    I dropped in to train Jiu-Jitsu at Gracie Pooler tonight for the first time. The instructor was welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. The students were all friendly and respectful of each other. The facility was clean and as soon as the class was over they worked as a team to disinfect the training area. As for the lesson, it was well structured consisting of multiple techniques focused around a similar goal. After the lesson we paired up to spar “roll”, this was fun and challenging! The instructor controlled the activity and ensured everyone was safe. If you are interested in trying something fun, challenging, and full of excitement check this place out.     Gracie Jiu Jitsu in pooler is absolutely amazing, great atmosphere, culture, and people all around. Very good training partners and Coach Ryan is also very good at what he does and you’d be learning from one of the best. I’m almost on my 3 month mark and I’ve improved drastically because of him.     This place is great and the instructors are even better. I had no martial arts experience before coming here and didn't know what to expect. What I found is a group of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The instructors will help you but also.the more experienced students that have been doing it for years are equally as willing to help. Overall I have not a single negative thing to say about this place. If you've ever been interested in learning Jiu-Jitsu than this is the place to go. They even offer a 1 week free trial to see if it's for you.

    We are so lucky to have this school open up in Pooler. I recently moved the Savannah area and found James through his BJJ school there. I've been lucky to have lived in areas with great schools under a few legends (and have dropped in many others while traveling). I can say without a doubt James is one of the best teachers in the world. He is highly technical, drills deep into fundamentals with a stoic vibe, which I believe attracts great people and drives a strong family culture. There are also a number of humble yet elite competitors.

    Gracie Jiu-jitsu Pooler and Savannah is the place for Jiu-Jitsu in this area. The instructor lineage is strong and the Pooler location is especially convenient for those living a bit further from Savannah! If you want general fitness, self-defense, high level grappling instruction, or just fellowship you can find it all here. They also offer kids classes!
