I had the pleasure of training at Gladiador BJJ in Bolingbrook, IL, while visiting the area, and I can’t recommend this academy highly enough. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the owners, Professor Gideon and his wife, Professor Amanda. Professor Gideon, a former UFC fighter, brings an incredible level of experience and skill to the academy, while Professor Amanda’s warmth and helpfulness made the experience even better. Their genuine friendliness and passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu set the tone for an inclusive and motivating environment. Professor Kamil led the classes with outstanding clarity and precision, ensuring that each technique was explained in a way that everyone could understand, regardless of experience level. His teaching style reflected both his expertise and his dedication to helping students improve. The facility itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, providing everything one could need for an optimal training experience. Gladiador BJJ clearly prioritizes a safe and welcoming atmosphere, making it a top choice for anyone looking to train in the Bolingbrook area. I look forward to visiting again!

My son has been enrolled at Gladiador Jiu Jitsu for over a year, and the experience has been remarkable. Since the moment we walked in to observe an initial class, we quickly found that the environment was amazing and the instructors were excellent and very committed to helping new students feel welcome and get involved in hands on learning right away. My son walked out completely hooked after doing his first arm bar during his first class. We also learned that the owners, Gideon and Amanda have truly created an unbelievable team and family environment that’s demonstrates their passion for martial arts and commitment to their membership. You will never meet two business owners who truly care about each and every student and are so dedicated to making the experience at their academy so beneficial for new and aspiring martial artists. Definitely recommend you check this out.

This is such an amazing gem in the south suburbs. I first came here 5 years ago briefly then moved away. I just joined again and they not only remembered me but made me feel so welcomed. This place has the special skill of making you feel like a friend from the moment you walk in the door. The professors are amazing and help each person individually as needed with in the class.

If there were a bjj club with a better value, I would already be going to it. Professor Gideon is not trying to run a club because he just really loves the sport; he has been professionally immersed in fighting arts for DECADES. Fighting, coaching and cornering. No wishful thinking. No maybes. This is his life, and he knows what works. He and Professor Amanda provide a warm, welcoming, and flexible training culture to match one's needs for competition, practical self defense or hobby.

The is a great place to train! I have been in an out of training due to work relocations and the best part of this gym are the community. Higher Ranks are more than happy to spar with you and don’t use that time to just beat you up for the sake of beating you up. This gym is also focused on realistic Jujitsu training. Some gyms I’ve gone too a very clearly competition based Jujitsu which is fine but I personally think there is a lot of value to be focusing on competitions when you have come coming up but also being aware of real life scenarios. Check it out if you are interested you will love it here.
