I have not met the owner in person but just merely inquiring about setting up a trial class for my son was met with quick responses, flexibility and obvious love for what he does and his desire to share hisbpassion with others. I can not wait to start this journey with my son. Will update I'm sure on how amazing my in-person experience will be with my son as after speaking with Mr. Ferro I got nothing but good vibes.

My son and my husband have been training at Ferro Academy for years. It's a great gym, everyone is very friendly. The kids classes are great. I recommend anyone interested in checking out jujitsu come in and try a class.

My family and I have been training at Ferro Academy for a couple years, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and supportive. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and dedicated to helping students improve, no matter their skill level. The classes are well-structured, with a perfect mix of technique drills, live rolling, and conditioning. What I love most is the focus on fundamentals with a healthy mix of advanced technique. They’re always there to provide feedback and ensure you’re progressing. The community at Ferro Academy is one of the best parts. It’s a tight-knit group where everyone, from white belts to black belts, trains with respect and camaraderie. There’s a real emphasis on building each other up, and I’ve made some great friendships along the way.

The professor is super patient. Even when I'm struggling with a technique that we've gone over countless times, he has no issue in explaining it to me again. He's a great teacher and incredibly good with students. I 100% recommend this gym for jiu jitsu

I recently visited Professor Ferro’s jiu jitsu academy while I was in Chicago, and it was an incredible experience. Professor Ferro was exceptionally welcoming, and the gym environment was fantastic. The people were friendly and made me feel comfortable training there. Professor Ferro is a high-level competitor, as I found out, and he led amazing classes for every level. I learned so much during my time in Chicago. Highly recommended jiu jitsu school in Chicago!

I don't know how I have belonged to the Academy for so long and haven't left a review, but it's an amazing academy! Extremely knowledgeable professor (Combat Veteran) and instructors, very personable and observant on training. Whether you're looking for a past time to enjoy or to seriously compete this place can take care of you. Not to mention the group of students are all extremely nice and welcoming. 15/10 would recommend

This is a great place to start at any level. Professional, well maintained and friendly environment. Professor Ferro is quite dedicated to the academy and nourishes students by providing constructive feedback and let everyone progress at their own pace. Multiple talented professors are available during the weekdays and the academy is open 7 days a week for students to practice and excel on weekends. Professor Ferro also paves platform to participate in seminars and competitions. My experience at this place has been wonderful and feel a sense of belonging. Everyone is supportive and has a healthy competitive spirit. I can recommend this place with great confidence.

I recently joined Ferro academy and am so satisfied with my decision. I was interested in doing jiu jitsu for awhile but often talked myself out of it because I thought it was intimidating and I wasn’t sure if anyone would have patience with me since I’m new. However, I was completely wrong! Professor Ferro was so welcoming, kind, informative, and patient. All my negative thoughts left as I walked through those doors. Professor Ferro takes his time to explain everything thoroughly and gives plenty of demonstrations and time for you to practice the drills that he just showed. All of my classmates are so nice and helpful as well! Great environment and great people!!

What a great gym. I've train and a few different gyms over years and I can honestly say that thia gym has it all. The instructions is great. The skill level of the everyone that trains is so broad. You have brand new people with no experience to people with years of experience and then a whole lot of people in the middle. Everyone is super friendly including the instructors. You will be welcomed with open arms. There are no egos here. Everyone is extremely encouraging to one another. Whether you are just starting out or have been training for years and are looking for a new place to train I promise you won't regret. Also there are variety of classes to attend to so it works with most peopels schedules.

Good mix of competitive individuals and those that just want to stay in shape. His prices are ridiculously low too and the gym gi he sells was super high quality from Top Mount.

The experience I have had at Ferro academy has been nothing less than amazing. Having trained with multiple different coaches and gyms this has by far been the best out of them all. Not only does professor Anthony genuinely care about his students, he thrives off giving his students all of his knowledge to make sure they succeed. Very beginner friendly to the point where you can know absolutey nothing about Martial Arts and you will still have an amazing time. All of the student are very welcoming and were more than happy to welcome me into their school with open arms. Highly recommend trying it out for an improved lifestyle all around.

As of today I’ve been training under Professor Ferro for about 2 years. It’s hard to put experiences into words. I can describe how being there makes me feel. When I walk through the door I feel safe. As if I won’t be judged for my past or shortcoming. Instead I feel uplifted. That family environment where its ok to have a bad day and my brothers and sisters are there for me no matter what. There are no expectations only encouragements. I’ve been many places and this is hard to find. That being said, I’m having the time of my life there. My wife, son and I train there. This place is truly something special.

I have trained under Professor Ferro for about 2 years and even though this academy has only been open for a little under 7 months, I moved with him because he gained my loyalty from facilitating a very friendly yet engaging learning environment. The number of students have grown exponentially and the sky is the limit for this school. I got into Jiu Jitsu for self defense but fell in love with the sport, the technical details behind controlling another person. and all that it gave me that traditional fitness couldn’t. Lifting 40 pound dumbbells (weight training in general) just wasn’t enough and I needed more practicality in my fitness; Jiu Jitsu was my answer to it. Jiu Jitsu has not only given me the confidence to trust my own abilities in any sort of altercation, but it has helped me tackle my day to day stresses with composure and a confidence I was lacking. Jiu Jitsu isn’t just a style of combat as many people seem to believe; it’s a way of life. Training at Ferro Academy will be one of the better investments an individual can make. Training here will not only help you achieve your fitness goals, but will facilitate success and growth in all other aspects of your life.

I have been training with Professor Anthony Ferro since March 2017 and can say two things that have stuck most with me: 1. From your first days with Professor Ferro you learn more advanced techniques than you'll learn in years at other martial arts schools & 2. Ferro Academy has more of a family feel to it that everyone who walks in is welcomed and enjoys being there. Even if you're having a bad day, at the end of the day you can head into the gym and instantly fix your mood.
