From The Ground Up School Of Wrestling is a 4000sqft wrestling facility run by head Coach, Gareth Harris in Leicester.
My lads been going to the school for last two years, absolutely loves it. All the trainers are brilliant with the children. The shows are brilliant for the whole family. Would definitely recommend.
Both myself and my 10 year old son have trained at FTGU for a number of years now, and I couldn't agree more with the other reviews when it comes to just how welcoming the school is. It's a delight to see my boy growing in confidence, and genuinely enjoying his training classes; so much so, I had to give it a try myself, even though I'm the wrong side of 40. Training with FTGU, and subsequently getting the opportunity to compete at live events, has been thoroughly enjoyable, and something which I never dreamed of experiencing at this stage in my life. All I can say is, if it's something that appeals to you in the slightest, give FTGU a try. You'll be in safe hands, and you won't be disappointed.
Ftgu is a great place to train if you want to learn to wreslte with gareth being a British wrestler he knows alot and will teach you alot of great things, really recommend!
The best place for personal fitness, support and a full team that continue to break your limits. I arrived at FTGU unfit, lacking confidence and not having stuck to a sport. Now I have something that I am proud to share with friends and colleagues. If you need a place to come try out a sport, FTGU is the primary destination in Leicester. The coaching team have trained some of the best local talent, as well as on screen actors.
I've trained at FTGU for over 5 years and would recommend no other school if you are wanting to pursue your dream of learning the craft of professional wrestling. You are trained in a safe, friendly environment amongst the best coaches in the country. Training sessions are pretty much every day and flexible. The head coach Gareth is very experienced but also a great person. 5 stars and would highly recommend!
Very welcoming and friendly- my daughter has been going there for bout 6 month and now attends 2 class a week - my 7yr old son has just took his first class. They make everyone feel welcome and involved
Training with Gareth at FTGU has been such a great experience. He knows the craft inside out, but what makes the difference is how patient and supportive he is with everyone, no matter their level. Classes are a perfect mix of learning the basics, building confidence, and just having fun. The atmosphere is super welcoming, and you can tell Gareth genuinely cares about helping each person improve.
I've been training at FTGU for over a year now and I honestly couldn't recommend it enough. Gareth, the owner, is incredibly passionate for the industry and a wealth of knowledge for coaching. Not only that, but the school puts on incredible shows using in-house talent at a real value for money. Importantly, the focus at the school is on safety. At every session, safety is paramount and no one is pressured to do anything they don't feel comfortable doing. If you want to LEARN how to be a professional wrestler, how to do it for a long time, and be successful too, then you'd be hard pressed to do better than here.
I started training at FTGU over 3 years ago and i can say it is the best place to train if your looking to get into professional wrestling the way Gareth and the coaches teach in a fun safe environment but also whilst making sure you understand the key bits is like nothing you will get elsewhere. Since starting training here my confidence has improved massively and its all down to Gareth and the coaches. If you’re looking for somewhere to start your wrestling journey or shake off some ring rust FTGU is the best place to go in the country
