Before signing up our children, we tried several other places in Bothell area and for us Gracie Barra is the best training school. Here is a very friendly and welcoming environment, where kids feel comfortable from day one. In addition, the monthly fees are reasonable and kids can attend jiu-jitsu 4 times a week.
Posted 2 years agoReally great gym. I've been a GB student for 4 years and even though I moved to Seattle and attend a different gym I still think the Bothell location is the best. Super spacious, super open to beginners, and top notch instruction all at a good price. Professor Melvin is regarded as one of the best GB teachers in the state (he's scary good). And Coach Holly is really great and supportive. If you're new to the art, there's no better place to try it.

Posted 6 months agoA Great place to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and self-defense. The professor and coaches teach you in a safe and non-intimidating environment, even if you have any martial arts or combat sports experience. Just remember it is your journey and to learn at your own pace.
Posted a year agoA fantastic school to learn BJJ with rock solid fundamentals. There has been a recent change in instructors and our new professor Melvin is the highest ranked black belt in the state. All of the team have great attention to detail. Even if you have experience with other gyms and other professors you will still learn a lot. The atmosphere amount students is very mature and collegial. Everyone is very warm, friendly, and eager to learn. When my son is old enough he will definitely be training here. The only challenge can be parking.
