Great place that I trained at for a while and was my first experience with martial arts. Very inviting atmosphere and also very beginner friendly. I also liked the variety of classes including kickboxing, jiujitsu, and MMA. Also everyone there is very chill and friendly
Great place to go to. Great community. Learning a lot from coach quinn. Great facility. And offer a wide variety of classes. Glad I started going here.
I have been at FightCraft for over a year now and have had a great experience. I also have a child in the kids classes and David the kickboxing Coach along with Coach Pat are phenomenal. I can say the same thing about Lian and Marissa the Jiujitsu Coaches. This entire coaching team is amazing, patient, and work well with children. The gym is a great place to fitness and build community. No matter your skill level you are always welcome both adults and children. Aside from the fitness aspect one of the things I love is that they give back to the community. During the Holiday Season they encouraged the community it to volunteer and collected gently used items as well as gifts to give to those in need. I personally have been to many fight gyms across the Bay Area and have never been to one that focuses on giving back to the community they are located in. Give it a try!
I have been a member for over 7 years now, and I can honestly say that it has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. Not only have they helped me become a better martial artist, but they have also helped me become a better person overall.
Being a part of Fightcraft has opened doors for me that I never thought I could open. I have had the opportunity to compete in tournaments, attend seminars with world-renowned martial artists, and even become an instructor myself.
The most significant aspect of being a member is the sense of family and community that it provides. The trainers and members have become like a second family to me, always there to support, encourage, and push me to be the best version of myself. The camaraderie and sense of belonging that I feel when I walk through the doors of the gym are truly invaluable and make all the hard work and sweat worth it.
Overall, I am incredibly grateful for everything Fightcraft has done for me. I cannot imagine where I would be without them and I look forward to many more years of growth and success with this amazing gym!
Everyone at this ninja school is awesome the students and the teacher the coaches and the water boys are always arriving when you need a drink.
You will make friend and learn the skills you always wanted to learn w a great atmosphere that makes it so much fun !!
A big plus to my ladie ninjas. Lian & Marissa
FightCraft has Been such an amazing gym! The overall experience and vibe has been amazing since the day I walked in! I have been going to FightCraft for over two years and I couldn’t say enough good things about all the coaches and staff! My Jiu jitsu coach Lucas is such a great caring coach and is always there every step of the way whether it be on the mats or out in competition!! He has taught me so much. The kids jiu jitsu coaches Marissa and Lian are amazing Female coaches which are also my teammates! Not only is Marissa such an amazing coach but she is such a wonderful student, always willing to help out everyone especially anyone that’s new to Jiu jitsu! She makes you feel right at home! I couldn’t appreciate her enough! The staff and coaches are always so accommodating and helpful in all situations whether it be ! They are like family! I highly recommend FightCraft!
Fightcraft is a great place to train martial arts! Great for all comer regardless of experience. Offering multiple styles and class times. Friendly and easy to work with coaches, great community of people to learn from and work with, and very spacious with multiple restrooms and shower room. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn and try something new in the San Jose area!
Fightcraft is been the best place to be on my evenings. Since October 2023 is been my place to rest the mind. I have the best time learning moves with BJJ coach Lucas. Kickboxing folks are incredible too! I also feel respected when I am around everybody there and made great friends. For sure I would recommend any of my friends to come train with us!
Fightcraft is a great place to release some stress after a long day at work. The gym is welcoming and provides classes to learn every aspect of mma. Whether you want to learn self defense or get a good sweat in, you’ll find what you are looking for at Fightcraft.
For people that want to take the sport more seriously, sparring is available and your health is taken seriously. Elbow pads and knee pads are required to spar. If you are interested in competition, Pat makes sure you are prepared before you are allowed to fight.
The staff has also been flexible and understanding of special occasions when it comes to billing.
Overall, I can only speak for myself, but my experience has been very positive. Also, while I haven’t done a lot of BJJ classes, I heard a lot of good things about coach Lucas. He’s been very good when he covered our wrestling/mma classes.
Special shout out to Pat, Carlos, Quin, Veronica, Pricilla, and David. All good people if you have questions or need help with anything
Awesome place to train & workout. I've been there for about 1 year and a half. I can see a huge improvement in my fitness and confidence. I particularly like the Thai Pad sessions, come improve your stamina!
Coaches are some of the nicest people you can meet with coach patrick teaching kickboxing and is very understanding and also with coach quinn teaching muay thai and teaching good form and eliminating bad habits
had no experience on grappling or striking till I came here, everyone is supportive and helpful through your journey and always makes the classes amazing to always come back!
Place has been amazing to me , best gym in San Jose hands down coach pat and josh are great brought my little nephew which is 9 years old and he had a blast in the kids class with coach pat and David
Been with Fightcraft for 5 years now and this review is a long time coming. Fightcraft has been an incredible part of my martial arts journey. Coach Pat and Coach Josh are nothing short of amazing—they are not only skilled and knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in helping each person grow. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're welcomed into an environment that's both supportive and challenging.
Their guidance has been transformative for me, and I’ve seen them do the same for everyone else who trains here. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, I cannot recommend Fightcraft enough. If you're thinking about joining, don't hesitate—it might just change your life as it has mine!
Fight Craft has been amazing for my son, Marcus! He has grown so much and learned a lot of disciplined and techniques that will benefit him throughout his life. Coach David and Coach Patrick have been great mentors to my son and the rest of the kids. They are great role models and my son looks forward to being like them when he grows up. I enjoy watching my son at Fight Craft and will continue this great journey for years to come…
FightCraft has felt like home since day 1 of walking through the infamous orange door, and I haven’t looked back since. I was on the search for a new gym to train at, and I looked up some reviews and made some calls to see which place would be the best fit for me and my schedule. The ease of scheduling my trial class with Fightcraft is what brought me in, and the supportive coaches and the tight-knit community they have cultivated is the reason why I’ve chosen to remain a member and part of the Fightcraft family for over a year and counting.
Fightcraft is one of the few, if not only, martial arts gyms that is open 7-days a week with plenty of classes to choose from all throughout the day, ranging from early morning, midday, and evening classes. Not only do they have a wide range of class times, Fightcraft is also a well-rounded mixed martial arts gym as well. They offer striking classes (kickboxing/Muay Thai) and grappling classes such as BJJ (gi and nogi). Lastly, there are classes for all ages and skill levels, ranging from beginners to competitors. One of best things about Fightcraft is that no matter your skill level, all of the coaches and members are very encouraging and supportive in your personal martial arts journey.
All of the coaches are super knowledgeable and keep classes fun and enjoyable, all while getting your heart rate up and learning new skills. Shout out to coach Pat for being an amazing striking coach who has taught me so much and elevated my striking game and footwork in just one year of training under him; coach David teaches the kids kickboxing classes and keeps things fun and lighthearted for the young martial artists, all while teaching them fundamental striking skills and the importance of discipline on and off the mat; coaches Marissa and Lian teach the kids BJJ and help the young ones elevate their grappling game; and all the rest of the amazing coaches at Fightcraft that continue to pour into their students. If you are looking for a place to begin your martial arts journey or a new gym to train at, Fightcraft is the place to be :)
Joined FightCraft after the covid lock down late 2022. The coaches and members treats everyone equally here and there is no sense of favoritism. There are morning classes to late classes so you pick which time of the day you want to attend class at. Ive made plenty of friends here especially David being someone whos so open to everyone. He helped me out alot with any questions i had when i first joined.
I have loved my experience in Fight Craft, specifically the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. Coach Lucas is very friendly and welcomes you with open arms. He takes his time explaining every technique. He pushes his students hard during class to get the best out of them. The training partners are also very good and respectful. Overall great experience with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program.
I joined here a few months ago and can say that it was one of the best decisions I made! The community is amazing and the coaches always makes sure you feel welcomed and supported. They teach a variety of classes such as kickboxing, muay thai, jujitsu, etc. If you are looking for a gym whether your a beginner or experienced then I highly recommend Fightcraft. Membership fees are reasonable and you can always upgrade whenever you want. Coach Pat and Coach Quinn are both great people I’ve been able to work with but it seems that all their coaches are really professional and experienced in their ability to coach and to teach. If you’re not sure about joining then I also recommend trying the free one day course to feel it out.
Great community, amazing coaches at a large and clean facility. This gym truly cares about each and every student that joins and helps track progress as well as understanding what each person wants to accomplish
I’m truly grateful for FightCraft, I started with a free trial and I was hooked. The atmosphere and the community is unmatched. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, especially the coaches.
Shoutout to Coach Lucas for helping me discover my passion for BJJ. Started as a hobby and turned something that I do daily. Muy Thai, Jiu Jitsu, MMA, FightCraft got it all! Highly recommended it!
Joining FightCraft has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I owe a huge part of that to the incredible BJJ coach, Lucas Costa. Lucas isn’t just a phenomenal teacher—he’s someone who truly inspires passion for jiujitsu. His teaching style is clear, detailed, and approachable, which made learning the art of jiujitsu both enjoyable and rewarding.
Thanks to Lucas, I’ve found a lifelong hobby that I genuinely love. His guidance has not only improved my skills on the mat but has also helped me build confidence in my daily life. I now walk the streets with a sense of assurance and calm, instead of paranoia.
Beyond the technical skills, FightCraft has introduced me to an amazing community. The people I’ve met here have become more than training partners—they’ve become friends. The gym is welcoming, supportive, and filled with like-minded individuals who push each other to grow.
Thank you, Lucas, for your dedication and for sparking this lifelong journey. FightCraft isn’t just a gym—it’s a second home. I can’t recommend it highly enough to anyone looking to train, grow, and be part of something special.
I wasn’t expecting much switching over to a new gym until I tried out a BJJ class. The instructor was Coach Lucas and he was super helpful when training. He made my experience at Fightcraft amazing and I instantly signed up.
FightCraft is an amazing gym with a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch training. Coach Lucas is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and motivating. He takes the time to help everyone improve, no matter their skill level. I’ve learned so much and feel stronger and more confident every day. Highly recommend FightCraft for anyone looking to train martial arts!
Coach Marissa and Coach Lian are amazing at what they do. Not only are they always kind, happy, knowledgeable, they are also very patient with their students. They teach the kiddos to respect each other, take care of each other and help each other learn in their Jiu Jitsu journey. I strongly recommend their kids jiu jitsu class to any young ones looking to learn discipline, team work and motivation.
Came into FightCraft originally when trying out all the other gyms in San Jose to train at. In my experience training here for the last few months I can say it’s always a welcoming and friendly environment when I come in to train. Coach Lucas pushes us to work harder and always encourages us to keep showing up in order to get better. You’re free to go train at any of the bay areas many different mma gyms but if you’re looking to actually see a difference in your skill level and get better all around standing and ground game, try FightCraft.
Came to FightCraft from another gym and quickly noticed how profesional the gym is, the people are great and the coaches are top tier, shoutout coach Lucas for his professionalism and great teaching!
Been going to the gym for about 3 months now. I used to train over 10 years ago and being back in a gym with this great of a culture and high level coaches is amazing. Great people great staff great coaches great team. Everyone is super nice and friendly and always focused on progressing and getting better. No big egos here. No hidden fees or weird gym membership issues either. Best gym in San Jose. Shoutout to Coach Pat and Coach Quinn for the kickboxing and Muay Thai knowledge. Shoutout David - does some great media and videography for the gym.
My partner trains at Fightcraft, and he's able to take our kids along, which is super convenient with our busy/different schedules. The gym is really family-friendly and actually encourages parents to bring their little ones, so you don’t have to skip a class just because you have kids. The staff is always super nice and welcoming, and the bathrooms are really clean, which is definitely a bonus. They also organize a few events that bring gym families together or help raise money for causes they care about. I totally recommend checking out Fightcraft, giving a class a try, and just soaking in the good vibes from the coaches and staff. You won’t regret it!

Es un lugar muy amigable, enseñan bien y se aprende rápidamente, las personas son muy amables y cariñosas
A multitude of injuries kept me from training for years. I was steadily gaining a ridiculous amount of weight and was on the verge of becoming bid ridden. Coming to FightCraft was the best thing I could have done for my overall health. The coaches will challenge you without making you feel inadequate and the students have been incredibly supportive in my journey to getting my health back in order.
Came in one day to tour the place and ended up taking a sparring class that day and I loved it.
They have a beginners program meant to teach you the basics which not all places do. The classes are meant to be challenging enough to push you to get better and want to get better all while learning fighting techniques that you can apply in competitions. Coach Pat has helped me improve so much this past year, and made me feel more confident in myself as I tend to doubt my abilities. In class he is good at motivating all those around them and helping them grow but still making classes fun. Once in a while he will do classes along side the rest of us. He was just once a student who took classes and now he is coach and mentor doesn’t get more inspiring than that.
The gym offers different levels of classes and many classes during the week that make it so that you can make classes in the mornings, evenings and even mid day. The coaches know everyone’s names and the people make it feel like community. The upper belts are always nice helping when help is needed.
The owner Josh not only a great sense of humor but is passionate about the content being taught. He is consistently walking around making sure that everyone is understanding the technique and if they he’s taking time to help students out.
They also offer BJJ classes with coach Elias in the mornings and evenings. From beginners to purple belts he shapes the classes so it’s split to fit everyone’s needs. He leads by example, a coach that competes and empowers his students to do the same all while being friendly and welcoming whether it’s your first time, or you fell off, or your experienced. Definitely try his class at least once you won’t regret it. He might just come to kickboxing classes and personally invite those who haven’t.
Lastly, they have a place to put your bag, a place for you to put your water and shoes, 2 bathrooms and a shower that’s separate from the bathrooms which makes it easy if you need to shower and go to work. The mats get cleaned every day and they preach cleanliness.
So if you made it this far you have to go take a class or at least a tour of the gym.
I honestly love my coaches at FightCraft . I've been a long time fighter . They have elevated my toolbox . I've learned so much in a year . I'm getting another level of Fight Craft. Can't wait to showcase my new skills. All IN
Wonderful facility and coaches. From the moment I walked in for the first time, I felt like I was apart of a large family. Classes aren’t just your average cardio kickboxing classes, they are in-depth and filled with purpose.
Josh and Patrick stick to a well-rounded Muay Thai system that capitalizes on snappy precision, dynamic footwork, and active weight transfer.
Aside from kickboxing, FightCraft’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is second to none. The classes are beginner friendly, and heavily emphasize on purpose and technique.
Elias, a knowledgeable and approachable coach, ensures that everyone understands the fundamentals of BJJ. He sometimes implements wrestling as well to capitalize on stand-up situations.
All in all, FightCraft is a fun, engaging, and beneficial gym. Come here if you want to learn, put in the work, and be apart of likeminded community.

Really good, instructive and interactive classes. Always finish classes with a smile.
Was traveling through the area and dropped in for a BJJ class. Everyone was welcoming and the class structure was split well for both beginners and more advanced students. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
Highly recommend! This training facility it is the truth! They offer more then just training! They offer meal plans weekly challenges. And your coach will be available for any questions, concerns or overall advice! I love the atmosphere here being apart of the family! Since that’s what this gym feels like!!
Honestly- This training facility gave me so much confidence and self esteem. I was always looking something to be apart of. And I can honestly say I found it here! Thank you team FightCraft!!
Joseph Diaz
Josh and the Fightcraft team have done a great job of having group classes and 1:1 training where you get an awesome workout and learn MMA fundamentals.
I’ve been working with Josh (owner) for a few years now and he is very kind and passionate about teaching MMA fundamentals for anyone and everyone!
Facility is clean and spacious!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I've been coming to FightCraft for a few months now and it's been great! I was looking for Muay Thai/Kickboxing classes that weren't purely just a cardio workout (harder to find than you think) and this was a perfect match! I've already learned a lot technically and I know theres so much more to learn. Technique is a huge part of each class and that also includes cardio stamina.
The coaches (Josh and Pat) are fantastic. They're welcoming and hilarious in their own right, but they get down to business. It's obvious they want you to learn and improve with each class, and the classes are formatted in a way that allows them to do that on an individual level.
The community of people is great. You'll find yourself in classes that have varying levels of fighters and everyone is supportive, kind, willing to teach, and friendly. Just a bunch of people together who want to have fun and learn.
The academy is also incredibly clean and well maintained. Fear not of the dreaded feet smell that you might know a little too well in typical dojos/gyms.
I'm excited to what I can accomplish here moving forward.
Been going here for about 3 months and I love this place. I went in as someone with no fighting experience and was intimidated of a MMA gym but the coaches do a very good job of making it easy to hop on the mat and start learning. You get to choose classes to fit your personal schedule and the people there are so friendly and welcoming.
Great gym!
Friendly and encouraging environment that makes it easy to get into fighting as long as you're willing to take criticism and put in the work.
Cool place!
FIGHTCRAFT is an absolutely amazing gym, with amazing staff/coaches to match. From the moment you walk-in the door you know there is something special about this place. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and passionate about wanting you to learn the craft correctly and efficiently. They teach everything from Bang Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, MMA, sparring, pad-work, kids classes, beginner classes, intermediate class, and everything in-between and also they offer classes at all times of the day so you should always be able to find something that will work with your schedule. And lastly, this is by far the cleanest and nicest looking martial arts gym I have ever come across. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
FightCraft is an amazing gym with a positive and professional environment. The coaches and community at the gym are some of the main reasons I enjoy going so much. I came into FightCraft with no prior martial arts experience a few months ago and I have learned so much in this short time. The coaches take time with all the students to focus on how to improve technique and find holes in our form. If you are on the fence on getting into martial arts I would highly recommend coming in and giving FightCraft a chance. I have gained confidence in myself and also have been inspired by others to continue my kickboxing journey.
My first time going a martial arts studio and I didn’t know what to expect. I did find a super cool community of people at Fightcraft. They accommodate all skill levels and also have classes for more advanced training. The coaches are always on point and the friendships developed are priceless. Classes in the evening help for those with full time jobs.
The members and coaches of this facility were super friendly from the get go. I was looking for a place with a curriculum where I can improve my striking and footwork, within weeks I've already seen improvements. I also do the jiu jitsu program there which is just great. Lots of learning and great people to roll with. I would recommend for any level!
I have been training with FightCraft for about 5 weeks now. My overall experience has been great. They provide a lot of resources and genuinely care. I would definitely recommend!
This is a fantastic gym for learning a wide range of legitimate fighting techniques and getting a great work out. The instructors are all first class and do a great job of keeping the classes challenging and fun. The gym has a friendly and welcoming community of students that made it easy for me to transition into the program as a beginner.
This place is fantastic. As a newb, I found the coaches (Josh & Dakota) very patient and attentive. On top of that, everyone here is very friendly, regardless of skill level. Despite my traumatising grade school recess past, I’ve so far have not had any issues finding a partner! Best of all, my belly is shrinking and my hips are moving in ways I’ve only seen in movies. Sweetness!
Great learning environment, knowledgeable and helpful coaches, and overall great training partners. Jiu jitsu is 4 days a week, and you can often stay later to roll extra after classes. From advanced students to beginners, everyone fits in somewhere.
I started training at fightcraft a little over three months ago with zero experience in striking and I love it. Josh and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable and are always there to help. They offer lessons in Muay Thai, jujitsu and mma. The environment is very clean and friendly, I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to get in shape or wanting to sharpen their skills.
Great place to get a workout in (don’t come in a full stomach lol), been at it for 2 months and have learned a great deal, peers push you to give your best, coaches answer all your questions and are very attentive on developing your skills every class !
Great training and great coaches! Coming from no experience in fighting I’ve learned so much since joining. The coaches here are so patient and they really help you achieve whatever goal you have coming in. Its helped me grow so much and I’m absolutely glad I decided to sign up. Don’t hesitate :)
I’ve been training at FightCraft since the summer of 2019. The class schedule is very accommodating for those who come from all walks of life. From morning to night classes, a solid mix of dutch kickboxing inspired Muay Thai, western style boxing with a kickboxing flair, Brazilian jiu jitsu, wrestling, as-well as grappling and striking geared for MMA, FightCraft has everything you need whether you have aspirations to compete or just want an insane workout. They even have a mobile app that makes viewing the schedule and signing up for classes super easy. All the coaches are incredible and push you to reach your potential.
As an introvert who works a high stress medical career I value and look forward to my time at Fightcraft, it has by now become a lifestyle. The various classes during the week make it easy for me to attend around my work schedule.
I am in the best shape I've ever been all while nurturing my mental and physical wellbeing. Yes, it was a bit intimidating at first but EVERYONE is so welcoming and willing to help. Honestly, this turned out to be the best way to step out of my comfort zone and surround myself with friends that bring nothing but positivity into my life.
Came to watch my buddy's Muay Thai class, and decided to sign up for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as my first (free) class. Overall looks impressive, inclusive, and effective with highly competent instructors. Can't wait to give it a try.
Whether you've never done Muay Thai or BJJ or MMA before, or you've been doing it for 10 years, Fightcraft welcomes you with open arms. They focus on MMA-style Muay Thai and BJJ (and if you don't know what that means, come stop by for a free trial!) There are classes focusing on Muay Thai technique and sparring, punching bags, boxing, wrestling, MMA, Gi and no-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and they're always looking to expand their services.
I've been coming here since summer of 2018; I moved back from SoCal and was looking for a home gym to continue practicing Muay Thai and start BJJ. This was the 10th gym I visited, and I decided to stay because of the programs they provided, the quality of teaching, the coaches who want to invest in you, and the focus on technique. Plus the coaches encouraged me to grow into a better practitioner and fighter instead of forcing me into a box.
Fightcraft might not be a perfect gym, but Coach Josh, Coach Murphy, and the staff are all passionate about the art of MMA and are willing to invest their energy and time to become better for the sake of the students' growth. The greatest value I found here was the potential for Fightcraft, not to be a good gym, but a great gym.
Come by if you haven't already :) We don't bite ... we only punch!
Everyone is super nice and welcoming! Staff is helpful and constructive without making you feel bad for not understanding something. The gym itself is clean and spacious. Overall good place to get a work out in. There are not many women who join class, but for the ones who would like to try, I felt very safe and not intimidated by anyone. The learning concept and getting a good work out in is the main focus!
The coaches are Knowledgeable and interactive. I had fun and got a great work out training In a group oriented atmosphere with a mix of students of different ranks. All the veteran students were really helpful and patient as well and good motivators. Theres also a small weight room and a single shower room. I recommend this gym for the great coaches that do their best to make sure that you always make time to go to a class!
This is an awesome mixed martial arts gym. They cater to any experience and fitness level. What is amazing is that you can train in Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing and then tie it all together with MMA. They have many coaches and many classes that make it easy to find time to fit it into your schedule. In addition to a great experience in the gym you also get online access to videos to expand your knowledge off the mat, to better prepare you for your next class! I highly recommend this place and hope to see you there!
Fightcraft is simply an amazing gym. The Muay Thai system they developed here is deep yet intuitive. The coaches are top notch and they all have great attention to detail in regards to your technique so make sure you come in sharp! Fightcraft boasts a wide variety of classes to take as well (MMA, Jiujitsu, Wrestling, etc.). I have tried a couple MMA classes in addition to Muay Thai and it's probably the most intense training I've ever experienced. The best thing thing about gym is the community. There's always a solid, fun crowd here and they are all very supportive even while punching you in the face. Very grateful to be able to train here, worth every penny.
tldr: excellent gym, give them your money.
FightCraft is such a family oriented organization. Loved the 6 week program, coaches were amazing! This place is for anyone, beginners or advanced. They help you through the whole program and stay on you so that you don’t give up. Love it here 👍🏼
Walking into Fight Craft for the first time felt very welcoming. Having trained there for a little while now, I can see the effort that is placed in providing a quality environment that allows me to be comfortable when I feel out of place or intimidated by the more experienced people. I can see myself growing with the team at Fightcraft and improving my mental and physical well-being alongside with them. I highly recommend it by the way!
I am enjoying every bit of this Lifestyle! Being an ex-athlete, coach & having high energy; Fightcraft is the perfect home for me to release & refuel! I also love the fact that all of the classes that this studio has to offer literally teaches individuals how to protect themselves! Stay winning all day. THANK YoU Fightcraft!!!

A MI HIJO LE GUSTA MUCHO ENTRENAR EN ESTE LUGAR , DESDE EL PRIMER DIA SUPE QUE ERA EL LUGAR CORRECTO , APROVECHAN TODA LA CLASE , LOS COUCHES Y TODO EL STAFF TE ECHAN LA MANO LES RECOMIENDO MUCHO ESTE GYM , SI LE SACAS PROVECHO A TU INVERSION DE DINERO Y TIEMPO !!!!! VEN Y COMPRUEBALO TU MISMO
Had my first class today with Coach Aaron (7:30pm power class) got a good sweat and had a lot of fun, the hour went by super fast because of how much work we got in. It’s cool because you get to meet new people who are supportive and help you learn/have fun. Ready to check out more classes after today’s. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for something more exciting than a regular gym.
Whether you're new to martial arts or a seasoned vet, Bang Muay Thai will definitely challenge you. They have several classes throughout the day to accommodate those with a hectic schedule like myself. My only regret is not joining sooner. Everyone is friendly, and the all the instructors are top notch. Shout out to Coach Aaron yee!
Loved this place. Solid staff and attentive to beginners. This is something that should be more common. Almost as common as regular gyms and health clubs. Great workout and very useful self defense skills.
I have been going too this dojo pretty religiously for about 7-8 months. It was my first formal martial arts training outside of traditional karate and MMA from a local community college. I was going to start shopping for a gym to call a new home. Bang Muay Thai/San Jose Kickboxing, was the first place I tried out and it was also my last. After a couple sessions I immediately took too the curriculum, the coaches, and the team. The coaches can be serious at times because they want the best out of all of us but they also know how to cut loose and have fun while training.
The system may not be beginner orientated at first glance but the coaches do an excellent job of breaking down the techniques and material so it’s easier to digest. I also think their time management and pacing is impeccable for each class; plenty of time to warm up, learn a the techniques, work out the kinks, and break a sweat all within a perfect hour. The more veteran students are also extremely friendly and welcoming and won’t hesitate to help explain a technique further.
The dojo may be of a modest size but it’s actually to it’s benefit. It has a homey atmosphere which promotes a family friendly and team atmosphere. Bang Muay Thai SJ has added a ton more classes and brought in more training equipment to make the people who train there more well rounded martial artist or even fighters; if that’s what you’re looking to do. You can tell the staff really cares about the success of the dojo and everybody who trains there.
At least once a class I share a good laugh with the other gym members, I leave sweaty and tired, and my brain full; but I can feel myself getting better and better every day.
Thank you BMT SJ. OSU

Been going to this gym for almost two months now and I already see myself improving in both ground and standup. You can really progress fast in this system if you are dedicated and put in hard work. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and patient and will get the best out of you. The classes are perfect for a good workout and for training and improving your martial arts. OSS
This is a great place to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Coach Murph is one of the best if not the best BJJ coach around. Everybody is so friendly and helpful and you learn a lot of practical self defense. The competition team ,“MURPHJITSU” , is legit and they do extremely well in high level competitions all over!
I am thankful and proud to be a part of this martial arts family! Osss!
*Update- I just started taking the striking classes and enjoy it a ton. Coach Josh and his team are amazing! Awesome drills and the energy is great!
High level instructors and drilling. This is the place to go if you want to learn the striking system of Duane Ludwig - actual Muay Thai! I decided to cross train between two gyms so I can get the best training for my striking. A big thank you to coaches Josh, Darren and Patrick!
Excellent family friendly facility as well as instruction for all levels and and all ages. Josh is a great teacher who is able to explain complex moves in an easy to understand way. I would recommend this place to anyone who is trying to sharpen their techniques or just get in shape.
Great gym for all levels of experience. Family friendly atmosphere & great coaches who are attentive and really want to see you progress and get better. Whether you're looking to compete or just get into great shape, Bang Muay Thai San Jose is the place to be. They also offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes taught by Coach Murph. Don't be scared, come try out a class!
Bas Rutten’s striking system(Bang Muay Thai) is fun and effective and the team of instructors are very in-depth and knowledgeable when explaining the combinations and techniques. It is a very friendly atmosphere as well.
This place is awesome! The environment is very laid back and the people are great. I had no prior striking experience before my first class but that was no problem at all. Coach Josh broke everything down so it was easy for me to pick up on things quickly! Whether you're goal is competition or just having fun and getting in shape I would HIGHLY recommend this place!
