Strong group for every level. Chill welcoming atmosphere but everyone is focused on business. The Professor has a great reputation too.
This is a great gym with humble and highly skilled instructors. This gym offers an incredible environment and community to learn and grow in, especially FOR WOMEN. The ladies in our gym are safe and thriving!

After a couple of years of training here (and still here!), I can confidently say this gym stands unparalleled compared to other gyms I've gone to. It's not just a gym; it's a community where everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes, is welcomed with open arms. Visited 10th planet Lombard from out of town. I really enjoyed my time there. I came in for open mat. Everyone was very friendly, no one was out to hurt anyone. Excellent culture at this gym. The owner of the gym was super friendly, he was showing techniques to students in the class. Would definitely recommend this gym.

Omar is a brilliant jiu jitsu artist and a kind sole. I am in town visiting family all the way from Canada and he let me come in for a class today. He made sure to role with me at the end of class and the guy is a brick wall. Look closely at his knees and you can see the tiny hands he uses to pull you in and suffocate you.
The Keyser, Andrew taught a great class on x guard with multiple variations and it really opened new doors for me. At the end he rolled with me and basically gave me a free private, going over everything he used on me in the roll.
It's just a matter of time before I switch over to the tenth planet family once I'm back home. There is no family like it.
My daughter has been going here since she was 4 and has been going consistently for over a year now. I couldn't be happier with this gym Omar and his students he trusts enough to teach classes go above and beyond too make sure everyone is progressing. Very accommodating this place is like our second home now. If 6 stars was an option this place deserves it. Very clean aswell.
Love, love, love training here! The instructors are amazing and so are the people that train here. They have classes for every level, from kids, new to jiu jitsu adults, and advanced training. It also helps that everyone on the team is extremely supportive and want you to love jiu jitsu just as much as they do.
Great place to go if you want a great professor! Omar is great at communicating and makes classes fun and informative. Competitive environment which leads to personal growth. If you want to be pushed and trained well come HERE!

The instruction to detail is top notch and everyone is so welcoming and accommodating. Classes are offered every day, so you can make whatever time is available for you. Becoming a member of 10th Planet Lombard was a GREAT decision! My 9 year old son and I joined the 10th Planet Lombard family last year. We love everything about this place! Great attitude and all around atmosphere. Omar, Mike, and the other instructors are incredible. The instructors and students are welcoming and very supportive. 10th Planet Lombard teaches the curriculum directly from HQ, which are the official 10th Planet Warmups.I seriously recommend 10th Planet Lombard to anyone looking to begin their Jiu Jitsu journey or anyone who has trained for many years and want to improve their Jiu Jitsu game.
It the short time that 10th Planet Lombard has been around, Omar has made it one of the best places to learn Jiu Jitsu in the Chicago area. Omar is super knowledgeable and a great teacher and everyone who trains there makes it really fun to be there.
Stopped in for an open mat. Wasn't really sure what to think at first. Walked in to an immediate wall of pungent weed smell, and the office/lounge area didn't seem very clean or organized. I'd always heard the weed jokes about 10th Planet but never been to one, and I definitely got some dirty stoner vibes at first.
But the mats themselves and the weight lifting space next to them seemed to be clean enough. Everyone I rolled with was chill and friendly.
But overall they could definitely do with cleaning up the place a bit. Maybe some racks/shelves/cubes for people to put their gym bags and shoes so that they're not just strewn about all over the floor.
