive pricing. Also, they're very accommodating for parents with small children. I’ve been going here for about 3 months and I highly recommend!

Our experience with this gym has been nothing short of spectacular. All of the coaches are EXTREMELY knowledgeable, respectful, helpful and welcoming. Instructors Adam and Bryam have done a phenomenal job teaching our son BJJ. They are great with kids and their patience is unparalleled. They offer kickboxing, beginners BJJ, regular BJJ, and other classes. Elijah is also a fantastic striking instructor for kids and adults. Not only are the instructors great, but the community of members at this gym is also amazing. Everyone helps each other and is super welcoming. I am so appreciative of these guys and the gym. They never require any upfront commitments. Unlike other gyms, they care more about the members than turning a profit. If you give this place a shot, you won’t regret it.

Such a wonderful place to train. In my couple months of being here, I am in love. The coaches are very skilled with each brining their own style of expertise to the mat. As a father of five, I could not have asked for a more family oriented gym to train at. The loving coaches and people make it a great place to bring your family. I will always chose Great Lakes BJJ over any gym, I definitely would recommend to anyone at any level!
