My daughter has been going to AMAA for a year now. Master Hong teaches great skills for developing strength, flexibility, speed, and balance. Taekwondo helped develop my daughter’s focus and confidence. She also made a lot of friends who have the same interests as her.

We absolutely love this martial arts school in Bolingbrook! From day one, we’ve felt welcomed and supported. The Master has such a great balance of discipline, kindness, and humor, making the classes both motivating and fun for the kids. You can tell they genuinely care about each student's growth, not just in martial arts but in building character and confidence.
The assistants are amazing, always encouraging the kids and cheering them on, which really helps boost their confidence and motivation. And I have to give a special mention to Miss Megan at the front desk, she’s such a sweet and kind young lady who always greets everyone with a warm smile. She makes everything run smoothly and is always happy to assist with any questions or needs we have as parents.
The facility is always clean and well-maintained, which is definitely appreciated. But most importantly, my child is excited to go to class, practice at home, and improve every day and that says a lot. We’re grateful to have found a place that not only teaches martial arts but also instills respect, discipline, and perseverance in such a positive environment. Highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a place where their child will thrive!

This facility is very hands-on with the students. They emphasize the importance of children learning respect, following directions, and taking on responsibilities.
Best decision we've ever made! I joined with my daughter in March 2024 and we continue to go to classes. She is learning so much, and her self confidence and discipline are greatly improved! Master Hong is a wonderful instructor!
I highly recommend AMAA to anyone looking to enroll their child in martial arts. My daughter did a trial and fell in love! She likes going there every time. Mr Hong is awesome and has really helped her build so much confidence!
This is an amazing experience for my son and my family. This has given my son confidence, focus and motivation. Very excited to move forward to the next level.
I can’t say enough great things about AMAA -Bolingbrook ! The instructors here are incredibly skilled, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching. They create an environment that’s both challenging and supportive, pushing each student to reach their potential while maintaining a focus on respect, discipline, and personal
The facilities are always clean and well-maintained, and they provide top-quality equipment for training. There’s also a strong sense of community—students and families are welcoming, and everyone is encouraged to support one another’s progress.
I highly recommend and if I could I would give more than 5 stars
AMMA is a great martial arts school! I highly recommend, the masters are amazing and the whole feeling when you enter the studio is positive. All trainings are great and they show incredible results in all tournaments. Awesome school, 10/10!
My son and I are really enjoying this class. Instructor really knows how to help his students maintain focus and discipline. Takes time to give individual 1-1 instructions. Makes everyone feel welcome. My son feels safe and included. My wife and I have have been benefitting with the added focus and discipline my son is gaining while in theis class.
Lots of planned events as well, including parents nights were the staff will watch kids and allow parents a night out by themselves.
Money and time well spent!!!
Kids are having fun. Parents also enjoy benefits.
It has been great!
My 2 daughters are very excited and we see our church members there as well. Great program, so happy the school came to Bolingbrook. We are looking forward to the many weeks ahead.
This place is just amazing. Your kids will develop a level of confidence they never had before and learn skills that will help them now and in the future.

If you are thinking about a Martial arts school, you should visit AMAA. Master An and his staff are expert instructors and so caring with children all of ages. They teach discipline while being patient and kind. I highly recommend AMAA.
This place is definitely wonderful for kids. Masters and Instructors are very great, motivating and friendly. They teach your kids not only martial arts but also how to respect others. Highly recommend.
Be careful of their “contract” we moved unexpectedly almost 20 miles away and they wouldn’t stop the payment. I couldn’t bring my son anymore due to being so far away. When trying to talk to them about it they stopped responding. Still paying monthly for it and my son hasn’t been there in over 7 months. This has stopped us being able to put him in something by our new home.
I have a few unanswered emails and communication stopped on your end.
I’m sure Master An is a great teacher to kids that are not special needs.
When I went to try out my son, prior to him starting, I explain that my son is Autistic with ADHD, so my long term goals for him would be to learn focus, learn to control his body movements and be more confident of himself.
My son lasted 15 minutes because he moved a lot, and when quiet instruction was given , he would basically throw himself down (fidget- part of autism). Master An told him multiple times to not do that and warned him- but again, it’s part of autism and ADHD. When he sent the kids to drink water, he guided my son to a seat and said with a pointed finger “ I warned you, when you decide to focus, you come see me”
I was literally in shock and didn’t know how to respond at first.
When I spoke to him about it later, he did apologize and offer to help my son with personal sessions; however, it’s too late at that point. He could’ve brought my son to me during break and said you know what, I don’t think this is going to work out, can you bring him in later or another day so I can offer him personal sessions. My son felt punished, my son has a medical diagnosis that states he can’t focus (he has meds for) - and Master An pointed at him and said “when you decide to focus”… that is not how you speak to a 7 year old autistic child, that has a medical diagnosis that says he can’t focus without meds- that I specifically explained prior to letting my son start the class.
Again, if your kid is NOT special needs, maybe this is a good area for you. But if your child is special needs, please ask them to see their certifications in assisting special needs kids
