Man where do I begin. This gym is incredible. I came to this gym after leaving a more serious boxing gym and I am so glad I found this place. The instructor Luis is an amazing teacher having spent 20+ years doing various martial arts. He breaks down every technique, every combo step by step because he wants to make sure everyone understands the process and learns properly. And the fact that there's sparring every day is awesome. I love to spar. I was used to hard sparring when I first came in but after training here for over a year, I've been able to set the ego aside and just have fun sparring lightly without trying to take someone's head off. I thought I missed hard sparring but now I really don't. It's better for your health anyway. Not only are the training and instruction fantastic, but the culture of the gym is amazing as well. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming and it feels like a family. We all joke around and have fun and it has been a blessing to me to find a place like this. Keep doing what you're doing Coach it's awesome work!

Gorilla Martial Arts is one of the best training environments I’ve ever been a part of. The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back, and there’s no pressure, contracts, or gimmicks—just high-quality martial arts taught by people who really know what they’re doing. Luis Rodriguez, the owner and head instructor, teaches every class himself. That alone sets GMA apart from many gyms. He has over 20 years of experience across multiple disciplines and it shows in the clarity of his instruction. Whether we’re working Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, or MMA fundamentals, he breaks down technique in a way that makes the underlying mechanics easy to understand and apply. He is patient, detailed, and really cares that students progress. I also appreciate the training structure. Every class includes controlled, light sparring or positional rounds, so you actually get to build skill in a live setting without feeling overwhelmed or unsafe. The students here are skilled, respectful, and welcoming; I came in with prior experience, and the level of technical ability on the mats was a big part of what made me choose this gym. If you’re looking for a place to learn real martial arts, get high-level coaching, and be part of a good community—with flexible, no-contract pricing—GMA is an easy recommendation. It’s a quality gym run by a quality instructor.

Louis is a great father, friend, and most importantly a brother to me. He takes the art of teaching to a whole new level. He takes his time to teach, and makes sure that you get better at each combo. He really works on trying to make you better inside and outside of the gym. His gym truly changes your life for the better.

Where do I even begin to describe my experience here at Gorilla Martial Arts not only has it changed my life for the better physically, highly recommended if you’re looking to loose some weight and have fun doing so. Also the gym has provided a second home and a space where I feel I can truly be myself and develop incredible relationships with the teammates I have now. There's no place in the world that can replicate the incredible family we are building at GMA and that’s all thanks to the incredible Coach and at times a second father in Luis Rodriguez. It’s hard to put into words how knowledgeable he is whether it’s on the feet or on the ground your technique will be sharp flat out, it just takes some consistency and some time.
