My daughter has just left Cosens in Grand Blanc because she was not getting at all what she needed from there. We came to Gracie Barra as a trial to make sure we were going to like it, turns out we loved it. We have been going for a couple months now and let me tell you since day one. My daughter has absolutely loved it, her coaches, everything! The coaches are so Hands-On and help the children so much. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!
Posted 1 year agoMy journey into BJJ wasn't driven by a desire to be the best, or to earn stripes and belts. Instead, it was driven by the need to find a positive outlet and face personal challenges head-on. As I've progressed, I've seen a huge improvement in my mental health. This gym has been a lifeline, providing the solace and safe environment I need to manage my PTSD and continue growing not only for myself, but more importantly, for my family.
Posted 11 months agoJust got my blue belt in jiu jitsu after 18 months of putting in the work. I’m ecstatic with the progress I’ve made, and I’m so excited to keep going. The atmosphere has remained positive and encouraging, the teachers and higher belts continue to foster a culture of respect and patience for all belt levels. I’ve made such wonderful friends along the way. 🥰 Everyone has become like family! 🥰
Posted 1 year agoGreat family environment. We have 2 girls 12 & 6 who go for ju Jitsu and Muay Thai. Coach Muay and the team are patient and great teachers. This is true training, not like a karate class. The kids apply what they learn each session in sparing. It's not hard, just focused. My 3 yr old son has even been allowed to take part and will be full-on training next year.
Posted 1 year agoI've been training at Gracie Barra Burton for about a year now, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff here is fantastic, and I mostly work with Pav and Ryan who instruct Muay Thai. Both are incredibly knowledgeable and patient, making every class challenging yet rewarding. Every time I attend, I leave feeling like I've gotten a great workout and learned something new. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the community is supportive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to train, whether you're a beginner or more experienced. Love this place!
