  A couple of months ago I traveled to the UK for work. I wanted to find a place close to my office to drop in and train. I live in California and I’ve been training for about a year consistently and didn’t want to lapse on my trip. I found Chris Cleere’s gym online and they allowed me to do a drop in class. Great experience! The guys were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. Chris’s instruction was also great and the guys I rolled with all felt technically sound. If I were local, this would be a place I’d be happy to call my gym.

Chris's knowledge and comprehension of BJJ rank amongst the best in the country. The members here are also an outstanding group who are as welcoming as they are friendly.   My son was 6 when he started with Chris Cleere, just over a year ago and his classes have been brilliant. My boy was really anxious, shy and apprehensive about joining in and getting started and Chris made him feel very welcome and calmly encouraged him. Since the initial trial and deciding to give BJJ a proper go my son has loved it and really enjoys Chris’ approach. He’s made some good friends too. The whole club at Marlow BJJ has a great vibe and the people there are very supportive and Chris really knows his stuff. I thoroughly recommend!

Chris is an inspirational instructor and leads the most friendliest group of people that I have met in a long time . Everyone was very welcoming and took away any initial fear that I had .   I have trained under Chris for the last 5 years. He is a brilliant and patient teacher with many years of authentic BJJ and martial arts experience. His classes are a great mix of learning, and then putting into practice. It’s physically tough, but very rewarding as you progress. It’s also worth noting that he’s built much more than just a club, he’s built a diverse community of likeable like-minded people. Come along!
