My son who is 5 years old has a great experience with GKR Karate. He is not only learning pushes and kicks but also experiencing excellent life skills. He is also learning good values, be a better person, disciplined amd how to remain focussed. A big thank you to the entire GKR team!

My son really enjoys his karate classes at GKR Karate. The instructors are friendly, patient and encouraging, and I’ve seen a real improvement in his confidence, discipline and fitness. He looks forward to every lesson. Highly recommended!

We joined GKR Karate a couple of weeks ago, and we’re already seeing such a positive change in our son. He has become more disciplined, focused and confident, and we can see that he is really enjoying the sessions. The instructors are encouraging, patient and great with the children. It’s lovely to see him learning new skills while also developing confidence and self-discipline. It’s still early days, but we’re very happy with his progress so far and look forward to seeing him continue to grow through karate. Highly recommend GKR Karate! ⭐️

My son (7 yrs) has been attending GKR classes for the past 3 months or so and he really enjoys it. The classes are a really great way to build his confidence, coordination and focus. The quality of teaching is excellent - the instructors are very knowledgeable and all of them really make an effort to help and support beginners. He's learning the fundamentals well and I can see his discipline and ability is progressing. The teachers keep the lessons engaging even though there's quite a lot of repetition to get the basics right.

Sensei's in Marlow and High Wycombe are wonderful coaches, and great life examples for the children. They have contagious enthusiasm, real passion for karate, and support young learners every step on the way We are blessed with our Sensei's John and Nathan, and hope they will continue developing great skills in our children.

My 5-year-old son attends GKR Karate in Marlow, which is run by Sensei John Rowley, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From day one, everyone has been so welcoming and supportive, creating a real family atmosphere. It's wonderful to see people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities training together, encouraging one another and enjoying learning karate. Sensei John is fantastic with the children, making the classes fun while also teaching discipline, confidence and respect. My son genuinely looks forward to every lesson, and it's been great to see his confidence grow. I'd highly recommend GKR Karate Marlow to anyone looking for a friendly, inclusive and supportive karate club.

My 6yo daughter Fiorella started Karate last September and every week she is looking forward to go to the lessons. The Senseis and all the people are so friendly that is like you feeling home. Beside, the Karate level has been very high and it was very good to build her the confidence. Strongly recommended both kids and adult to join!

We are incredibly happy with this karate center and the positive impact it has had on our daughter. She recently earned her Orange Belt, and we could not be prouder of her progress. Since joining, she has become much more confident, disciplined, and focused both in and outside of class. The instructors are patient, supportive, and truly care about each student’s growth. They create a fun and encouraging environment while also teaching respect, perseverance, and self-control. Our daughter looks forward to every class and has developed not only new karate skills but also stronger self-esteem and determination. We highly recommend this karate center to any parent looking for a positive and empowering activity for their child.

AMAZING session today as we had the opportunity to meet the founder of GKR: Kancho Sullivan. What an inspirational man. Without him we wouldn’t have the family friendly format, the brilliant instructors and awesome facilities.

My son who is 14 and daughter who is 8 go to the Winchester karate. They both love it and enjoy it. Reason for 3 stars is because they are both due grading this Sunday which they are both very excited for and worked very hard for. However, not once was we told there is £35 charge! Paying £100 a month for them both to attend classes I was shocked to discover we have to pay extra for grading. I understand paying a little for the new belt but finding £70 (£35 each) is expensive. Then got told we have to travel from Winchester to reading for the grading which is a hour drive there. They should make this clear when signing up and not leaving it to last minute to tell us. Unfortunately for us, we have to pay this as our kids are super excited to be grading and want to carry this on. Other than the lack of communication on travel and costs on grading, the rest is brilliant on how the sensei are with the kids and teaching techniques.
